It's possible that the Hyper Combat teleport can mess with AAF Violate rape scenes that include the follower.  I had issues with that when my Nora and Ivy were beaten in Medford Hospital by Super Mutants.  During the ensuing rapes,  I saw Ivy "flash teleport" to a sex animation and I think that messed up the while thing because the Super Mutants went hostile after that.  I reloaded and disabled Ivy's Hyper Combat teleport and that seemed to fix the issue with me and Ivy being teleported to the RSE captive scenario through Violate.  (I had it set to 100% in the event of defeat)

Ivy attacks the Super Mutant raping her?

Sounds right to me.

Sounds like a yes to me, maybe disable HC via console during AAF scenes to let the animations play out

@ANGRYWOLVERINE In the past I used this guide to help me install AAF and animations, What I've come to call "Naught Mods" Hop this helps.

https://www.loverslab.com/topic/124848-aaf-a-comprehensive-installation-guide-and-resource-collection-wip/

Thanks.

I  know there are some people who stuck/are sticking with the earlier animation process.

I was amused when someone posted that those shouldn't be used outside of AAF.Or at least that is what I thought he meant.

Kinda hard for anyone to enforce that.lol.

As it is AAF to me just hasn't been able to achieve the stability the sexlab framework or OSA have.It may get there eventually but doesn't , at least to me appear to be there just yet.

But I will stick with it for now.

Level 200, 385 hours played so far. Started with Ivy 5.0, updated to 5.1. Pretty thoroughly scoured the wasteland twice and have found 67 originals of Ivy's magazines, plus about 140 copies. Wasn't expecting it, but found plenty of magazines in Far Harbor, NukaWorld, Fusion City and the OAR and Project Valkyrie locations!

Loot Detector has been useful, but it doesn't flag all the mags. Hopefully the last 5 mags will turn up before Ivy 5.2 arrives!

Cheeky of Ivy.  And you.

Don't forget who wrote her! lol.

But I didn't do anything with Ivy's HC to protect against AAF or other animations. I don't use them myself and the reason behind making her an ESM was simply so modders with that type of expertise can make proper AAF plugins for her. So hopefully that's what will happen, a talented modder will step up to make Ivy integrate fully with animations.

Been working today on a new hypercombat attack. When player health is lower than 5 hitpoints (e.g. near death).

And there are more than 5 active combatants left, there is a small percentage that Ivy goes into Overkill mode.

Which sort of looks like this: (e.g. she jumps from enemy to enemy to thin the herd).

I'm a little confused about the installation.  I extracted the CompanionIvy5.zip and got Companion Ivy 5.0.7z.  I used MO2 to install it and the magazine addon.  I downloaded CompanionIvy5.z01 but I am not sure how to install this one.  Your instructions say it will automatically install it if it is in the same directory, but is that in the game directory.  I have my downloaded zip/.7 files in a directory from which I install them through MO2.  Thanks.

@Reginald_001. I have just finished Ivy's memory quest and came across an issue which may be a one off but I though I would let you know.

This description has spoilers

Spoiler

At the point on the top floor where you hear ivy's radio and pick up the last of the memory tapes and go to meet Mercy I actually bypassed her to go back down to the bottom floor and search the area where the police protectron is as i missed that area. When I went back up to the top floor and spoke to Mercy she did the first part of the conversation and then my PC just stood there in awkward silence giving the occasional agreement but the silent conversion never ended and  I was stuck and couldn't proceed with the quest. I reloaded a save I had just before I headed downstairs (standing in front of Mercy) and started the conversation straight away and then I realized little Debby was part of that conversation and the quest proceeded fine from there. On the first attempt Debbie had disappeared and wasn't with me when I came back up to the the fourth floor after exploring so it appears this may cause an issue with the Mercy conversation not completing if Debbie is not with you. It may have been a one off thing in my game or I didn't wait long enough for Debbie to catch back up but it was a noticeable awkward moment in the game.  As a side note I also found a master level safe on that bottom floor which has me wondering should I be level 18 before doing this quest so I don't miss anything important or is it just a random safe?

I am still kind of play testing with Ivy, sim settlements, naughty mods and waiting for mod updates (Ivy 5.2) before I commit to a load order for my first play through but for the short time in game I have played with her she is gold.

My first play through of FO4 will be mostly revolve around her so awesome work Reg.

That camera thing is a Vanilla fallout issue. The trick is to 'roll out' of the dialogue, by moving your mouse, face the NPC then click on 'use' and the scene should continue.

Thanks for your kind words.. you ain't seen nothing yet! A lot of cool stuff is coming up for Ivy!

Would anyone have any advice on how to rename Ivy? The Rename Anything mod doesn't seem to be working.

I don't think this is actually technically possible with Ivy, without simply overriding her name in an ESP.

New PC, getting everything set up with a full suite of current mods. Everything's working well so far, except that for some reason I can't seem to SLM Ivy's appearance anymore. I used to do it all the time on v4, making changes relevant to our adventures (scars, tattoos, hair length, etc).

My RP plan was to bring her to Dr Amari, then make her look like Nora via a LooksMenu preset... But I'm there now, and although I get the char gen menu, no changes or presets are ever shown on her. I've tried:

slm [ID]

slm [ID] 1

slm [ID] 2

But none of them have any effect.
Any ideas?

[Edit] Nevermind! There was some kind of flat plane in the cell constantly orienting to face me... Fog from another mod maybe?... It meant I was never properly selecting Ivy. All I had to do was go back out into Goodneighbour.

Best thing to is also tell her to sit down on a chair or bench

As to re-naming Ivy, you just need to go in to the CK, load up Ivy's actor profile and change the name and the short name,  Wohla, Ivy has a new name..  What I DON'T know is how many dialogues there with Ivy's name hardcoded in them....  I guess you could go into the CK, export all of the dialogue, import it into maybe word pad and do a find and replace.  Then save that as plain txt and re-import it back in to the dialogue...  Hmm...  RREALLY sure you don't like the name Ivy?

Can someone please help me? I am on the quest where you go into Ivy's subconscious and meet Debby. I am on the part about helping her escape the raiders and the quest log says "Find a way up!".

Well after three hours of looking I cannot find a way up! Quest marker is on elevator button. Rode that damn elevator dozens of times and cannot find a way out or "up".  There are stairs on one floor but a partition blocks it off. I did "tcl" and found a raider up there but seemingly no way to complete this quest. Is it bugged or am I just a half blind old fart who hates friggin puzzles? Any clues will be appreciated. Thanks. End of rant.

Never mind. I finally figured out what I missed.

Just wanted to say it was one of the best (albeit attention to detail required) quest I have ever experienced in this game!!!  Parts of it  were very eerie and disturbing.  Great work.

Ivy works great so far.  Got to Concord, found the Hypercombat tape.  Attempted to install it, and got an error about invalid encryption key.  Subsequent attempts to install don't even bring up the "Install" option, and the quest appears to be stuck waiting for me to play the tape and install the routines.

If this is just a quest mechanic and I need to find the encryption key, then fine...  but there's no indication of how to do that -- just a repeated request to install the hypercombat routines...  which will not install.

Something weird going on, but I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before... First of all, no, I'm not using AFT but I do have Everyone's Best Friend. Two, this may be important, but I have used Cheat Terminal to give my companions infinite ammo for use with their upgraded weapons. I also have Nora Companion, though I'm not sure if this would affect things outside of dialogs.

Basically what I'm experiencing is two things: Ivy unequips her default weapon and fights bare-handed, or if using a custom weapon, she never fights and just runs away from every battle to go hide or cover herself with her arms. Even when I force equip her Hand Cannon via the holotape, she'll just unequip this and tries to go back into fisticuffs. Hypercombat doesn't even work at all.

Does anyone know what the issue could be?

I have observed this happen in very rare occasions (it happened to me once) and I was not able to ascertain the cause. It has since been fixed though, in 5.2.

I'll look into a way to see if this can be fixed for your current save.
