Also make sure you don't have F4z Ro D-oh - Silent Voice installed, cause it breaks subs. I've got the subtitles to work now, thanks. But my problem for the animations not playing still subsides. Am I meant to be pressing a button or would you be able to tell me what I'm doing wrong?

If all that fails try redownloading and reinstalling Hardship as it could be a corrupted script.

I've done everything correct in the installation guide and just did everything that you've said above, but yet I'm still getting nothing when it comes to any animations playing. Could I possible be missing anything else or is it worth just trying another sex mod?

Could I possible be missing anything else or is it worth just trying another sex mod? It's worth testing AAF itself first: press the "home" key on the keyboard to unhide its on-screen interface, then "enter" to expand the scene creator, use the up and down arrow keys to highlight an actor within range (maybe yourself) and press the "pgdn" key to select it, then use the up and down arrows and "pgdn" again to pick a second actor the same way, then the right arrow key to proceed to location selection, which will start with ground at the first actor highlighted, press the right arrow again and you should see a list of possible positions to start an animation for, press right a final time to select one and then you should see the interface indicate that it's in the "gathering" phase. After a few seconds (but possibly up to the configured walk_timeout for AAF, which defaults to 30 seconds if you didn't override it in the INI file) the chosen animation should start. When you want it to stop, press the "end" key and it should transition to ending and then complete within a few more seconds. Once you're satisfied with your testing, pressing the "home" key again will hide the AAF UI to get it back out of your way. Edited April 6, 2022 by vaultbait 2
Adapt1973 Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Just wanted to thank you for making and sharing these mods of yours. Top notch stuff here. After playing Hardship for a while I found the Nuka ride mod, I was so excited when I saw you had a version of it. You are one hell of an emerson builder! Crackle, Hospitality! lol keep it coming! 1

Guest Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 So, I don't know if this has been suggested/asked about yet. I understand that this is more of an RP mod than anything else. However, could if be done that instead of having to toggle Hardship off to be able to talk to an NPC normally that a hotkey prompt could be used (like in the mods 'Move' and 'QuickTrade')? Currently I sometimes end up in a situation where if I need to talk to an NPC (like to give equipment to a settler or talk to a quest NPC) I first need to either beg or prostitute myself, be either rejected or taken and then I can talk to them for whatever it is I needed. This means I will have to toggle the mod off if I am just trying to get something done quickly before turning it back on again. I don't know how feasible this solution is since I don't know how the conversation system works in Fallout 4.

I don't know how feasible this solution is since I don't know how the conversation system works in Fallout 4. You don't need to toggle the entire mod on and off, you can just use the beggar/whore mode toggle hotkey or favorite item (I use the latter since I prefer game controllers which severely limits the number of hotkeys I can conveniently map). I usually leave BW mode off and only engage it temporarily if I want to beg or whore. Hardship's other functions continue to operate normally, the toggle is really just for picking which dialogue to use. The conversation model in FO4 relies on assigning dialogue "priorities" so the BW dialogue has a higher priority than most vanilla non-quest dialogues causing it to preempt usual NPC conversations. The provided toggles are a lightweight way of basically un-shadowing normal dialogue to make it available when desired. While I believe it's possible to have a hotkey initiate a special dialogue with a targeted NPC, that would probably be a significant alteration to how this mod is currently implemented. 1

I have it set to a hotkey for this. But that is still toggling the mod off so the functionalities of it won't proc unless I toggle it back on again. And I am very forgetful. But I see what you mean.
asdasd333 Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 (edited) Evening fellas, i have a bit of a problem, hardship mod doesn't see/play any animations other than Leito i believe, they work and are installed, for instance i can start them with manual AAF home button and other mods like dangerous nights and harassment play these animations without any issue. Maybe offtopic or idk if thats related but AAF doesn't appear in MCM, that is my first mod list for FO4 so i wasn't even sure that base AAF should have its own MCM, by base AAF i mean not the one with themes. Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Edited April 23, 2022 by asdasd333

Make sure you installed Hardship after installing those animation packs so the appropriate XMLs get installed. Beyond that I dunno. Edited April 23, 2022 by Tentacus 1

asdfer1234 Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Not inherently related to this mod, but,, I want to play this mod in a new worldspace, a new land, new setting-type place. Had my fill of the Commonwealth, and would like a new location to use especially with this mod. Any recommendation on a mod like that? That works nicely with this mod? A new place full of plenty of (pervy) raides, gunners, etc?

Theres a mod that was featured on Nexus yesterday about an entirely new worldspace featuring Manhattan, but its still very much a work in progress. But unless the mod author of any mod like that actually makes the raiders there work like the raiders in the commonwealth, you may not get menacing raiders. SKK Combat Stalker mod for instance seems to use a unique faction mod for raiders it introduces that Hardship does not recognize. 1
Olmech Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 For those who may want to know, if you have your eye on that one NPC that would make the perfect bad boyfriend, you know... Pastor Clements. But he just simply wants to be a nice guy.... Click on npc while in console then type addkeyword _T_BadDaddy. I now have a bunch of bad boyfriend groupies. 1

IIRC he's one of the NPCs that won't ever rape you, but will always say yes the first time (Nasty bugger). Could be wrong though.
Slorm Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 (edited) @Tentacus This'll cheer you up (and all modders using fuz sound files), someone has finally found a fix for F4z Ro D-oh. Second post down in the link https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/39848?tab=posts I've downloaded it and checked locally with Malwarebytes and Bitdefender and it comes up clean, but to be sure I also checked it on Virustotal which gave it a clean 0/60 score (I get paranoid about files from sources like mega.nz unless I know the author). Basically just replace the dll in plugins, turn off subtitles (general and dialog) remove all the mod folders from data/sound/voice except for the F4z ones and off you go. I've tested it so far with Hardship, Problems of Survivor, Violate and Family Planning Enhanced and all seem to be working correctly so far. I'll do some further testing but so far it's looking extremely encouraging EDIT: Tested Sexual Harassment which works as well Edited May 3, 2022 by Slorm added text 1

It will let me get rid of all the silent files in my mods. And more importantly it will make it a lot easier to incorporate real voice files like the ones @Lestat_Rhodes is making for various mods. Right now it's a pain having sound files for specific voice types AND ones for a catch-all voice type. With a properly working F4z Ro D-oh you don't need a catch-all at all. So to speak. Ugh. 1

(Hopefully I'll work up the energy to finish testing and release those one of these days) and not having to worry about the voice stuff at all is pretty liberating.
