newdawn1975 Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 when u go to visit the institute the first time to talk to father and he shuts down synth shawn, when that code also shuts down ivy does that effect her in any way?
I've been using this mod for a few months to "replenish" my settlements No problems so far with either the "old" Ivy or the current one. Ultimately, the freed settlers keep running until you either dismiss them or assign them to a settlement. The only problem in this context is -> "Cait" She doesn't like freeing prisoners - even though she herself was enslaved by raiders for several years. It probably hinders the progress in terms of "affinity" a bit. But that has absolutely nothing to do with the Ivy mod!

Seems that you didn't have unvoiced dialogues with Ivy during your meeting with Father, can you confirm ? Dunno about "side effects", i stopped the quest because of some bugs...

Reginald_001 Posted January 28, 2022 Author Posted January 28, 2022 Yeah there are some lines missing there. Will be added with the patch. Also working on the 'shaun is stuck' bug when Ivy is not there with you. 2
After installing the Hyper-Combat on the Pip-Boy, a longer sequence with dialogue between the player and Ivy runs (the uncontrolled "jumping" is part of it) if this is interrupted, for example, by a fight with a ghoul - the Hyper-Combat works - but the quest is NOT ended In the current run I had the problem with the open quest again - but I had created a save directly before the installation Loaded it again and killed the last ghoul in the building - after that everything went as it should - installed Combat AND finished the quest

ravaner Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 21 hours ago, EgoBallistic said: Captives from CC aren't real companions, they use custom AI packages and dialogue that simulates companion behavior. They aren't ever made part of the companion quests or even added to the CurrentCompanionFaction. So if you have Ivy or a vanilla companion like Cait with you, they won't be affected one way or another when you free a captive. Ah thanks alot Ego!

kaininmorkai Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Hi All, I've come to the point in Ivy's story where I have to "deep dive" her subconscious. The quest log points to using the NX-2C holotape (Controller I think) & Ivy has said it will be the only command available, so it should be straight forward. Problem is, the holotape has all the usual control options available - follow distance etc, no other unique changes or options. Ivy instructs to go somewhere safe before activating the holotape. Is there an actual set of critical parameters to set, before the holotape changes or has a setstage not fired? Cheers.

You should use a specific holotape, named "Neural Controller Holotape", not the "Controller Holotape" you use to set Ivy. Ivy gives it to you when "Into the deep" begins. Check your inventory... Somewhere safe is wherever you don't risk to be ambushed, not a specific place... Sanctuary, DC, player's home for instance... Be ready, great quest ?

I was able to search for & console command the holotape however & I'm away again. Cheers.

TolstoyTony6265 Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Dunno if anyone's mentioned this before, but I found it funny, so I'm posting it here as a giggle. I have "Wasteland Imports" installed in my "vanilla" mods...it adds stuff from New Vegas into the Commonwealth...Sunset Sarsaparilla, Steady, etc, along with the magazines..."Meeting People", "Boxing Times", etc. When I find one of those, I get the same "Ivy Loved That" popup and her small speeches about mags. Thought it was kinda cool. 1

astor Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 I"m using the Star Trek Teleporter sound mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/54478?tab=posts and half-way works great with Ivy. When she teleports out, it's the usual sound, but when she comes back, i get the awesome star trek beaming sound. Is her teleport out sound a different sound file (i can't tell the difference) and is it possible to make it work when she teleports out as well?
Ironwulfthegreat Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 I just finished Ivy's Nukaworld DLC, and I want to thank Reginald and his team for a very enjoyable experience. 1
VladP Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 (edited) In the Museum, after Preston gives the quest, the game does not leave the dialogue state. It seems like Ivy wants to comment but cannot. As a result, the game is hung in the dialogue state. Moving away from the dialogue state creates all the problems of inability to unlock the door, no raiders appear and so on. This is a game breaking bug. Removing Ivy solves the problem. There are no mod conflicts, I've also checked that specifically. For your attention. Edited February 7, 2022 by VladP

travelmedic Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 Hi Reg, I assume you have probably already seen a recent Ivy/XDI patch that came out on Nexus, but just in case, here is the link: Companion Ivy XDI patch The mod author says it's not a bug fix, but just addresses a few dialogue topics that don't have full XDI compatibility??? Are these changes you might add to a future update, or deliberate design decisions on your part? Getting ready to start a new game, and I'd like to keep things true to your vision as much as possible, but if you endorse the changes I'll add the patch. Thank you.
