So far I her face morphs working outside of the esp I use to make it (Ethereal Elves). She has a custom eye texture and some other tweaks I did with custom tint masks to generate her Chargen FaceTint files. I WILL give her a skimpy outfit (UNP) and the obligatory SG hair. Made her a custom class too and she has a full compliment of combat and stealth perks. I'm working on her AI now so she actually has more of a like than just standing around in a tavern performing male drinking animations or playing musical chairs while munching on a loaf of bread. She'll shop, go to temple services, etc. I'll probably upload it so people can not download it, since it won't be a super-cute little elf girl with vanilla AI. Mods would just check in every once and a while to make sure it doesn't get too racial and that no links to the Lab of lovers are posted.

Mainly because it'd be bashing Kendo who is an active advocate of Anti-Nexus activities and mod operations. Also because the mod I'm helping out with is rather popular, they wouldn't want half of it to vanish with the number of downloads it's getting lately. Most I'd get is Dante making some quirky remark about LL and its community again.

Cute face made with ECE or Race Menu? *check* SkyHair or SG Hair? *check* Eye texture everyone else already uses? *check* 'Stand Alone' so she can't wear anything in the game other than what she was packaged with? *check* Vanilla, one dimensional AI? *check* So basically these Nerxucks uploaders spend about an hour from start to upload time using the same tweaked face, same hair, same eyes, same AIs and they get an ass-load of downloads and endorsements for doing practically nothing. What I'm doing won't be much better. So YEAH, make fun of me. SEE? It already started. I'm going to start writing down by criticisms, now so I'll be ready for when you hit that upload button! The thing is for me to duplicate all of the things these follower overhaul mods add or change would take a lot more time than I'm willing to invest. Once I start something like that I want to change the whole game and then I'm on the slippery slope of not playing Skyrim, but modding it like I did for Oblivion, FO3 and New Vegas. Once that happens I no longer enjoy the game and I lose interest quickly. I have an enchanted arrow mod already done. Glow effects on the arrows when they are shot, bypassing CRResistance and magic buffs to make damage-resistant creatures take full damage from the arrows, craftable, etc. As I have them now they are in the game. But that's not good enough; I want a quest associated with getting the technology to craft the arrows...and that would mean modding and scripting and THAT is a total Skyrim buzz-kill for me. I guess I don't get the VA this year.

Where it falls apart is with the AI programs that most come with. The friendship gloves come off the first time i try to sneak attack and they leap up screaming like banshees and toss themselves in front of my arrows. For whatever reason the vast majority of follower mods are packaged as berserk fighters and that's the one play style i care the least for. I'd be perfectly happy to have a follower mod in my load order if there was a real option to make them good sneak attack followers or at the very least skilled archers. Instead, what we get is a "sneak optimized" follower that sneaks until you make the first attack..... then they pull out a dagger and dive in the middle of the fray screaming bloody murder while my player character sits in the corner of the room deciding if they want to shoot the bandits or the follower first. But then again that's not the mod-makers fault, there's no getting around the fact that there is no real good cure for the shitty AI system that most games like Skyrim comes with. A mod-maker can only do so much to make their follower mods think for themselves and even the best script compiler is going to be severely hobbled by the curse known as Papyrus scripting. I don't use follower mods in the end but I wouldn't discourage anyone from making them. Anything that makes a person like their game a little more is a good thing in my book.... even if i struggle to admit it out-loud. Sneak is op as fuck anyways.

Every Time i see a Questmod that had hundreds of Hours of Work put into it buried under the newest wave of shitty Armor-Mashup or "Custom" follower or "HD"-Texture-Pack i feel Sad and incredibly Angry at the same time. Agree, but playing as a sneaky archer is so ridicolously overpowered, potentialy followers are pretty much just walking wheelbarrows to carry the loot anyways.
