The mod Dibella Sisterhood/The Sisterhood of Dibella seems to have a new update (of the conversion to SE), v.2022-01-31). Has anyone tested it yet? Is it time to change the links in the guide?

Check that you got the right version for your game.

I did get the version for SE, but do I need to update my version of Skyrim to a newer one?  I disabled auto updating for Skyrim when I last modded it 2 years ago, so I'm not sure what update version I'm on.  I could update it and roll back to the one right before AE, but that would be annoying to have to do...

Update, managed to solve it.  Looked at the bugs tab on Animation Motion Revolution and saw someone else had the same issue.  They fixed it by updating SKSE to 2.0.20 and it worked for them.  Now I coulda swore I updated mine before I started working on the list, but I redid it anyway, and now it works.  So for any others out there having the same issue, that's what worked for me.  Thanks again!

I know I installed something that speeds up system notifications and I'm not sure which mod it is. Anyone know which one does this I cant find it for the life of me lol. It's kind of too fast and I miss something like quest rewards and other notifications on the top left.

Came back from a long break and forgot that my player character wasn't animating in sexlab, and after the other actors finished their animations she'd just be frozen. I updated sexlab and it fixed the issue in a new game but the old one is toast. I last updated mods in April but it looks like some MAJOR overhauls have happened since then-- I don't want to lose my player character preset or my enb settings, but I'm seriously considering a clean install and starting over completely fresh. Any opinions on updating vs starting over if i'm doing a new save anyway?

Edit: nevermind i just got a look at the changes in the Foundation category and got my answer. So long, old setup! Here's to a week of installing. Any tips on saving my character preset and enb settings, as well as setting up a clean Steam install on 1.5.97 appreciated.

Soooo... slight bump in the journey here.  Realistic Natural Skin Tones got turned to hidden by the mod author just 3 days ago, so what now?  Should I just skip it?

Update: Seems like ESL High Poly Pretty Face Brows is in the same boat, since it's the same mod author.  Looks like Ashes2Asherz has turned all their mods to hidden...

I'm just skipping them for now, don't know how important they are.  If anyone can find an alternative path to them, or just straight alternatives, I'll get them then.  Thanks!

Yeah, PROTEUS could help you save your character. I played briefly with an earlier version and it was pretty cool. I have not tried the latest version yet. It needs a new save game if you had used the earlier versions. The mod author seems fairly supportive, but they seem to totally redo the mod occasionally. Latest version is finally getting popular so maybe it is ready now. The mod is quite ambitious.

For Enb settings, I have used ENB and ReShade Manager to manage that stuff. It is pretty simple, but the mods directions are confusing. Instead, look in its comments page. There is a sticky with Oblivionplayer437 explaining it fairly well.

I don't know what to tell you about Steam, though I know it is possible.

That is too bad. They were having quite a bit of success with their mods. I wonder what happened. Hopefully everything is OK.

It's not, you can replace with ANY skin for CBBE you like, the Pretty Face Brows is the same, searching "high poly brows" brought up 6 results on nexus, no telling how many there are in the internet from 9dameo to amlgames, up to you. Since i don't know ashes i do not know what their posting policy is on just putting the file up here on this post, but I can send it to you by PM if you wish.

Any opinions about this older rug mod - RUGNAROK - Special Edition? Either in general or specifically with this guide?

Thanks!

I don't see a problem with it, it's one of the areas i think aylis skipped over as most of the redone interiors should have covered shit like rugs.

@jaeos I went ahead and installed it. I haven't looked at it in game yet, but looking at the Conflicts tab in MO2 the conflicts mostly seem to come from the Pfuscher 2018 and 2020 mods, though also some CleverCharff mods. Most of the files by far do not conflict. Rugnarok was very popular and claims to have a large variety of rugs. I will comment more when RL lets me go in and look at them.

Thanks as always, jaeos!

Many thanks wollboi for the posting of those two, sad to see good mods vanishing.  Also thanks to jaeos for the alternate suggestions.  Might branch out from this list at some point in life, but for now, this one works great in my eyes!

@wollboi @Aylis  asherz mods are now being hosted on schaken's site

And whenever a link from there is used a moderator has to unlock the parts that include them. So those are not an option...

I have noticed that Skyrim 2020 by Pfuscher also offers a terrain parallax texture mod. As we do not install the Skyrim 2020 Landscape mod part, I guess it doesn't make sense to use his parallax textures mod, right?

But which mod out of Aylis' great mod list offers terrain parallax?

I have that question as well since the xLOD is no longer used I feel like my terrain seems a bit lacking compared to objects. I'm not sure if I missed something.

Does anyone have some insights into this terrain parallax thing?

Hi All

Firstly, love this guide!  I bought a new PC last year and hoped to get back into Skyrim which I used to pour hundreds of hours into back in the day - but found the new modding ways and SE update ruining many old mods far too confusing.  Having stumbled on this, Ive finally (nearly) managed to get Skyrim back up and running in all its modded glory.

I already had Fallout 4 setup with Vortex, so spent a full week following this guide using Vortex instead of MO2 - it all seemed to work fine, but there was some textures missing in landscapes and file saves would often corrupt so decided to scrap it all and start all over again using MO2!  Which Ive not used before so had to watch several of Gophers youtube videos.

So I am almost there now, I've all the mods installed - noticed a few mistakes Id made first time around - have them all loaded in MO2, have moved the esms up, have just reached the final stages for DynDolod which I was tempted to just leave out as didnt really understand it first time around.

Firstly, the program looks different to your screenshots - TextGen has the Tree/Grass LOD part missing that is in your screenshot. Does this affect anything?

image.png.cfad81bfc2a4e473ebd78939b2dd35a7.png

Now was going to ask about DynDOLOD but have finally got there (so I thought), Ive ran TextGen and DynDOLOD, applied the files generated as MODs and done the FNIS and Nemesis after some troubles.

There was 1 Mod causing a CTD which had DynDOLOD Lods, but have gone back and worked out the problem. I now wanted to run TextGen and DynDOLOD again so have removed the mods, and cleared out the output folders.  But, now get an error when I try to rerun ...

I've tracked down the file to Wizkids Parallax Imperial Forts - but can't see the issue.  THe file is there, the output folder is there but it errors saying it cannot copy it?

Nevermind!  Closed everything down, rebooted, tried again and its working!

Reinstalling modlist (updating, adding new, remove some etc) mine was like 3.2.0, could be lower. Questions and findins so far:

1) rudy enb - updated? Two main files, which one?
  a) Rudy ENB Cathedral Weathers ADDONS and REQUiRED Files FOMOD
  b) Rudy ENB SE for Cathedral Weathers

2) Wintersun - USSEP Patch
In file description: NO LONGER SUPPORTED
In comments
The USSEP patch consistently causes a CTD on loading a save, not sure if it's just out of date or what, but if you install these and can't load the game anymore, try removing that one

3) File: "SC - KS Hairdos Retextured - Grayscale - Physics", is it required "SC - KS Hairdos Retextured - Grayscale" for it? is it ok to use?

4) Window Shadows - seems like there is new fomod?

5)
Rudy ENB Cathedral Weathers required files Part I - in old files
Rudy ENB Cathedral Weathers required files Part II - no longer in downloads, is it archived?

6) Do I need LipSync Fix for SexLabFrameworkSE_v163?

7) ZAZ 8.0 CBBE SE Rev2 - Patched. Do I need this for Rev 3?

8. High Poly NPC Overhaul - Guard Armor Replacer Patch
"This patch is for HPNPC Overhaul 2.0 only." Just to be sure it only for 2.0 or 2.x?

9) lilebonymace's patches
"REMOVE 'ISC USSEP Patch.esp' as it is NOT needed!". I have not this esp

10) Footprints - ENB
It is no longer "enb square test alpha test test file"

11) CBBE 3BBB - SL Triggers compatible patch
In description stated:
"It was merged into CBBE 3BBB mod page because Ousnius gave me permission to upload 3BA body to Nexus. Therefore major updates are terminated."
I cannot find this patch in CBBE 3BBB mod page, so I assume that it is in main file now, isn't it?

12) Water for ENB - it have some Pathces for ex Atlas Map Markers and Clear water, is it all patches that I need?

13) I have TexGen_Output from previous version, is it no longer needed?

Potentially interesting utility that might help in testing out incompatibilities between mods.  Modmapper - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/63529 which apparently generates a map of what areas are affected by what mods.

Critterman, Modmapper's author, "... downloaded every SE mod from Nexus Mods, extracted the plugins, and recorded the cell edits in every plugin. Then, used the UESP skyrim map tiles to display all of the edits as a heatmap."

I asked him yesterday if it was possible to detect the installed mods like some mods do?  He said that that functionality ".. can't really be replicated on a website" like Modmapper.  He is working on a feature to Allow uploading modlist or Skyrim Data folder to see mod cell edits together with conflicts on the map.  If that can be worked out, then this can be a very useful utility.

I'm wondering "How often Modmapper.com will be updated?".   I suggested to Critterman that he may want to add automatic updating of the map to his To-Do list.
