Nuka Add-on -> that's right - the "Nuka World" DLC includes an add-on with Ivy... this is much more than a quest - it's essentially about Ivy's "redemption."   Thank you my friend. And could you tell me what is Space vault 14 ?  EDIT : Nevermind I found it. Its a new quest about far harbor as I understand Edited February 13 by DazeJar

OddNooFoo Posted February 14 Posted February 14 @DazeJar, are you able to get Ivy to work with a StoryWealth? If so, what, if any aSW addons do you have? I can't get my game to load when I have Ivy in the mix and I am trying to track down what might be causing the conflict.

I hit "dirty", 'get a fun dirty talk alright, but that's it, no black screen, no "scene not even the sound of it". I knew there was something fishy, in my configuration I suppose. I turned off AAF but it's not mandatory, right? + Also, I can't find those two Ivy's resets options in my inventory anymore? SOLVED Because all of a sudden she is now holding her weapon all the time for some reasons and I want her to behave normally like she used to. SOLVED Edited February 15 by jmlparis

A nice "general" trick I use to find the mod culprit is using Vortex's Profiles, but it could be a bit dangerous as it's a no return kind of thing. Make a base safe "OK Working" profile, clone it right away with a new "Test Full" profile, clone that "Test Full" one in a "Test Half A", now use that one only and disable half of your mods, launch the game to see if it solved the issue. If not, do the same with the other half of your mods, with a new profile you called "Test Half B" from "Test Full", that one safe base you should never work with. And going half by half you should find the problem... after a while. Long, but very efficient. Edited February 15 by jmlparis
jmlparis Posted February 15 Posted February 15 (edited) Now I got it! As it might be intentional on you side, the rest is gonna go hidden: Spoiler I had to hit "dirty talk" around ten times in a row before things finally happened. And 'seems like AAF has to be on. Fun, only there is no hint to it. I wouldn't have ever known. Â Edited February 15 by jmlparis
jmlparis Posted February 15 Posted February 15 (edited) Now that I have almost everything working, I recommend that nexus patch mod and the related mod here on LL to have an also simple real life relationship with Ivy. And don't forget AAF. Edited February 15 by jmlparis

jmlparis Posted February 17 Posted February 17 (edited) One thing about this Ivy's mod: I can't cease to be amazed by the quality and quantity of its content the more I slowly discover it. Creation, imagination, courage. And I'm not surprised it's almost impossible to make such an intense story without any "flaw". Now, about the sexy part: that could be seen as a down side to that mod being seen only as nothing but a sex mod. Which is not, as it's much more than that, a DLC even, the only companion mod I know of that gaming level. The good side? Sex brought, attracted me to it. And now I'm enjoying both, sex and the story. Like in real life. Greatest job. Edited February 18 by jmlparis
travelmedic Posted February 19 Posted February 19 I'm in Nuka World with Ivy right now doing the quest to find Dr. Stein's holotapes (Ivy Goes To Nuka World?). I really want to get the "good" ending and I've read your documentation and the spoiler about option "########" (don't want to spoil it if people want to be surprised). Does that "########" hint apply to this quest, or is it for the later Stein's Construct quest?  I ask because the "#" option so far hasn't seemed like the positive, supporting option. Wondering if my dialogue choices got scrambled because of XDI or some other reason, or I'm just mistaking the quest the hint is for. I've only found two holotapes so far, and while I picked a different #, both times she thanked me afterwards for always being supportive.  Hopefully that means I'm still on the right track.

Sounds right. Just be there for her. Don't guide or direct the story in anyway (Mercy will take advantage of that and use it to convince the player is manipulating her and Ivy hates manipulation), and also don't be hesitating.. She will lose confidence if you are.  So the answers are always 'You needed to know' and 'I'm here for you' and 'together we can solver it'. And not; "I think it's Stein's fault" (players only saw one side of the story and don't really know), or "What do you think we should do now?" (disinterest/insecurity). Those are two traits that Ivy eventually bounces off of. Edited February 19 by Reginald_001 1

Battletooth Posted February 20 Posted February 20 (edited) I have small question, is there anyway you can speed affinity gain with Ivy? Â I mean i have played couple times with ivy, got so far that i did Ivys memory quest(teleport to facility with raiders and small quest), but usually i was about late in main quest did that and started new game later. Â Now i have new game with new patches and almost forgot Ivy, i have done most main map, im late in main quest, Far Harbor is basically done, except few side quests. I still have lot companions i need work with affinity and just remember to i need to talk lot with ivy to start her quests and got memory quest again and i did it, but I just feel this is going to take forever and its not far I will finish main quest again and propably start over later. Nuka world is not done however and I got Ivy to give me nuka world quests before, but i have never done those earlier. Â My game version is FO4 NG(blocked steams AE update for now), I have turned ivy profanity off (i tried turn it on and off and spam talking however)and i dont have magazines addon, previously i had those so I just think if i should add those to get affinity faster. I just want to get all Ivy quests done before i finish main quest and probaply keep break from FO4 again(until I start again). Ofc its possible i start over and try keep only Ivy with me, but you need nick for Far Harbor, piper/curie, McReady perks almost every game too and its long task to get all companions affinty maxed. Â sry if this is confusing not native english. Edited February 20 by Battletooth
IBAGadget Posted February 21 Posted February 21 you do not need Nick for Far Harbour You can build up Piper's and Curie's affinity faster by having them with you when you build settlements. Curie also likes it when you do the USS Constitution sidequest, so skip doing that until you have her with you. same with Cambridge Polymer Labs. For Cait, just fast travel naked. she likes that.

Hermaeus Moron Posted March 10 Posted March 10 (edited) Okay, I am currently working on resolving a number of issues related to NSFW mods atm, but in the meantime I have been running Ivy as a companion on a SFW save profile. Just wanted to say the writing and voice acting are spectacular. I rarely use companions, but decided to download this mod on a lark. Was thoroughly taken aback by just how vocally dirty, edgy, and hilarious Ivy is. I practically died when we finally broke into Will Murray's basement and got a full-throated Zombieland scene reenactment, complete with fangirling from Ivy and a decoratively overstocked safehouse. Ivy now stands with M'rissi as a must-have companion in my book, and you have my thanks. Edited March 10 by Hermaeus Moron typo 1

Könnten Sie bitte genauer erklären, was Sie mit der Zeile „Do not run Ivy AFT“ meinen? Selbst Google Translate konnte hier nicht weiterhelfen.  Danke schön. Übrigens, ich liebe deine DLC-ähnliche Mod wirklich sehr. Ich mag Ivy total. Ihre ironischen Bemerkungen über den faulen Sturges und die Tatsache, dass ich ihm wahrscheinlich auch noch den Hintern abwischen muss, haben mich herzhaft zum Lachen gebracht.  "AFT" is a framework that controls how the game handles multiple companions... because the "normal" game only allows one companion per player.  "Ivy," however, is a very special companion, and her "internal AI" (the system that controls "Ivy") is NOT compatible with "AFT" or other multi-companion mods! Therefore, the strong recommendation is: either "AFT" or "Ivy"... but NOT both together!  If you still want to install a framework that manages multiple companions, INCLUDING "Ivy," then follow the mod author's recommendations! 1

Her ironic remarks about lazy Sturges and the fact that I'll probably have to wipe his bottom too, made me laugh heartily.  Like @Miauzi said, AFT is a framework to have multiple followers. It stands for Amazing Follower Tweaks Tweaks, and is a mod on Nexus. Reginald, the author of Ivy, recommends against using it, because of changes AFT makes to the game, and the fact that it can break Ivy's AI. You will also apparently miss out on much of Ivy's content if you use it.  Some people report better success with Liga Of My Companions, but you still miss some content even with that.  Reginald does have his own multiple follower framework that allows you to have Ivy and one other companion. That's the only one guaranteed not to break her.  Or just not use any framework and only have one companion. 2

YaelRahr Posted March 13 Posted March 13 OMG ... Sorry, yes I am stupid and no I don't have AFT active in my "Companion Ivy" MO2 Profile. Shame on me... thank you all.
