Related textures / nifs include:  textures\SCB\SCB_Runeplatedragon02.dss  and   meshes\SCB\ChainDragonV03.nif

These are in the 00core part of the full version.  So some sanity checks;

Make sure you installed the latest full version (065)  (and possibly the latest update 067 atm) and that both are for the correction version (LE/SE).

Not my forte. For other body variants I'd suggest trying in the DDCV topic or maybe a topic that works on body conversions to that body. Been a while since I made the patch (the original anyways, not the small edit removing some keywords I uploaded recently) and it was just a proof of concept, but if a version for another body exists the SCB DDCV patch may already works with it.

can we have a little bit more "chainbeast waypoints" in the wilderness or roads. sometimes i get snagged in the tundra of whiterun and the chainbeast marches me all the way to morthal or solitude

 

also have you considered making ahumanoid (draugr/skeleton) chainbeast?

Just as an suggestion for Skyrim Chain Beasts...maybe add an option for certain factions/monsters to hire chain beasts to bring in victims...especially ones that might tickle Molag Bal's fancy.   After all, he's the god of enslavement and presumably rape and patron of the Daughters of Coldharbour (as implied by Serana's backstory) 

You could make it so that the player could toggle what factions/creatures would want his/her PC to be captured for either as part of the mod or through Simple Slavery. 

I can think of a couple of mods that might tie in with that - Things from the Dark and Dealing with Sexual Daedra. 

Ohhh..and Public Whore.  Especially if the PC keeps ignoring the guards' suggestion she see the Jarl about her "new title"   And particularly skeevy Jarls might hire SCB "under the table" to bring in the PC to prison if their bounty is high enough...especially if he/she rarely comes to their Hold.  I mean fugitive retrieval.

Not sure just yet, but I think it's better to deactivate SL defeats surrender if exhausted if fighting SCB or you get an ugly mix of SCB and SL Defeat scenes.

There's a bug in the DDCV BodySlide group file, some of the Members don't have a terminating / in the xml tag, which makes the group not show up in BodySlide.

Thanks. I've tested in bodyslide and after adding those and at least in LE it appears.

You mean DDCV only being available only for LE?  As said I'm not the one to ask for outfit conversions but just running nifoptimizer on it to turn the meshes into SSE compatible ones seems to allow the DDCV to be used in SE as well.

If you set beasts to be possible `defeat attackers' then I guess they could interfere with each other.   Not sure there's an intended way ?faction, keyword? of setting certain actors as non-valid attacks in defeat. If there is (and someone can tell me what that way is) it might be possible to make a patch.

That parts there already;  but only for the current hold. Imagine crawling all the way to another hold...the horror...

(ok that already happens in some cases anyways...)

And he's pissed at you for spoiling his plan (Beauty and the Chain Beast quest).  I already wandered what repercussions that may have.  (For now not too many as I'm far to busy with failing to advance with other quest lines...)

If you enter a cell with Zaz furniture in it along the way it should use those.  Unless it's eg taking to jail or SS.

There's quite a few of those hidden away at key junctions but I guess if your out in the wilderness you might be unlucky ... have added some more hidden devices in any case.  May add some more in key locations if there are very large gaps...(though that is not easy to see...)

 

There is the walking armor (ankle shackles). Other variants like that are possible.

The person to ask is @Bane Master.  He's the guru on the updated version of Defeat, 5.3.6,, as found in the main Defeat thread, as found at

Yes that's what I meant. Np to offer the patch for SE, but be prepared for all the question where the to be patched SE mod version is. ?

Will check if that's possible, I doubt it tho.

There is no issue if SCB are the only ones in a SL defeat scene, because in that case it helps the beasts to do their job. SL defeat can't find any SL animations related to chain beasts and cuts the defeat scene short, leaving SCB to do it's thing.

Only problem is if there is a mix of hostiles. In that case SL defeat will try to start sexy times but gets interrupted by chain beasts pulling aggro, while the chain beasts try to do their thing.

Okay might also create interesting scenes lol

I will keep an eye on that.

 

 

 

Apropos chain beasts pulling aggro.

The walking chain in cities still get attacked by everyone if it tries to catch the PC (for bounty).

Any plans to give that poor walking chain more factions so it can do it's job before being cut to pieces by an angry city mob?

Unfortunately can't add factions; that would risk player/follower aggro members/friends of that faction for just defending herself.  Think the current trade-off is best possible with the game's mechanisms.

Or make the walking chain a follower? ? Wait... That would actually be cool, I wonder... ?

What if the chain thinks it's a guard? Would it still get attacked?

Well, the guard version is only supposed to hunt criminals and the only one that can get a bounty in the game is the player, so I guess it would be possible to hack something specifically for that one.

Or a fear spell...

 

Does not matter what the chains thinks, it's what the (other) guards think.  If they think it's a guard then they won't attack it. But they will attack you if you're fighting it.  (`But they started it' isn't going to save you there you criminal you...)

The walking chain is definitely more responsive than the usual lollygagging skyrim guard.

Usual Guard: "Wait... I know you... " *wind howling, snow starts, PC has turned in 3 quests, PC goes shopping, PC leaves city*

Walking Chain: "Cowabunga! Bounty on her at last!" *chain rattling intensives, throws itself onto the PC*

Suggestions for the MCM not appearing? I have the 0.6.5 version installed, plus the 0.6.7 update, but it's not showing. I installed Jaxonz MCM kicker which said it found a new Menu, but I couldn't see Chain Beasts anywhere.

 

Any ideas? I want to use these things to help me hunt slaves with PAH, so I'm keen on setting some parameters so I don't end up on the receiving end.

Did you tried to do this in console? If no then use it, wait for some time afking in game, and in some seconds there should be a notification about how much mcm's found, and then it should appear in your mcm.

PS for me its there - "Skyrim chainbeasts" mcm.

I didn't, mainly because that's what Jaxonz MCM Kicker is supposed to do. But I did it and it found 38 MCM entries, but the only one starting with "SK is "SKY UI"

 

I might have messed it up since the shot at this I unstalled the update, but somehow missed the main archive. I wouldn't have expected t hat to have an effect, but maybe I should uninstall, clean save, and reinstall again.

 It's like that with Public Whore too. 

Guard huffs and puffs about the PC "seeing the thane about a special title"   
PC says "Can't make me go, nyah, nyah!"   
Guard: "I'm not authorized to arrest or bring you in"   
PC just laughs at the guard and goes about her business.   
Guard:  "My ego took an arrow just like my knee did"

I probably misunderstood something, but how do you get the mimics to appear? Is that a separate mod or part of this one?

You might have to activate them in SCB MCM, last page IIRC, tick box.

They are mimics, you will see them only if it's too late while your greedy mind needs to switch to combat.

I don't see that option on the MCM. And when I search the console for things related to mimics there are no NPC or items that appear to be related either. Is there an additional plug in or download required that I'm not aware of?

 

Working with a clean save and the latest version of Chain beasts so if its part of latest update I should be seeing it right?

Check if you have plugins in LO like:

> SkyrimChainBeastsMM

> SkyrimChainBeastsMMDB

 

If not, reinstall and choose the correct option in FOMOD

What SCB version are you using?
