In that particular case, the content is supposed to be coming from mod\Lustful Void\common\traits\lv_leader_traits_scientist.txt

Try checking that it's present and has leader_trait_scientist_lv_sexologist = { present?

Well this is weird. There its all there:

leader_trait_scientist_lv_sexologist = {
    cost = 1
    icon = "gfx/interface/icons/traits/leader_traits/leader_trait_lv_sexologist.dds"
    custom_tooltip = leader_trait_scientist_lv_sexologist_effect

    leader_potential_add = {
        OR = {
            NOT = { owner = { has_authority = auth_machine_intelligence } }
            from = { has_trait = "trait_lv_sex_bots" }
        }

    modifier = {
        # Very thorough

        # Tries to find a sexual use first
        category_biology_research_speed_mult = 0.15
        category_materials_research_speed_mult = 0.1
        category_industry_research_speed_mult = 0.1
    }

    leader_trait = { scientist }
    leader_class = { scientist }

    ai_categories = {

}

Hey, so im having a small problem with the mod, its not allowing me to remove any of the lustful positive traits even though i have fully unlocked the gene ascensions and got genetic re-sequencing. this is kinda annoying as all of my traits picks are filled and i cant grab the super traits.

Hmmm.  I didn't have that problem.  What other mods do you have installed?

Hey so i am unsure where to ask but i was hoping someone here might know the mod i remember using but can't remember the name of i remember that the was a mod that added a civic for my empires that allowed me to have a sex police for lack of a better word and the civic as said replaced the enforcers that the Precinct Houses use with a sex version of it can anyone here tell me what is was?

I think what you're looking for is the civic "Lupanarian State" from the mod All You Need Is Love (AYNIL).

It enslaves 30% of your population, and adds several extra jobs.  I think the one you're thinking of is the "Valide" job which reduces both crime and the political power of slaves.

AYNIL is no longer supported, although there is an unofficial update for it here

Just be aware that trying to use this now requires effort.  Lupanarian State is *very broken* and requires a lot of work to tweak back into something usable.  I take a run at it every now and then, but I haven't managed to get it into what I would consider a working state yet.  I mostly use the mod for the alternative trade policies that let you just focus on building up gigantic sex empires.  It is not balanced at all.

The city appearance image of Sexopolis seems to be wrong. Perhaps the image of the surface does not exist. This is why the planet is flat and painted black.
Sorry for my poor English. I used a translation tool.

Hello, if anyone could help me, it would be very much appreciated. I'm having trouble getting the mod to show up on the launcher, I have 3.5 and the portraits, and no other mods. Am I missing anything? Thank you.

You don't have the .mod files present, so it doesn't know what to do with the folders. See attached:

Screenshot 2022-11-13 021009.png

The !archive and !working directories are extras of my own making. I keep the archives I download there in case I need to fix something I've mangled, and !working is where I initially unpack stuff to install it. Neither is needed for things to work, it's just convenient.

(Yes, the two loading screen mods conflict. Only one is active at a time, but I switch 'em on a whim.)

You need to add the mod to the playset aswell. You do that by pressing the big button taht says "add mods".

I have a question about some of the custom jobs created by the custom buildings from this mod. Most notably the brothel and the comfort zone. Is either of those jobs marking the citizens working on them as specialists? I am asking because in the last game i played, my economy was trashed by nearly all of my workers on my homeworld deciding that they are specialists now, and refusing to work in lower level jobs. I was waiting for them to decide that being a worker is better as being an unemployed specialist, but instead of their number shrinking, it grew over time until nobody was willing to work.

I am assuming the sex jobs have something to do with it, because this only happened on worlds where i was using brothels and comfort zones.

I have this problem occasionally. I found that a temporary workaround is to 'favorite' some jobs until eventually they realize they can take lower jobs. It's annoying but it works.

I ran into a very specific yet very nasty combo with Lustful Void and Gigatructural Engineering. I was doing the Birch World origin, which starts you out with 2 very powerful districts. The problem is, I got the random event of having tentacle beasts spawn on a world. This was so early, the Birch was my only one. the -2 districts effect then destroyed the Birch districts, removing about 97% of my economy and all my housing (the districts were covering that). I tried waiting it out, getting the tentacle removal research, only to discover that the districts would have to be rebuilt, and that like ringworlds, the district costs are not early game friendly to rebuild.

Ultimately I had to reload a save, wait for the tentacle event to trigger, then console command to remove the blocker/deposit before it killed the districts.

I highly recommend that this mod implement some sort of check for, I don't know, non-built districts availability? Basically, if there's 2 or less districts available, and getting the blocker would kill built districts, have the event look for a new target planet.

Just my two-cents.  Like I said, super specific combo, most small planets have more than 2 districts size at start.

Is anyone else able to get the Liquid Processor decision to appear after doing the research? Because I haven't been able to find it on any planet, ever, aside from the automatic one that comes with a Pleasure Ringworld section. Wondering if it's broken, I have a mod conflict, or if there are underlying conditions I'm just failing to meet in order to be able to create one.

I think they can only be built on Sexopolis worlds.

OK, they can show up on any world with district_lv_sworld_sexology or district_lv_sringworld_sexology districts, which basically means sex worlds, tentacle words, or ringworlds of the same.

I've got the same problem.

Checked all 3 of those and I've got nothing under decisions or buildings. I'm also running Calcifire's Portrait Pack don't know if that affects anything.

I'm afraid I'm having my own little bug. All the LV species traits are showing up in the species editor twice, in two separate sections. I'd show both sections, but rather obviously that would be redundant, so I'm attaching my modlist and load order, the lewd robots one is disabled for now due to it removing the Toxoids and their traits if I actually use it. Help is appreciated, but if anyone else has this bug I will let you know if I resolve it, and what steps I take.

Have you tried to delete the LV folder and then add it again? Looks to me you added a second version which slightly different files.

What sections are there in species editor?

@Lithia<3

I have found a bug!

As a Machine Intelligence, if you somehow end up with the All Female or All Male events, and likely several others I did not check, you end up with an extraneous Breeder job instead of a Breeder Drone. If I'm reading right, there's already logic in place to handle it correctly for a Hive Mind, but Machine Intelligence is not handled.

Edit: Attached is my attempt at patching the file. I've no idea if it worked, but it doesn't seem to have crashed the game. So that's a plus.

lv_event_mods.txt

Edit 2: It appears that it's working. I integrated a vassal which gave me additional worlds with All Male and Blood Parasite, and all of them are giving Drones now. It even fixed all of my existing worlds, eventually. So. Op Success, I suppose.

Good mod, but there are questions.
The absolute imbalance of the economy - is it so conceived by the developer and will not change, or is it a temporary flaw in the balance? (Personally, I redo the balance for myself, but I'm just interested in the answer)
Prostitution and others provide too much trade value and unity, resulting in an overabundance of energy and consumer goods, complete uselessness of energy districts, and a decrease in the value of mining minerals and producing goods. Which completely kills the economic component of the game, and reduces interest in the game. Is that how it should be? In addition, an overabundance of unity allows you to include any edicts in any quantities, which also reduces interest. There is no problem of thinking and choosing YOUR solution, everything becomes too easy, and this is the surest way to lose interest.

A real prostitute does not produce anything, she only transfers money from one pocket to another. And without conditional oil wells, uranium and nuclear reactors in the country, shifting money from pocket to pocket will not make the economy work and spaceships fly. (Unfortunately there is no money in this game).
Therefore, I personally redo the balance for myself. Submit for discussion
I think it makes sense to greatly reduce the base trade value of prostitution from 10 to (for example) 2 or even less. But introduce a new block of code for (has_policy_flag = lv_prostitution_industrialized) which adds 4 for example.
Thus, with (lv_prostitution_supported) the state follows a socialist-like path, giving citizens the opportunity to meet their needs at the expense of the budget (the work of prostitutes is paid for by the state, which does not have a large income from this).  In doing so, I slightly increased happiness and resource production, which is realistic. (for prohibition of prostitution increase by 10%, for supported 5%)
 All money is in capitalistic "prostitution_industrialized" which is completely realistic and playable. But there should not be a big coming of unity, which is obvious.
So choosing a prostitution policy will be a real choice. Or almost incomeless (but increasing stability, labor activity and unity) socialism-like path, or a large income of the capitalist sex industry, but without stability and unity.

I think that comfort workers should not have food production (why is it there?), and cows need to reduce production (or increase content).
(I wouldn’t use them at all if they didn’t become uncontested in new versions of the mod.)
Breeders should not produce food. (cannibalism or what?)

Also introduce a "psy-slut army" for those races who play through psionics.

Also, due to the overabundance of unity, it makes sense to increase the cost of edicts many times over (not tested yet, but I think about 10). The choice of a decree must be conscious, and not a stupid inclusion of everything in a row.

Mate, if you're looking for balance in silly sex mods, you're barking up the wrong tree.

Even the base game of Stellaris isn't that balanced.

Just finished a campaign with this for the first time. It was pretty good. A fair amount of modularity and choice about what gets into your game. Which is good. There are a lot of flavorful options for customizing your civilization and how far you want to lean into the sexual aspects of the mod's content. I wanted a little bit of sexy sci fi and sexuality added into my game, and it allowed me to do that without having to jump into the deep end and stay there.

Some of the Traits are really powerful. The mod also has technologies that give out huge amounts of Trait Points, but your Trait picks remain the same. Read there is a rework planned for the Traits aspect of the mod. Sounds like a good idea. There are a lot of flavorful Traits though, and the idea of having Trait Synergies is pretty neat.

The job/buildings seem fairly powerful as well. I only used the Comfort Worker building, but that took care of all my Amenity needs. Though I was also running Robots with the Domestic Servant Trait, which likely helped too. I didn't get into the Megastructures, but it is nice to have some sexy options there, as well as the Tradition and Ascension Perk.

There are some issues with some of the events missing empire names. Specifically, the ones relating to prostitution. I couldn't tell whose prostitutes were making my people happy. Tentacle Creature planet modifiers, from the event where they sneak onto your planet from off world, stick around even after you remove the tile blocker. Not sure if that is intended, but it'd be nice to be able to get rid of them. I'm not keen on my people getting raped.

All in all, playing with Lustful Void was a fun experience. I'll likely continue to use it too. Thank you for sharing the mod.

Name at least one reasonable reason why "silly sex mod" fundamentally should not have a balance. )))
Do "silly sex mod" and "balance" have irresolvable contradictions for you? Why?
And if you see only the sexual component in the game mod, then you better go watch porn. You don't need this game. :)
