IIRC the first one was originally removed by Bethesda in a patch but restored due to public outcry. The second is bug in SL IIRC (something to do with co-ordinates).

I get that and it's certainly your choice to make. I believe that some contrast, on your otherwise black outfit, would perk it up somewhat. I'm not suggesting that you wear neon pink.

Well you could try to get something that those shoes would bring out or something that has the red of your lips (which are dark too).

The only red(dish) outfit I have is Nini's Kurumi, but that's way too playful for an assassin.

It doesn't have to be part of the outfit per se. Amulets, rings and tiaras of various types can be used for contrast. I have to say that my favorite assassin outfit is the Merta version which has many options available with it. Of course, you'd have the same issue with that since it's all black also.
