Here's the first publically available release of Lovers Creatures 2.5 - the 2.5 alpha 4, or 2.5.4 according to the new versioning scheme. Later versions will probably come without the alpha/beta tag, just 2.5.5 or something, though it doesn't necessarily mean they are out of the alpha/beta stages. Also, later uploads will only contain the plugins and ini's because of the big size.

I know too frequent update can tire you. You're on the cutting edge, but that doesn't mean you have to be on the bleeding edge. I try to update small and often because I want to break less things. If you feel that updates are too fast, just look up the change log below and skip if it doesn't fix your problem. That's what the change log is for. You can always revisit later and leap up to one of the later versions.

  is suspected to cause the ``GetCreatureTypeEx`` function to return a wrong
  ``sPos`` value when the creature doesn't have any receptive animation.
* Enabling debug prints the |LC|' version during initialization.

What's new in general:

 

 

Not only Lovers Creatures is being updated, its documentation is being revised as well. To get some input, I even uploaded a documentation-only package. This is included in the main file, but just for your convenience. If you want the source and the build script, they can be found in the main package's --dev something folder. The build instruction itself can be found in the docs.

Under most circumstances, the textures do not change.  That is because the textures are the basic colorized skins that go overtop of the wireframe mesh model or nif. 

 

It is the nif models that change, or are added/removed from the creatures in order to define whether the creature is male or female.  In some cases, merely a pair of balls are needed to make an originally neutered creature to be shown male while removal makes it appear female.  In others, a full body replacement is required, such as between buxomy female Minotaurs or Ogres vs their mutch male counterparts.  And in those cases, those counterparts 'do' tend to have custom textures to accompany their respected models. That alone would be the instance of having different textures.  But the nif models govern that aspect.

 

Think of it as sticking different parts in a Mr/Mrs Potatohead to change its looks. :P  We're sticking different nifs into an animal to give it a pair.

The package linked there in the 250th post of this thread has a 'complete' package, one that does not require LoversCreatures 2.0 to be installed.  Standalone, it requires nothing but ... well...   Oblivion and Lovers with PK.  Just note that it does have its own versions of the Lovers Animation esps that replace the originals that come with LAPF.  So when it asks if you want to over-right the originals, go for it. 

 

And pay attention to the load order:

A more comprehensive load order can be found by clicking the yellow link in my signature.  Trust me on this, the actual order in which you organize your Mods when they load can greatly affect your game.  Some will overright others and make them useless. Others will cause errors of ... hilarious ... proportions.

From there, I verified my LC25 esps and Sound download as having all esms, esps, INI files and documentation... and a LoversAnimObjectsPriority.bsa file.  Still, this is part as the 250th post I made also has meshes, textures and other related download attachments.

I redowloaded from your link, but now the game is telling me that IdleAnims needs to be further down in my Load Order even after I throw it to the bottom.  Is that a problem or can I ignore it?

This is extremely strange.  And insofar as LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp, the LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp is actually last.

 

In essence, the very basic load order would be as such:

Oblivion.esm

(whatever other .esm files)
LoversCreature.esm   ... LoversCreature always being the last in the order

 

Your basic esps (Shivering Isles, Knights, whatever)

Lovers with PK.esp

LoversCreature.esp

(most other Lovers mods here)

LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp

LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp

( = No Other Lovers Mods Follow = )

 

Given your response, I am worried that you may have something wrong with your setup. OR that you did not replace all LoversCreatures content with all of the new material in post 250, the meshes, textures and so forth.

 

For further suggestions on mod order, the arrangement, please consult the topic you will find by clicking the yellow link in my signature.  It's the same as Fejeena's, and the recommended mod order therein is quite helpful

happen to me first time I try install lovers also error massage about lovers backup ... Not sure how did I fix that but as far I remember I reinstall Oblivion with exact steps 

 

 

 

And I replace Pluggy version 132  with version 125-C + never use a mod with manual replace I always Use OBMM to create omod and use archive invalidate also before create omod mods must be unzip in folder, zip files not work good with OBMM ... After that all work fine.

Sorry if this is an already answered q but, I'm unable to cast any of the spells even on a new character? They just don't do anything after casting. Don't know if it's an issue with hotkeys or my installation/load order? I can post if need be. I've the very latest OBSE 22 from github and followed the installation guide.

Thanks for the link. And my apologies, the issue was SMO/Supreme overhaul mod.. which baffles me cus it's so new. I've gotten away with installing so many mods and playing with little to no issues even with boss + userlist set up yet that one mod stopped ALL my spells working? Oh well, don't need it. Can't wait to properly use lovers now, thanks again for the quick reply♥

I've had a problem with the game and since I use LoversCreatures 2.5, before the only problem i found was the tribal goblins only floating with no legs...but now i found a dog with only a face and a dick so please if there is a way to fix it? cause i don't know how to fix it and I'm about just fill in the blanks with my imagination

I can give U an advice ( use oblivion mod manager ) for install all mod by create omod file & never use copy &  paste to your data folder ( unless its a single esp or bsa files )  paste mod mesh & texture folder in your game data make it very very hard to uninstall if mods conflict or working wrong, U should do that even with lovers skeleton & also don't forget SkyBSA.

If U use what I said before U can fix your game by following step, If not u can run in circles try to figure what's going on & the following steps won't help.

1- disable all modes that is control or modify creatures vanilla or lovers  like ( lover creatures, lovers bitch gonna wild, bravil underground,

Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul, Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul .........  )  then run the game by obse see if its go OK without CTD or missing master file better test in this step with new game .... then check sex with npc & see if creatures in cave or game appear Right.

2- active lovers creatures and test again, then active other lovers mod that need creatures one by one and test for each one  ( overwrite if asked except if u use lovers bitch gonna wild don't let other mods overwrite its files )

3- begin to active other non lovers mods like OOO & be carefull to not overwrite lovers files like skeleton & if u do that by mistake disable the mod that overwritten in OBMM and activate it again.

 

--- BTW The disable or enable mod in OBMM  not by unchecked esp name in left side but by clicking the omod names in right side.
