Paradise Halls Enhanced (pahe) Special Edition with the customary addons

I had something spectacular and wonderful happen just now.

So I have quite a few mods installed for Skyrim. A HUGE Number. So much so that it was bound to cause a game-breaking bug at some point (~200 mods, 120+ hours in). The bug I ran into was killing an NPC in Cidhna Mine during the "No One Escapes Cidhna Mine" quest.

Every time I tried killing this guy my game crashed. There are different ways to complete this quest that lead to you escaping. I tried several of those ways, and none worked (except for killing Madanach, but I didn't want to end the quest that way).

If you play the quest the vanilla way, you talk to the human guy sitting at the fire who fills you in on what's what, then the orc who tells you to get him a shiv if you want to see Madanach, then you talk to Grisvar the Unlucky who tells you to go get a bottle of skooma from another prisoner. You get the skooma, give it to Grisvar to get the shiv, give the shiv to the orc, and then he unlocks the gate and you talk to Madanach. Madanach fills you in, and then I pick the option that keeps him alive. He asks you to go back and kill Grisvar.

Well, I killed Grisvar after a bunch of different possible ways of completing that quest, but nothing worked... until I "marked" him with PAHE and then "enslaved" him.

Apparently the PAHE script is so good it can fix broken NPCs and do all kinds of shit! When it enslaves a character, it "kills" them but immediately brings them back with all of their kit. Well, PAHE "killed" him; that fulfilled the quest condition without me doing the killing, and I was able to continue and finish the quest after that. One other odd behavior that I noted is that I kidnapped one of the Silver-Blood mercenaries in that same mine but many hours earlier into my game. When it "killed" her it brought her back as a Stormcloack Soldier, armor and all.

Anyways. Suffice it to say this was definitely an unwelcome blessing.

One other thing, too: the "kill" command did NOT work on Grisvar.

Come to find out it was a mod I installed that was problematic. Specifically, this one:

C:\Users\blesc\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrimse\mods\Loot Spillage-108394-1-0-0-1704326973

I noticed it when it stopped dropping loot from enemies while escaping from the mine. It was doing other things, too, like showing the "dwemer lever" item as an ingot. it's definitely not; it's a "junk" item but this mod changed the classificaiton. I realized the game was trying to have this guy dump everything on him, and crashing while doing so.

You can imagine I was pretty damn elated to find out I had fixed a crash bug. Unfortunately, that elation was short-lived, as after I escaped the mine I had to fight guards. I killed one guard, and the game crashed. It was then that I knew the particular mod was the problem, so I uninstalled it and then went back and killed Grisvar the Unlucky with no problem. For clarification's sake, I'm also running Maximum Carnage, so it's possible my root problem was a framerate cap that crashed my game at the moment of the NPC's death; I was using power attacks, and those cause a lot of visual damage with that mod. Suffice it to say I didn't bother to check because I was happy enough to narrowly escape my game being permanently borked.

Sorry for the rant-ish comment. I had a rollercoaster ride of emotions as all of this was going on. Losing 100+ hours worth of work sure would have sucked! Also, I definitely won't be installing more mods anytime soon...

Unless something changed since v 8.1, PAH does no have a the function to make slaves train other slaves. Are you using HSH or DoM for that?

I'm using HSH 1.33b for that, the funny thing is the first 2 or 3 train well and then it stops working.

But how do I intentionally down an enemies when I wish to? Enemies only rarely reach the downed state and it's usually not someone I wanna enslave. At the same time, people I do wanna enslave are still fighting at 1 hp and I'm forced to kill them.

Nevermind! Just figured out I can mark people for enslavement by binding a key.

If you save and load the game after enslaving a bandit, the enslaved bandit will no longer follow you and you will not be able to change his or her clothing at all.

Didn't the auto renamer for this mod, used to skip npc's that already have names? I thought it used to, but had to do a complete reinstall a while back and I noticed that when capturing named npc's it changes their name when enslaving them.

I have this same issue, does anyone know what the problem could be?

Hello. Is there a way to remove the "feed" option when playing as a vampire and talking to slaves? It is honestly kind of a hassle to have to click on the talk button each time.

Hi, I'm using version 8.2.0 fix2. For some reason, I got situations where PAHE opens a dialog to "Enslave captive" with no option to Cancel. This obviously break quests. Also, it has tendencies to enslave Dwemer Spiders and Dwemer Masters, even when they are dead. Could you please fix it? Thanks!

Dumb question: I recently switched to MO2 from NMM, and I can't figure out how to install the compatibility patches for AYGAS and Home Sweet Home. Normally I'd tick the box one for the other, install both, done. But in MO2 the options are greyed out even when I installed both and then tried reinstalling. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Sorry if this has been asked before or if I'm asking in the wrong place.
Edit: nvm, I tried the same thing I already mentioned trying and it worked the second time for unknown reasons.

There was a problem like this:

I enslave a random NPC (In my case, an aggressive vampire wench from Immersive Wenches)

I train a slave with sex and a whip. I bring the level up to 60+ and untie her. I use it as a companion.

Next, I save the game and reload the save. That's all. The Slave no longer functions. It just stands there and does nothing.

She no following, you cannot access the inventory, the name is displayed in the MSM, but there is no information about the slave.

The debug spell shows that my character has 0 slaves.

What can be done about this?

I have version 8.1.6.

But this also happened in version 8.2.0fix2. Rolling back to version 8.1.6 helped

This problem is getting SOO FRUSTRATING. It is quest breaking and I have to reload the damn game when it happens!

Hail, Clifton.

Every captive under PAHE seems to get 100 stats in all skill categories except enchanting, smiting, lockpicking, pickpocketing. Not only it makes slaves overpowered but it also messes up the NPC's if using mods like skill based muscle since everyone becomes muscle mountains. This issue has been for years now even on LE and it's wrecking morph based mods.

For anyone who has problems with slaves that get "lost" or dont react after a reload.  Try restart the mod on first page MCM, Debug (right upper side) "status    started"

That helped me for this problem. Slaves with problems allready might be lost anyway, but new ones will work correct.

Is it normal for this mod to cause bugs with base game dialogue and quests or are there any known mods that could conflict with this one?  my ML is pretty big so it could be an issue on my end.

I can't recruit Annekke because her bandit questline isn't available.

Margret is also supposed to give you a neckless if you save her but that dialogue doesn't play thus I get nothing and Cicero I see is also missing some dialogue. It only happens when I have this mod running. When I don't have it activated or installed everything works.

I currently have PAHE and some related mods installed along with My Home Is Your Home, but I want to install the "2 Plus" updated version of that mod.
(link here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/20227 )

1. Is it compatible?

2. If so, I understand I'll need to uninstall my current version of MHIYH. Do I need to also reinstall PAHE and related mods that have the MHIYH patches installed - removing those patches when I reinstall them - or can I leave them as-is?

The patch for MHIYH is to explicitly disable PAHE slaves from being handled by it. So I would double check what scripts are being overwritten by the patch for PAHE/MHIYH and check that script from MHIYH with the same file from  2 Plus to see if they are the same. If they are, then the patch from PAHE will be compatible with it. If they aren't then you might need to do some script hacking to make them work.

I have used this mod for years and until recently had no really serious problems with it. Gaining respect from slaves was always the most difficult thing to achieve but thanks to HSH I only needed one slave to hit 100 and she could teach others.

But, now it seems almost impossible to get respect past 81 as they either simper or when they make  offensive comments PAHE totally ignores them. This latter I noticed in my previous run but now the mod ignores 99% of smart a*** replies. Today i checked some 20 slaves and only one smart ****comment was noticed by PAHE.

In the past it was possible to reclone the slave and this enabled progression to 100 respect but now this does not seem to work at all  and IF you have DOM installed  with or without the RHS ticked recloning borks PAHE totally with the slave disappearing from the list totally (no newly named replacement) and the infamous 0 health invisible male slave appears on the slave list and cannot be removed by any method thus making it impossible to use.

As PAHE has been stable for some time I am wondering if not only DOM interferes with it but possibly HSH as well but as I have no room to dump HSH temporarily (and drop its slaves into PAHE) I cannot test this right now.

It makes no difference if the slave's submission is 50 or 100 to the gaining of respect or lack thereof ( I just tested this). So now I am uncertain what to do. DOM does have way around this but then it takes over the game to much for my current liking.

Addendum: a little late but I finally managed to get one slave to 100 respect and set her up in HSH as a trainer then 20+ 100respect slaves i had 2 slaves hit 100 sex and they now are all raining up. The method? Recloning only slaves who have -4 SLEN as they hate you already and are more likely to resist,

Do note that recloning can be a disaster WRT slave count and ghost male slaves so always save first. My first successful one this run was recloned twice before she resisted and finally gave my char punishment opportunity.

how do i stop my slaves from thanos snapping themselves out of existence the second i move even close too the cave the player home mod the scarlet is in?

basically i notice an issue the scarlet is dynamic both the cave its in and the ship itself meaning leaving a slave anywhere near there is a good way to lose them permanetly but i do like the ship is there any way for slaves to persist through cell changes?

I have a problem loading this mod in my current Skyrim. I use Skyrim AE on version 1.6.640, is this mod compatible for this version or not?

This mod should be compatible. only mods related to skse pluggins are affected with Skyrim SE/AE variants. I myself use this mod in version 1.6.640 so it's up to you to fix your mods (loading order, compatibility, etc.)
