What happens are Windows security updates and new AV definitions, both going in the background, and the first you'll know is when they interfere with something. Which why it's so important to avoid both with proper install location and folder exclusions.

Yeah, I had trouble running DynDOLOD after this latest antivirus update from Windows. Wouldn't let me run it even though I had exceptions set up. I had to delete all exceptions and recreate them, so that might help too.

Interesting. Do you have your mod downloads folder excluded?

 

I'm wondering if a file got tagged while outside an excluded folder and the AV followed it in. As far as I'm aware, most AV will just not perform automatic scanning of excluded folders, but that doesn't mean they won't track already discovered suspicious files in there. It can often be necessary to completely uninstall and reinstall affected mods and tools to clear them.

Yep! My MO2 folder, my Skyrim install folder. Even my DynDOLOD folder and the DynDOLOD and TexGen executables. Deleted them, added them again, and working now. Windows just likes to break itself I think.

Hello everyone, just recently started getting a pop-up "Queue is full, actor denied." Now peeps are no longer being chased by animals. Unsure what's causing it, anyone else had this problem before?

While Aroused Creatures does have a queuing system, it does not have any pop-ups. The most you'll see are notifications, and none of those should mention queues (unless you're in debug mode).

 

Take a look at your other mods as one of them is going to be the source. Maybe it's not even an SL mod? Hard to say.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was doing some digging and it was a automatic slave tats script which was erroring out. Thanks again, love the mod!

I have a problem. My horse sometimes does that thing that it follows me (it shouldn't since am not using  any horse mod), and it does that by coming to my to 0 distance. That means it pushes me around.

Any idea? Did i do something wrong or miss something in the setup?

It's possible the horse is stuck in the force greet package used for silent creature dialogue. This should be cleaned up automatically in the later versions, but it wouldn't surprise me to find it has other ways to glitch out. Make sure you are using the latest version of Aroused Creatures and have removed any patches.

 

Try selecting the horse with N, then go to Aroused Creatures MCM > Help and use the Clean option for the horse. You can also try disabling the creature dialogue option under Dialogue & Interaction, exit the menus, then go back in and re-enable it.

 

I'll take another look at this issue and see if I can add some extra mitigations.

Need help, when a creature chases the player and manages to capture, the PC falls to the ground (ragdol) then when the animation occurs when the stage switch happens the PC appears fallen to the ground (ragdol) while the creature continues animation in the air, can anyone help?

Aroused creatures uses a vanilla stagger animation upon non-consensual capture. If the player is ragdolling instead, then another mod is either altering Aroused Creatures scripts or is doing something with the stagger animation event.

Hi, I have a issue, I am on AE with all the latest downloads from LL, the issue is that creatures won't start animations as in, aroused works, it's just that the animals won't start a scene on their own, need to use matchmaker for animal stuff.

 

So, Can I hazard a guess that AE Bork's thing up bad in terms of scripting.

 

gonna go see if there are other mods fudging stuff up in my list now. sorry for the moronic post.

First check the Aroused Creatures MCM > Help page, which will list codes for recent engagement failures. Highlight a code to see an explanation and possible solution at the bottom.

 

My guess would be that arousal levels are not rising quickly enough, or not rising at all. In SexLab Aroused MCM, try decreasing the update time, so arousal levels will be polled more often. Disable the option that requires nudity for arousal changes.

 

SexLab Aroused and its derivatives have a bug that can cause arousal to stop updating if SexLab fails to clear an animation thread fully. This can be fixed by going to SexLab MCM > Rebuild & Clean and using the Stop Animations option.

There are regular checks on the player's combat state which will block normal creature scanning and cancel ongoing pursuits. I'll look at addressing this in the next update in the interests of flexibility.

 

There will also be some fixes for bugs involving the Allow Hostile Engagement and Allow Combat Engagement options not functioning correctly. Just keep in mind Aroused Creatures is most definitely not a combat sex mod (for reasons that have been repeated ad nauseam) so these options just mean that combat state is ignored when checking to see if an engagement should happen (or they will when they are fixed properly).

 

No timeline on the next update yet. Lots of stuff getting in the way.

No worries, the points are valid and the issues you are seeing with Allow Combat Engagement and pursuit are caused by actual bugs in AC rather than policy decisions. The next update should work more inline with what you are expecting.

 

It sounds like Stop Combat could be modified to cause everyone to down weapons when an animation starts, rather than just the participants.

 

Have to say, you're the first to say that animation start fast with AC. The usual complaints are the opposite.
