No dice. Even with the new scripts I still get a CTD in the transition between chain beast and milk machine.

What's the update procedure for v065 with the v66 update (SE)  if I want to go up to the 067 update for SE? 

I'm seeing  the following files:  v065QF-any  and 067Update.  



As for my previous question, I think it was due to script lag that didn't calm nearby hostile creatures and that's what caused the bug. 



When my PC is taken to Pinepeak Cavern to be caged by Mark Chain,  the bears inside the cave are hostile to Mark Chain.   (I had to console kill all the bears) 

When he took my PC out of the cage to start a Sexlab scene, the chainbeast that brought my PC inside the cave to be caged turned hostile and attacked my PC while she was having sex with Mark Chain.  Killing it via console command solved it for me.

Well, so much for that theory.  Will have to give up on that, at least for the moment.

For any version 065 or later just install 067 over top (includes changes made by other updates so result should be the same irrespective of which version you came from).

Could be; a script needs to run to add actors to the needed factions (and when attacking an invalid target to stop them).

I've only seen the bear outside. If there's bears inside as well then Mark choose an unfortunate spot. Maybe depends on player level. Will have to look into it. The beast is supposed to take off after dropping you off, not hang around in the cave.

Never got the caged quest to really work smoothly.  Still on my to do list to try again, but been on there a long time already...

And I'm not sure if it's supposed to happen or not, but any followers in train arrive there too

It's cool. I only suggested it in the first place because I thought it would be an easy patch job.

 

Shame though. MME doesn't come with a way to force the player into machines, and SCB doesn't have built-in consequences for being locked in to furniture. I really thought they'd enhance each other nicely.

Pine Peak Cave normally has one feral bear, two bears inside,  and the same right outside of it.   Nasty place to go to on Legendary difficulty and if you're going up to Greybeards at High Hrothgar,  the bears outside the cave have a chance to aggro you as you cross the bridge between the town and the 7,000 steps unless you're extra careful.   There's either wolves or spiders just up on the path after that. 

Good place to collect the bear skins that Temba wants though...if you survive.

DDCV: use Dwarven Devious Cuirass Variations as alternate crawler armor for one type of beast. (Supports female victims only) - Separate file in the downloads, not included in the installer.

How did I overlook that for so long? >.<

MM: Mimic Mania - for any eligible container there is a chance it might in fact be a sleeping mimic.  You'll need to defeat it to gain access to its content.

I've tweaked to try and make Mark win the fight before you even enter the cave. (Change the spawn point to `starts dead').

It's set to initially disabled for me, so that may be why no bears - likely my doing; will have to see which file it is in (should be integration...) perhaps you have something overriding that? (Then the change I made will likely not help ; will have to check in next version.)

Haven't tested it in a long time, but I don't think I've made changes that would break it.  Some more recent tweaks; eg `crawler not marked as armor' and name change not implemented.

Should replace the (no gem) steel crawler.

 

Yes who doesn't love being attacked by a fish barrel ;)

awww, waiting for that, this would make SCB much more comfortable to use with a crowded LO.

At least with my setup, cause everything gets calmed if unarmed/unarmored.

Note that I meant that specific armor from that plugin, the others should already have the keywords removed.  I've uploaded new version of the DDCV plugin that changes it to clothing and removes the armor keyword.

I checked the bears corpses both inside and outdoors in response to your "something overriding that"   Two bears were  apparently modified by the 3x Enemy Spawns mod.   The third bear was modified by Populated Dungeons and Ruins mod via information targeting each NPC body using console. 

The Mark Chain encounter seems to be wonky.   After he boffed my PC via a Sexlab encounter and after my PC said she'd get back in the cage in response to his telling my PC to get back in the cage and the cage door went down. Then back up and stayed up and my character froze in place.  I had to use the clear function in Defeat to get my PC moving again.

IIRC you can also use jaxonz positioner to move your char into the cage. That frees the controls too.

Maybe via ZAP menu and remove AI control would work too?

I agree that scene is wonky.

Didn't the cage beast became hostile if you get locked out of the cage?

I console killed the cage beast earlier because it turned hostile and attacked my PC.

Nice, means I played that scene so often that I remember it even one year later =D

THAT MIMIC! THAT AWESOME MIMIC!

I start on a far away survival island just so I don't get overrun by LL mods right away.

And what does the first barrel do I meet? (usually I don't "meet" barrels, but in this case...)

Scared the hell out of me lol

 

Just imagine you come back to Skyrim after a year and the first thing you meet is a mimic?

 

Didn't even need to patch the custom worldspace containers ?

There seems to be a couple missing textures or something I haven't installed or something but I am unsure of what they are.

 

I see one of those large red triangles with an exclamation mark by the side of Dragonsreach, I think going over there spawns a chain dragon or something as well but thats invisible for me.

 

Any idea what I am missing or haven't done properly?

I still have to see that location myself.

To make sure the missing mesh is from SCB I think you can hover the triangle and see in console what mod added the object.

FWIW, I have fought the dragon twice, but never seen Red Triangles ...

But yes, my PC was outside of the cage by way of clarification.
