Read Dr. Black's and Dr. Stein's notes on the Pharaonic model of Ivy's psyche, Black being for this theory and Stein against it and decide for yourself if it's Ivy.. or someone else.

 

But if you really want to understand more about her psyche it's also good to read God Emperor of Dune and the three books leading up to it. I modeled parts of her psyche on how Leto manages to control all the different personalities within himself.

Hello Reginald...

 

it has been a couple of years since I have used Ivy in a play through...mostly because I wouldn't give AFT up....

 

So this is the first time in almost 8K hours of FO4  gameplay I do NOT have any follower management mods installed....pure vanilla..

 

I am only about 15 hours into this playthrough.....got Ivy first thing out of the vault and am enjoying her immensely....

 

Thank you for your continued work on her and hopefully you will have success in your endravors with her...

 

without me reading all of these pages would it be possible for you to give your opinion on which direction to go with her....she already mentioned wanting to go to Diamond City but I am building a few settlements first to house some of the Commonwealth Captives...so what I am asking is that when she asks to do or go something or somewhere, should I listen to her and do what she ask?

Hey there.  Just wanted to pop into this topic and say how much I am absolutely enjoying Ivy's company.  She's a great companion and an absolute hoot when it comes to fights and just random things she says.  I did come across a note that says "Don't take her to" but I didn't find any additional notes...I'm sitting here going "Don't take her where?!  I must know so I can totally just take her there and see what happens!"  Hoping that was just a cliffhanger note that makes you wonder until you stumble upon it and not a mistake.  Love the mod, love the voice acting, and absolutely loving the story she brings and her reactions to Preston specifically (God I hate that guy).

I agree. Ivy is a complex character which makes her even more interesting. I have done the Pelican quest but I still do not know where I am with her, even though she says she loves me. I wonder who has ultimate control over her. I or somebody/something with a remote control? I was surprised to learn that Preston made a pass at her. I hope that character Ivy will get updates with more surprises. Maybe her creators could introduce a secret lover or a rival who wants to win her for himself/herself? Or a sinister plot where Ivy is shown up as a devious honey trap?

Actually, everything they ask is explained ... in the game - in the quests

When you have done "Hyper-Combat" and "Ivy inside" - the background of Ivy's "construction" and also the intentions of her creator "Stone" -> to lock a large part of her old memories ... instead of erasing them "as usual".

And where you are "at" with Ivy you will only find out in "Nuka World" - because here you can still finally spoil everything you have built up with her until then!

No idea if you have really read the detailed entries in the terminals and written messages...

• The whole thing with the ramen robot in Diamond City was so real! Reminds me of when my wife said we had to stop to talk to her old boyfriend. I mean, keep it as a feature, but dang that hurts. ?

The file should be CompanionIvy6.1.7z

 

It's a .7z archive, don't unpack it before you install it. Don't forget to Enable it after installing, then Deploy your modlist

Do you mean XDI?  I have that and it causes no weapon malfunction for me.  Also had no issue bringing Ivy to Bunker Hill, at least so far.

1) Only happens when you accidentally steal something. I had this happen once when I picked up an owned piece of ammo on top of the tower. By the time I came down Ivy had murdered most of the town. Tip: Don't pick up 'red' stuff.

2) Because Michael, (not her boyfriend but her best friend sort of a brother) died in Power Armor due to an error with the fusion core.

3) Yes Takahashi's story is really fucked up.

Yeah. I gotta figure out what's going on with the weapon being stuck. May something as stupid as I need to clean my mouse button. I'm probably falling for a cum hoc ergo proctor hoc situation.  It is a weapon provided by a mod, so a possible mod conflict. Playing on survival, I lose the entire morning's adventure.

Seems I saw a mod  for saving in survival...

Love this mod.

I heard there was a "patch" to fix the extended dialog incompatibility. I need the extended dialog for the Just Business mod.

Where can I find the patch ? SS is in Nick's office, Ivy is pointing out that what's her name has a nice rack, and SS just froze as Nick was asking about Shaun going missing.

My first hypothesis is that I need the patch.

 

Edit: Yep. Reloaded a prior save. SS says he was in a cryo facility, Nick says a lot of trouble to get one person, and SS goes catatonic as the camera shifts to him.
