You will need to post your latest Papyrus log file which is " Papyrus.0.log ", as Papyrus.1 - 2 - 3 are the old ones. Check the date on the file ?

what exactly are the minimum requirements to have AAF running?

on the nexus page it says Looks Menu and the Script Extender

 

i'm guessing there needs to be more than that, currently i don't even get any text on the screen, it's as if it's not even active.

I am having exactly the same problem.  I've tried reloading, unloading, fixing errors as recommended, but this still occurs.  It went away earlier with AAF ver 49b but came back and now I think 49b is broken.

I get the same message with 73b and other earlier versions.  F4SE is up to date.  Thanks, I'll give the Debug a try.  At one point it was working until I did some updates.  UPDATE:  I changed Debug Mode to true and it didn't show any info about AAF on the screen.

I hate up dating especially when I've a good load order.

I know... I haven't played in a while because of the screen... everything was working okay until that update.  I don't even remember everything that updated, but there was a FO4 and F4SE update so everything changed and the messages started.  What is API Debug?

Application Programming Interface, it's the ??? bit between the game engine and the code( script's ),  I would say. Still turn it on the more info the better.

oh sorry, people have always been asking for the Papyrus 3 log instead of the other ones.

could you post your load order as well sorry i should of asked for that earlier.  How many mods do you have installed? if you have 250+ mods that could also cause a problem like this.

I just keep fixing and fixing and fixing, and I solved a lot of problems but here's the latest papyrus log

idk what to fix anymore. Just saying BCF FPA and veronykah VSD idk wtf that is, and DLC05 (workshop) script fked up and stuff, idk...

i think i may have found my problem!!!! almost everytime this happened was using the ESP EXPLORER wich has a preset key as F11... in AFF in the settings ini i see that "quickscene" is for F11 too and by the name i beleave it must set a scene with the nearest npc

It scans the area and tries to start a scene, yes. I've used it a couple times.

Although my own ESP Explorer install must either be non-functional or the shortcut's overwritten by my AAF install, as it's caused me no issues.

it was 2 mods using the same key. when because it only trigger random sex exactly when i was using esp explorer. i discovered that while i was in the AFF Settings.ini switching on the debug mode and decided to check the keybinding section and saw QUICKSCENE at F11, same key i use as default to open the esp explorer menu

I tried to post here before but it doesn't look like it went through. I can't seem to get AAF to work at all. I went through the install for the Nexus mod manager, I tried doing it manually, and then I spent a while playing around with .ini files. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Same here. I'm even trying a clean save/install with only AAF, looksmenu, and F4SE with debug mode on and I have no debug window/home key does nothing.

 

I've reinstalled all 3, edited the .inis and have the most recent version of all of them. I'm using MO2.

 

EDIT:

If you're having this issue, make sure you have the Data folder from F4SE. Even though some install guides say you only need the 3 files, you need the contents of the data folder for AAF to work.

I hate piling another turd onto the massive heap of BS that is AAF Troubleshooting, but if anyone has updated Atomic Lust within the last week or so and is getting these AAF [010] Errors, then the only thing I can tell you is to either disable the Atomic Lust plugin or not play FO4 until AAF gets updated.

 

Before anyone asks, I've done extensive troubleshooting to the tune of completely reinstalling, a grand total of five times, AAF and all of the animation mods I had used previously. F4SE and AAF are both up-to-date at version 0.6.16 (F4SE) and Beta 73 (AAF) at the time of this post, my load order follows the AAF install guide precisely with the mods I wanted, and Atomic Lust is enabled in the plugins file.

 

Sorry that my known fix for this issue is to either disable Atomic Lust or wait for an AAF update, but I neither have the time or patience to go more in-depth on this issue and come up with a real solution...

Funny. I have Atomic and Mutated Lust installed. I had some of these issues initially. Including a broken position tree....and, after talking to folks about the same errors, and you know...not couching my discussion as a way to throw shade on AAF, I got a reasonable answer: 

 

Prune old XML files out, things like older XML patches (Riot, Etc) update themes, and re organize my load order a bit in order to accommodate not just the new changes to AAF...but the ongoing changes for Fusion, BT, and the animations currently being worked on. I'd explain more of it to you....but as you have researched the issue extensively....you probably know, right? 

 

How, after all of your extensive troubleshooting you missed the fact that the above error is a matter of one XML overwriting another (which has nothing to do with AAF itself per se) and thus poisoning and breaking the position tree is beyond me. After all, you did extensive troubleshooting. 

 

I'm sure, after your one new post here, you'll be going back to your extensive notes, to see what the issue is.

i have no real issue except since i updated AAF the setup no longer reads my character as present or available for animation. All nearby NPCs seem to be viable but not the main character.  Everything else seems to work, just cant include my main since she is now basically invisible to AAF.

 

lol i have never encountered this before and my load order was working perfectly prior to this. Anyone else ever run into this issue before, sorry still a noob here  i can usually figure stuff out before but this one has me stumped.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated and if its a simple fix i am sorry to be a nuisance

So using the guide by AFF for Beginners doesnt crash anything, using Violate and the like works for making them surrender but when I try to do anything sex related, including masterbation....nothing happens. At all. Just stops like its going to, then nothing.

do you have AAF Sex Em Up installed ?

or  do you have FSE installed correctly?
