Oh it's not slightly changed, it's DRASTICALLY changed...and for the worst.

 

Here's a detail of the vanilla female draugr texture that comes with the Texture Pack;

The detail pics are the same resolution taken form the same coordinates on both textures.  All I did was remove the alpha layer from each texture.  Everyone can see for themselves how much he fucked it up.  HD textures my ass.  Look at the alpha layer artifacts on his texture.  Look at the fucking blur.  He must be friends with BlackBlossom, since this is the kind of shit she makes.  There's no need for 'HD' textures for vanilla clothes and armor in Skyrim.  The goddamned game already has it.

Let's talk about how he tried to make a lore friendly retexture of a vanilla armor that already has one. And since armor retextures don't effect game performance... it's a waste of time trying to be better than Cabal cause it is not happening!

That blurry effect is the result of improper use of the dodge\burn tool that comes with Gimp. They brightened the original image without making any adjustments to the contrast in the tools pulldown menu. It's a newbie mistake, one that i have to admit I've made myself when i was trying to figure out the program myself.

Kendo has a point, if you just want a single high-res vanilla texture you can just remove it yourself and make a mod for it in a less then five minutes.

Of course consider the fact that Nexus caters to the lowest denominator, people who don't have the slightest clue. They don't know or care how modding works they just wan't to click a button and have everything magically happen.  

He probably worked on the texture while it was still in a dds format.  It's a rookie mod that makes real hi-rez textures look like hammered dog shit...and people are downloading.

 

Well man I should release vanilla textures cause they are pimp and have moss on them to boot

No, they look exactly the same as every other shitty follower you and everyone else uploaded.

They'll also act, talk, and fight, like everyone else.

This guy again, with the mod compilation followers.  It looks like the only game utility he knows how to use is ECE or Race Menu.  If they are custom followers then where is the 'custom'?  Eyes from another mod everyone else already has, hair everyone has, shitty follower AI everyone has...in the vanilla fucking game.

And I don't understand the whole 'stand alone' thing.  I'm using the body mod I am BECAUSE that is how I want my characters and NPCs to look.  WHY would anyone want a follower that doesn't use the body mod all the other toons in their game use?  It makes no fucking sense.  The only outfits the stand alones can wear is what was packaged with them.  I mean, why the fuck would I down load clothing for a body mod I DO NOT use for the sake of ONE follower?  A follower with vanilla AI that anyone can make in an hour.

 

I'm going to make a goddamned follower mod!  It will have content I made FROM SCRATCH, use whatever body mod players have installed, and I'll make the faces in the CK or vanilla in-game chargen so they will work with vanilla character cosmetics.  The NPC will have real AI packages when not following the player.   And the mod sure as fuck won't require Dawnguard or Dragonborn.

 

 

And to keep up with the nexus pace, you would probably be under-endorsed.

Well it was kind of like my plan to release a fully voiced sexlab companion but she would have just berated the player and dogged them etc and been a absolute bitch, and while I know that fills a very minute amount of fetishes right there it would have been hilarious

 

Still have no gd idea how to trigger specific animation sets for a specific amount of time from sexlab or that mod would have been done, had the VA and everything.. but it would have been hilarious imo

A fully voiced sexlab companion like that I think the funny part would be seeing how long it took people before they started Fus Ro Dahing the companion off of a cliff.

Yeah... in Japan. It's quite the opposite state side. High pitched squeeky voices are found to be annoying or a satire on little girls. Look at Tara Strong who has a good amount of low base in her voice and good range. She gets work like she owns the industry.

 

I have interesting NPCs, cute personality > cute ECE edit. So I don't use single follower mods except Elly and she isn't exactly cute by my standards.

I really am working on a follower mod.  Germanicus asked for the face of one of the Altmer elf girls I made.  So far I her face morphs working outside of the esp I use to make it (Ethereal Elves).  She has a custom eye texture and some other tweaks I did with custom tint masks to generate her Chargen FaceTint files.  I WILL give her a skimpy outfit (UNP) and the obligatory SG hair.  Made her a custom class too and she has a full compliment of combat and stealth perks.  I'm working on her AI now so she actually has more of a like than just standing around in a tavern performing male drinking animations or playing musical chairs while munching on a loaf of bread.  She'll shop, go to temple services, etc.

 

I'll probably upload it so people can not download it, since it won't be a super-cute little elf girl with vanilla AI.

 

But feel free to make fun of me anyway for uploading a follower mod.  :lol:
