I have the same disorder as ivy and I really liked the level that delved into her psychology (only played 4 or 5 of her missions so far) i do think if ur looking for accuracy, I'd say brush up on terminology. A lot of people get schizophrenia and DID confused, but they're not related.

I think her writing is great, she has the sexiest voice and its hilarious when she mocks danse. Well done!

I was going to post about this but searched first and found your comment.

The questlines were fantastic, especially Stein's Construct.  But I did wince a bit every time schizophrenia was mentioned.  Ivy did not display symptoms of consistent delusionary hallucinations.  She does however suffer clearly from a dissociative disorder.  Schizophrenia is apparently genetic.  i.e. if there is no family history then you won't have it either.   Schizophrenics have delusions/hallucinations that their minds have trouble distinguishing from reality.  Schizophrenics only have 1 personality though.  They can sometimes appear to be talking to themselves, but in such cases are instead talking to audio and/or visual hallucinations.

Dissociative Identity Disorder (what used to be called Multiple Personality Disorder) appears however to be trauma induced and is closely related to PTSD.  More recent research in that field has shown it to be part of a spectrum of dissociative disorders.  Traditional DID is where the distinct identities within a person have fully separate memories.  Each identity is typically totally unaware of any others unless told about them by someone, such as a therapist, doctor, etc.  Sufferers of DID experience full dissociative fugue and blackouts. When one personality takes over, any others have no memory of actions taken, words spoken, emotions, thoughts, etc. during that time.

There are other dissociative disorders however that can have varying degrees of memory issues.  Less severe dissociative disorders than full on DID may experience shared physical memories, but suffer "emotional amnesia" or feel completely "disconnected" with certain memories in one state but connected to them while in others.  There are also cases where one or two identities suffer "holes" in their memory while others don't.

Unlike the poster I quoted, I don't have DID, but I do have one of the lesser forms unfortunately.  And yeah, it was caused by very serious early trauma.  It's made life extremely challenging.

TL;DR:  the wrong term is used, but much of the mental struggle depicted resonated deeply with me as someone who suffers from a similar disorder.  Thank you so much for this mod!!!

Hi there. Can someone help me out. I'm using Companion Ivy and it's working flawlessly. I have used it before and it let me build Ivy's radio towers at my settlements. This time it's not giving me the option. I love the music and her voice. Am I missing something? Thank you in advance.

No option as in the build icon isn't there or it's greyed out?

Hi I just installed and for some reason, the radio station has no sound. I get the quest to tune in to the station, but no audio plays, this is also the case when I turn on the radio inside Ivy's place. Any idea what I can do?

Edit: Actually I just converted all of the radio .xwm files to .wav and had a listen to the start and middle segments of each one for a few seconds, and I can't actually hear anything that sounds like the audio that plays in the walkthrough video. Is it possible that this file is placed elsewhere or accidentally removed?
(PS. I SUPER love the Dalek references)

Hi, your post was a while ago, but I had exactly the same problem! And no mod files were changed in any way, it seems to be a bug. But I couldn't find out where it came from. Could it be due to some other mod? But I don't have any mods that change anything in the radio or music.
After I had played through ‘Far Harbor’, Ivy's radio suddenly stopped working.
Then at some point I was in ‘Nuka World’ and I was surprised to realise that suddenly the Ivy radio was working again.
I don't know what triggers this or why it suddenly worked again. But maybe just keep playing and wait and see.

I have a question for the "Robotics Assimilation" quest. I know, there is help in the "Walkthroughs & Gameplay Help" thread with images.

After finding one journal, I first took care of the quest in the main game. Now I wanted to continue the ‘Robotic Assimilation’ quest and realised that the quest marker always points to my character. Is this supposed to be the case, or is there something wrong with my quest?
I'm not sure, but I have the impression from the pictures in the help thread that the marker points to the corresponding environment on the map. Could that be the case?

The quest points to a journal that's already in your inventory, hence it points to you.

ya i figured that out but it kinda sucks cause apparently AAF autonomy requires xcell

Isn't there a patch somewhere? Check Ivy's discord in my sig, I'm sure there's people that can help you out over at the mod&techsupport channel.

Hi, I’ve noticed that whenever I recruit Ivy, the teleportation settings in the holotape reset to default(on). I’m not sure if this is due to a conflict or if it’s just how it’s designed.

I tried looking into it with Fo4Edit but couldn’t figure it out. Is there a way to set it so teleportation is disabled by default?

love your mod, one of the best imo, just want to confirm.

I think it turns on automatically upon recruitment, not really possible to change that without altering the scripts.

Thanks! okay then, I’ll just leave it as it is—it's not really an issue :)

The absolutely BEST companion ever! I wish you made one for Skyrim too. I love the way she speaks up in so many cut scenes and the random comments she makes. Just awesome. Thank you for your great work.

Just wanted to add that Ivy and her quests made Nuka World worth buying.  I could say so much more I like but I don't want to spoil it for anyone.

So first playthrough with Ivy. Is she supposed to be able to go to the institute right away? Every time I would start the institute quest Shaun wouldn't respond. So I dismissed Ivy then started the quest. After that Shaun responded.
