If I were to make (more or less) identical twin followers, what would you want?

As I'm wrapping up my first follower mod I was thinking of going the next logical step, doing two followers in one mod. If I were to do such a thing I would want them to be identical twins. I think I can live with any of the choices listed here so I thought I would throw it out as a poll and see if there were strong feelings about what the community might want in twins.

Two male Orc brothers that constantly argue and fight. One is a half-breed with some skill in magic and the other is a hunter (not twins). You find them separately in the wilderness somewhere and start a little quest to find the other and settle a blood feud between them and another clan of orcs that has been going on forever and to recoverĀ a family *insert item here*Ā that had been stolen. The half-orc is gay or bi and the other is a straight up womanizer. Modded hair on both I guess.Ā :classic_tongue:

Aside from the fact you're trying to bypass Psalam's stated intent, there is no such thing as a half-orc in Elder Scrolls.

I know his intent and I didn't try to "bypass" anything. I just stated an opinion of what I would like to see. And why aren't there half-orcs?

The options that need a word or two:

gender: I would have preferred male+female => had picked male, but you need to shift that

type: no fighter at all - or lousy ones. Get them useful jobs ... healer, alchemist, miners, hunter with traps whatever. But make them do those useful things for the player. :classic_laugh:

In vanilla, literally any idiot can become a master smith. But for my taste this skill - and all others - can't be learned in a few days, while I am busy killing dragons at the same time. :classic_unsure: => that's what you need friends (followers) for

seperated locations = dungeon, a bit of background and a quest to reunite them maybe :classic_wink:

2 Females they can be brenton/imperial/nord or red guard one is a mage the other is a arrow flinger. You meet them separately one in the wilderness as they are searching for their other twin who was taken from them when they were both attacked by some unknown turds and they are in the process of finding out where they took her sister.

When they meet you they think you are one of them and starts to attack you and youĀ defend yourself till you win and when you don't kill them they will see that you are in fact not one of them and they say they are sorry for attacking you and will askĀ you for your help in getting her sister back.The other twin will be in a dungeon awaiting some ritual or something. They can use KS harido or apachii or both.

I like that idea, except for the not twins.Ā  I like the twin idea.Ā  For half-orc (or deformed) could use the human mouth with the orc textures, or modify the teeth to reduce the fangs. (hmmm, I'll have to try that and see how the facial morphs look.Ā  I hate the fangs.)

Back-story could be that they were ostracized because the fangs didn't grow in (sign of manhood) and had the "family item" stolen because they were misfits.

Find the first bro in an early dungeon with a series of quest to find the twin and then the item.

Not to ruin anyone's plans but what is different about my current follower is consensual sex. As you cast your votes you may want to ask yourself if the character(s) for whom you're voting would be of interest (in that way) to you.

I'm not ready to close the poll by any means. As things stand right now the twins would be Redguard females (if so, you can expect that they are likely to be relatively light-skinned females for Redguards). One would be an archer, the other a two-handed fighter. I would expect that the PC would meet one near a dungeon. She would say that she was attacked by "bad guys" (depends on what dungeon I pick) and left for dead. She asks for the PC's assistance in rescuing her twin sister. I would expect the one outside to be the archer while the one in the dungeon would be the two-handed fighter.

While I would not presume to tell you what to do with your time, I would make the observation that there are damnably few quality male followers out there.Ā  The ratio is around 50 to 1 in favor of females already.

Maybe something to consider, maybe not.

It's certainly true. It's equally true that there are few lavender cars on the road. It tends to be what "the market" will bear. That being said, I might consider a male follower after the twins if I can think of a really good "twist" to put on him. In the meantime, I need to post a thread and get some help on an animal follower I'm working on while I'm waiting for the poll here to close. I may also try doing the Serana follower mod according to some info I found online. Since I have no clue what I'm doing to accomplish that one, it will have to wait though.

Thanks, I would greatly appreciate the help. I just posted the thread under Skyrim Technical. If you have a "hook" for a male follower I would certainly consider that as well.

It is a fact I have not one male follower in my vast library of followers ..... save for Indigo but I have not used him in a long while.

Altmer or Bosmer.

There's damned near none in base skyrim, Fandal but he's a citizen so damned near useless, and that lass in Dawnguard that I never remember to go back for, Altmer were utterly shafted entirely with follower numbers :/

I am not prepared to close the poll early (although there has been only a little activity this week). As of right now (with about a week remaining) it appears that the twins will be Imperials. Dahlia will be an archer and Danielle will be a two-handed melee fighter. They will have some version of KS hair (TBD). They will be found together in one of the last two parts ofĀ Silent Moons Camp (where there are no outlaws (probably the interior one). Like Cynthia they will likely have no inventory (making inventory control easier).

The poll is now closed. I want to thank everyone who participated. While some things went just as I expected (females 3:1), others did not (I wouldn't have guessed Imperials). None the less, I hope to have a version of this as a mod out soon.
