Do not give Ivy a mini-gun. LOL She acquired one during the quest for Abernathy. When I killed Ack-Ack, Ivy picked up the mini-gun.  She's been using it ever since but I may have to take it away from her...makes her overpowered.  I use a mod to give companions unlimited ammo, I always hated trying to keep them supplied.

 

Hmm...wow...was just thinking...for some real 'total annihilation'...wonder what happens if I handed her a fatman. LOL

OK. I'm just going to assume you're speaking from a place of ignorance. The "Author" @Reginald_001 Wanted Ivy to be base game compatible. IF she hooked into AAF then she would require it. It's that simple. Reg has worked near nonstop on improving and fixing the Mod. You con across as a bit ungrateful and full of yourself.  Think it's so easy? Where's your mod?

I think you misunderstand, Ivy is an adult mod, as in meant for adults, she's not a sex-mod.

I don't see the question, but am open to hearing how it would be interpreted as such. Past posts suggest perhaps the author of AAF may create a patch for Ivy, so you may want to yawn over there as well.

Ivy has become such a part of my FO4 play, I even 'incorporated' her into my Sims 3 game.

If you'd paid attention you would  know that. She's a total companion with many quests and a deep backstory. One would think that by version 5.2 people would have read what Ivy is about and understood that.

Not fixed in 5.2...what's the stage and name to finish this quest in the console?

 

Edit: Not the entire quest starts again...the stage (in quest journal) is to install the hypercombat firmware upgrade.

 

I'd already done that and stashed all the tapes in the workbench, but having completed my abode I moved them all to a container there for holotapes and this bug kicked in.

To be fair, it's quite possible to have AAF as a soft-requirement, rather than a hard-requirement.

But I do understand that's more of a 'technicality', and for the average user, you're quite right.

Verified I have 5.2.0.4 with porn mags. The workbench in question is in Sanctuary and I am now level 16 so this occurred somewhere around level 10 to 12. There is only one quest to update the firmware? Not a second quest to do a further upgrade? I have been to the lab and I did update the first time and she now has Hypercombat.

 

I don't know at what point I stashed the tape. Too many tapes in my inventory an I like to keep inventory short and tidy so if an item is not quest related and it's not a necessity like Stimpaks...it gets stashed.

 

I can ignore it, but I do bring it up because of the possibility that any of her further quests are halted until this one is finished.  At any rate, if you can give me the setstage for this I can have her moving on again.

 

Edit:  Playing the firmware holotape says to "Please press 'Install HyperCombat Routines'"  however this time around there is no such option.

Feel free to use the AAF program and its various anims in your game along with Ivy.  Everything is here, on LL, to make your fantasies come true.  However, they are'nt actually included with any particular NPC, and that includes Ivy.  As to how to hook the black scenes into AAF...  Go over to the AAF forum and ask.  This is the Ivy forum.  No animations here...

Edit:  Is it just me or did you play with Ivy's mesh tracking?  5.2 seems less capable of following than ver. 4.  Or maybe I just notice it more because of the different method of teleporting.

Just wanted to drop a line about how Ivy randomly drops in golden moments during a play-through

 

I've got a heavily fortified base at The Slog and occasionally bait the Forged to come over and take a pot-shot; the settlement defences then go mental and we get Forged paté. All good fun... only I didn't take into account Ivy and her hyper-combat.

 

I did the usual shoot and scoot (towards the Slog) and the Forged came running after. Suddenly there's this flash next to me, and what looked like a series of them in rapid succession... I look back and there's Ivy walking towards me with this CLOUD of Forged bits behind her. "Kaboom. Bitch" says Ivy as she calmly walks back.

 

Utter genius that moment

When I was doing a quest in Ivy's subconscious, I found a Blowjob! magazine.But it can't be placed on the magazine rack.

So Ivy gave me the Hypercombat quest and I found the tape in the yellow chest.  I ran the holotape in my inventory... but nothing changed on the controller tape.  It stated error in the Pip-Boy "Please Input Decryption Key"... what are my options?

EDIT: Nevermind all is well.  I reloaded and re ran the quest and snagged the tape and this time a cut scene triggered telling me to go to Medtek.  False alarm!

I'm quite an old guy, i'm 60, i guess i misbehave a lot in my life considering this, sorry it's because my dad told me when i was still a young man that people who talk a lot about sex are mostly unable to perform correctly, so they compensate with talking about it all the time.?

 

Great work with Ivy by the way, i installed the 5.2 and i have a lot of fun, i particularly love the dialogues and interactions with NPCs and the world, best companion mod i ever got!

 

And for those who need more explicite fuck, AAF works perfectly with Ivy, with all the animations you can find here from Leito or Savagecabbage.

Of course it could be implemented in the mod as other mod use AAF, but it's a lot of work and it's a pain in the ass to make it work correctly if you need quality.

I haven't played with Ivy (or in Fallout for that matter) in a while and I can't remember if she counts against the possibility of the Lone Wanderer perk. I'm dreaming up my Special Stats and I want to know if I should consider enough charisma for the perk. Thank. I'm really juiced to play with the new Ivy perk or no perk! Hope you all are well.

Ivy talks a lot about sex.But she also has to talk about it a lot-because she is a sex bot).And when she says she wants to get laid, it's just plain sexual chatter.Even Piper says that there is no need to waste time and it's time to go to bed  After hearing users ' requests,Reginald came up with one dialogue where Ivy specifically offers a choice of sex,dancing,or raunchy conversation.The sex scene in it is vanilla-just a black screen with sighs and gasps.Just need to make a patch for this scene.

P.S.By the way,you said you were making a companion mod for Ivy.I would like to test it)).

I too would love an update on that project. Great work on Ivy, even her bot voice is growing on me.

Yea, she talks a lot about doing it, but then I go to dialogue and there is nothing there to actually do what she wants. She can be violated by AAF Violate as I have lost a few fights. Damn limb damage!  I am sure others would use her too but after a lot of playing and testing I have settled on only three mods: AAF Violate, Hardship and Ivy. The rest are either too buggy or perform in ways I find un-immersive. 

 

Right now she's dancing naked and servicing clients at Red Rocket while I go through Piper's quests.

Ivy has the most sophisticated combat system ever coded into a companion. You can see vanilla Ivy shoot, explode, burn, stab, eviscerate, behead, unlimb, vaporise, turn-inside-out and otherwise murder her human enemies in every violent gory detail. But there is no way you can kiss or even hug Ivy. There are NO opportunities for simple human physical intimacy. Hell, it's hard enough to even sit on the same seat with her!

 

So it would be nice if there was a topic on LoversLab dedicated to the creation and use of AAF-type plugins with Ivy.

There is certainly enough interest, many of us already know that Ivy works with AAF with minimal issues. And maybe everyone is NOT interested in rape, torture, kidnap and abduction. In my Fallout universe the only visible plugin-generated sex is consensual - except if Ivy rapes a male NPC (but he doesn't seem to mind).

It's seems quite strange hearing about prudery with Ivy as she often speak about scat things, it looks like people who made it have some sense of culpability for beeing so audacious!!

Never mind Ivy is great as she is and i love her, i love her voice, i love to look at her imagining foolish things!?

As i experienced it many times in my long life, some fantasies look dull when you realise them.

I have AAF installed and all the animations, but i never used them with Ivy, i don't feel the need to do it, she already fullfill my imagination!
