Are there any Mods out there that Conflict with SSE DD? cause in my current almost finished play though of SSE that had dd installed before i started and everything was working correctly all the animations worked just fine. but now none of the animations work at all. everything else works it's just the animations not playing when wearing any of the restraints.

I have no idea whats going on. Everything was installed via vortex and fnis has been run more times then i can count and i have all the requirements.

Incompatible mods are in the known issues spoiler on the troubleshooting post. If you're using Nemesis, it's known for not playing nicely with DD. Only FNIS is supported.

Maybe this questoin was asked a million time, but how can I fix some devices clipping in each other like that?

My guess is to use the MCM menu of Devious Devices (Underneath) but I don't remember how to use it properly.

Thanks if someone have a clue with that!

That is likely not fixable in any easy way. You can learn to edit the NIF's with Bodyslide Outfit Studio. But if you make corset larger it might clip differently with something else, or if you make chastity belt smaller then it might clip with suits assuming they are supposed to be drawn under belts.

Thank you for your help. I have solve that problem. But I have another question. You can see my character's face in the screenshot. I have put the ball gag on but the character's mouth is not open. I don't know what the problem is. I have installed the zap 8+ and run the FINS.

not sure if its been mentioned but certain devices don't show up when worn i have manually built every device in body slide could someone please tell me if im being stupid and missed something that would be great

Hi. After a LONG while, I was finally able to install that mod (and the others) correctly. Everything seems to work correctly...

 

Sooo, I launched a new game with more devious starts and I have chosen to start bound with ropes, but... Well, i started with a armbinder instead... And no matter what I'm trying , ropes never appears : the armbinder always  takes its place. Guess I missed something

You just asked what was out there. That's what I have to date. It doesn't mean you don't have another one, just that it will take effort on your part.

 

Start another new game from scratch, using only DD and it's requirements.  Make sure everything works.

Add one mod at a time, or if you have a lot, a few small ones (like 5  - 10) at at time. Check to make sure things are still working.

Repeat until you find the problem mod.

I have an issue with some of the new items being invisible. left is wearing boxbinder making body invisible, and right has elbow shackles w/collar (which display fine), and catsuit boots, which dont. all items display in Bodyside just fine and can be built.

You may have built them, but if they aren't showing up, you output from bodyslide is not going to the right place. Check your bodyslide settings again, build just one outfit to test, and see where it is going.

Same thing. Your bodyslide output is not going to the right place.

That doesn't make any sense at all. When you installed DD, you installed DD 5.2 right?

If you have DDa, DDi, DDx, DDc, DD for Him, DD BRRF installed separately, remove them. They are all included in the installer starting with 5.x. Installing the old versions will break your DD install.

 

What do you mean "start bound with ropes"? There is no alternate start with that option as far as I know.
If you're adding items manually, make sure you are adding them from the DDx plugin.

 

The princess start from DCL uses an armbinder. It has never used the rope armbinder. Learning the Ropes quest from DCL is not a start option, you need to get that after following the quest chain for a while.

Thanks for the reply! I think the ebonite ones are fixed but the leather ones are not.

 

I was playing with the nif files by myself and it appears that I could fix the issue by using BodySlide to export to Obj, open in Blender, export to Obj and use BodySlide to import again but I have never done any proper modding and don't know what I was doing.

 

Apparently this UV issue is not relevant. But let me try again anyway:

The leather ones were the ones that were working when i was testing, so i didn't do anything to them.

 

I have yet to figure out blender, so you're on your own there.

Not sure what you want me to see with the UV either.

As for the alternate start, I meant this one : 

 

Then again, since it was created by someone else and that it was his first mod, perhaps it is just glitched (another attempt gave me iron yokes this time), but even after a while, I can't find any rope bondage in the game, even after going to Laura's shop. (I also used bodyslides to make sure everything was good, so it doesn't come from there)

 

It's strange : EVERY problem I had before were corrected, so i'm certain that i'm the one who messed up the installation somehow (before, it was because my game wasn't at the good version).

 

I'm still trying to understand how though.. I triple-checked everything and made sure that any necessaries master were installed correctly. Perhaps the problem come from Zaz or something ?

Probably not. Dependency and/or any interoperability with zaz was removed with 5.0. They exist together, they don't interact. There are some conflicts which are handled in Zaz's MCM about handling animations, DD's can't be disabled anymore. And as far as ropes go, ZAZ would use it's own ropes, not DD's.

 

Ropes are used in a quest only once that I know of - and that's  in deviously cursed loot. They should drop from random traps in DCL, not sure about other mods. Other mods may need their leveled lists adjusted, but you'd be better off asking about ropes in those mods.

 

And yeah, DD doesn't do anything other than be a framework, so if there's a problem with the alternate start using a specific device it would be on that mod's end. I've never used that one, stopped using LAL around the nexodus time frame. But since DCL is able to call the rope binders without an issue, it's not anything on the framework side.

 

Common install issues are installed the old separate DD mods along with the SE installer, or the mod manager just fucking up the install, selecting the wrong DLL, or maybe installing the wrong version for your body, or when building the bodyslides, bodyslide outputs to the wrong path. It should let you install without the requirements, but the game would have a fit on enabling the mod without the hard requirements. The soft requirements, not so much, but I can't see any of those causing your issue either.

thanks that works for about 90% of the devices only rope devices don't show is there a way around that or no?

Well, I also installed DCL, so I guess i will just see if I find the damn thing in a dungeon...

 

I'm still using Vortex too... So perhaps it does come from that... That's the only thing that makes sense for me right now, since everything else works perfectly fine

The rope devices were all showing for me.

 

Which one is not showing for you (inventory name), and what is the output path when you build just that one rope (color doesn't matter in bodyslide) - just screenshot them if it's easier. And what race are you, and male or female?

Having issue with animation since updating to new version of DD. known issues so far are armbinders and hobble dresses. have tried changing around some setting on my mods and removing some newer mods in case that caused the issue. any advice. can share my mod list in need be. I can force the armbinder animation through ZAZ. and the boxbinder animation is working.

 

Update,

noticed even though boxbinder hides the arms, my place still goes into combat mod using fists.

Also animation for armbinders only seems to work while moving in combat stance

 

I've tried purging mods, updating fnis a couple times, and even uninstalled and fully reinstalled the game, still couldn't get the animations to work correctly. at this point I'm at a loss of what to do
