I talk to her all the time....and had killed several clients for her. To try to get it to start I go to her bunker with her and ask about the picture of Mercy.

No into the deep quest, and not telling me to find any journals.

I have played with her on another playthough and went pretty far in her quests.

Is there a command console command I can use to start into the deep?

do not know if there is a console command to start the "Into the Deep" quest.  it is an affinity quest and can start anywhere, if your affinity with Ivy is

high enough.

things Ivy likes include shops (go shopping with her with you), beaches (visit places like Nordingham Beach, Spectacle Island, Warwich Homestead),

and high places (go to top of tower in Bunker HIll etc).  going to these type places with Ivy with you will help raise her affinity.

Ivy will (eventually) talk to you about her instability and request you to help her which is the start of the "Into the Deep" quest (1st major affinity quest).

Into the Deep must be completed before you will get the find the journals quest.

what i found worked for me to help raise her affinity faster was to take her somewhere she likes, then talk to her (ask her her thoughts and how she feels

about our relationship), go do something else (so that about 6-8 game hours passed), rinse and repeat (just not going back to same type of place

2 times in a row).

you might want to check your inventory for a extra holotape (iirc NX-2C Neural Controller Holotape) that she gives you.  iirc it will be in the misc section of

inventory (not in the aid section). when you play it you will be teleported into her mind.  it is not the holotape to teleport her or the one with the debug functions.

Hello

I have encountered a bug, where I didn't get NX-2C Neural Controller Holotape from Ivy, when Into the deep quest started. Maybe it was because she was in bleedout state when the quest started. Please what's the command for adding it into my inventory?

Thank you

Hi Reg,

Have encountered one problem with Ivy's Nika World quest and would like to know if u can help.

More precisely I am at Dr. Stein's maze, in front of the Gatekeeper (to get to firewall).

I have obtained Deb's final note with password,

Please also mind that I did not speak to Gatekeeper before obtaining the note (the optional quest target completed successfully.

When I start talking to Gatekeeper, after 3 attempts I am presented with 4 options.

1. I don't know

2. I don't know

3. A password which is not the one in Deb's last note

4. Another password, wrong again.

From what I've seen on a video, option nr 2 should have been the correct password.

Therefore I can not proceed with the quest any further...

Any help welcome

Thx in advance Reg for everything!

Thanks for all of the helpful tips, I just think that maybe I am going to have to do another fresh start playthrough. I am now at level 54 and ivy has told me all kinds of things about the pelican king and her life as a raider but still no into the deep quest.

I have had a number of bugs associated with some of the mods I have. I just wish that Ivy would give me the into the deep quest.

Thanks again for all the helpful tips, and Ivy is still the best Companion.

Just chiming in to tell you, you are not alone😉, I have the same issue, in two different existing playthroughs and in a new one, into the deep simply does not start, however, at least the secondary backup processor came up. I finished Ivy goes to nuka world before, so I think the issue is in one of my mods I installed lately, one day I will figure it out. Until then I just keep on rocking with Ivy.

Hey Reginald, just finished all of Ivy's quests and again, magnificent work, seriously, chapeau!

But just one thing that makes me lose sleep lol^^ On the quest "Into the deep" (i play newest version of Ivy) there is a track, that music, can you tell me the name of that track? If i'm not mistaken, is this a track of your own? Is there any way to get it? I love that track a lot! If by any chance could get it, would be awesome. And is only for personal use, listen to it when feel like it...thx again for this great mod!

They are from a project I did in 2002 called 'The Fallen'.

And their respective titles are 'Rust 1' (first map) and 'Rust 2' (second map).

They have not been released so I can't share them easily, but you should be able to extract them quite easily from the mod files using bethesda archive extractor.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/974

Then using Yakatori you can convert from XWM to WAV or MP3:
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17765/

I may upload the hi-def uncompressed tracks to youtube at a later date.

Ahh screw it, here ya go:

There must be a console command to start the Companion Ivy "Into the Deep" Quest, I am now at 70 and just can't get her to give me the quest.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no console command. It's started through her regular dialog under simple conditions. The fact that it's not starting means there's something fundamentally wrong with your install. For instance, is the companionivy_quest.esp file active? (Which contains the quest). But that's just one instance, it could be many other factors interfering with your unique install. The problem is that if this one doesn't start, it's most likely her other quests will have issues too.

So there's not really anything I can do to help you 'kickstart' the quest, other than reloading an older save or starting a new game (but after you found out what was breaking Ivy, then shared it with us so we can inform others that run into this issue).

Was same for me^^ But Reginald answered this on another comment iirc, that helped me too.

Anyways, seems you still miss some notes. Check for more spots to find them. They are usually on spots where you also have a candle / lightsource next to it.

Hi there,

Thx for answering. According to a video playthrough of the quest, I have all the notes available in the maze...

Anyway, the 'solution' I found was to progress the quest using setstage and add the key manually. From that point on, quest progressed successfully to the very end and Ivy stayed with me...

Too small annoyance for such a great mod! Ivy is the BEST!

Looking forward to her Far Harbor chapter (hopefully compatible with existing saves)!

Thx Reg for Ivy!

There'll be a Far Harbor expansion on Ivy? Sounds good, didnt know lol

For me the issue was missing notes, lacking more options. but however, cool you got it done.

is there a patch to remove all the cuckoldry?

Honestly that is probably the only thing I didn't like about the mod; the prostitution being enabled by default instead of disabled and opt-in, the comments to Travis during the Confidence Man quest, and the "I miss my clients" portion that is likely tied to my first gripe.

I suppose the terminal entries also don't have alternate states in relation to disabling prostitution as well since they mention her clients even if you immediately disable it after her initial recruitment talk/scene.

Other than those bits, the mod author really cooked with this mod. So while I thoroughly disliked the "cuckoldry" content, overall the mod was pretty great.

You can marry Ivy?????

Apart from additional mods: this is exactly what she wonders herself when you give her a wedding ring and check her terminal in the bunker later.

Guys, could anybody be so kind as to share a save with Into the deep (just) started? Cannot make it work again, no matter what I tried (existing saves, new playthrough, de-installing mods, you name it).

not everyone is into cuckoldry guys

Tying her down to a workbench and screwing her brains out is not cuckoldry - it's bondage.

What does cuckoldry mean?

Cuckold is an insulting term for a husband whose spouse has had a sexual affair. Cuckoldry can mean one of two things: the act of making man a cuckold (by having an affair with his spouse), or the state of being a cuckold.

Cuckold and cuckoldry are applied only to men. Both terms are intended to be insulting and shameful to the man they are applied to

I asked this same thing twice...nobody helped...so it sat in quest journal for over 2 game yrs.  Never got beyond this, but maybe it's a don't ask don't tell anyone kind of quest...

Have either of you read the manual here or here ?

These quests initiate in part by her affinity level.  Her affinity is raised by talking to her frequently.

Diese Quests werden zum Teil durch ihre Affinitätsstufe initiiert. Ihre Affinität wird durch häufige Gespräche mit ihr gesteigert.

Typical for a particular group of mod users... a question is asked 5 times and answered five times - you can read all about it in the thread belonging to the mod

If the same question, which has long been answered, is then asked again - what will happen if it apparently remains unanswered?

Of course people will complain about this - because these people never had the intention of searching through existing posts for solutions to their problems.

If it really bothers you that much, you can find the line in fo4edit and alter the flag to 'say once' after she will never repeat the line. Do it at your own risk tho, warrantee voided. Check for fo4edit 'override' tutorials on how to.

I'm actually really very flattered when people experience it as cuckoldery. It's a confirmation that she got under a player's skin and they have expectations and she is in some aspect real to them, causing real emotions. I mean, you can't experience 'cuckoldery' if you don't have feelings. ;)

I've played with a lot of mod companions in Fallout 4, including Heather Casdin, Darlene, Ellen, and Kit from "The Machine and Her." Ivy feels like more of a real person than any of them. Until I played Ivy, I thought Heather Casdin was the best such companion mod out there--I was wrong. Now I'm not saying I no longer like or play with Heather, she's still a permanent fixture in my load order. What I am saying is that I've found Ivy is better; she even got me to stop spending my entire run in powered armor. I've even turned around and put my flashlight on something because she asked me to. She feels more like a real person than any CRPG character outside of Baldur's Gate 3 and easily matches them.

I am truly impressed.
