About which mountains is that letter after the mine quest talking? Skyrim has a lot of them and the letter reached my in Solstheim^^

I just downloaded the fixed version and tried and am still getting the same error message with the same result of failing to install even when selecting ignore.

Didn't expect _this_ as a reply! Thanks for the update! Looking forward to playing Chainbeasts for myself at some point! Any suggestions on other mods that have good synergy with yours?

After playing around a bit with the ModuleConfig.xml file I was able to get it to work in Vortex with the following change to lines 45 and 55.

 

45            <type name="Optional"/>          instead of            <Type name="Optional"/>

55            <type name="Optional"/>          instead of            <Type name="Optional"/>
 

After the change Vortex installed the FOMOD without any obvious or immediate issues.  I'm still building my modlist so can't test at the moment to verify it worked correctly ingame.  Opening the installed deployment folder shows everything I selected during installation in the deployment folder.

Did not even occur to me it might treat the tag names as case sensitive. Might technically be following the specification, but still. Anyways I re-uploaded again so others can benefit from your fix as well.

There's two hints about it in the note.

many are alone ... what is another word for being alone and also one of the most populated places in Skyrim?

Thalmor up in their embassy and Solitude. 

So from solitude head up towards the embassy and look for something you can `face'.

 

(If still lost; look at Bretny's story, Chapter 4 part 1, pages 1 and 2)

Hoping the other forum members can make some good suggestions.

 

Back in the day that there were reviews of mods there were some suggestions of mods that work nicely together. 

The ones where there are plugins are obvious options eg with PAHE the beasts are very useful if playing a dominant character.

Things that react to nudity/begin restrained - eg dangerously nude or similar might make things `interesting'.

Followers / encounter/populated mods might be useful to distract the beasts from the PC.

Profit! You should now be able to battle the beasts more effectively.  (For the Beauty and the Chain Beast quest - Read the note to complete the optional objective if that is what you mean. If you have not already done so, there is still the main objective to complete...)

I have no more open quests. I destroyed the unstable mines, gave the guards some keys and got my revenge. Where are the other quests of this mod? The riddle was just to find the box?

The riddle is not related to the gift box; that is just the `aid against chain beasts' that the Beauty and The Chain Beasts quest mentions.

There are some more quests once you find the location the note is referring to. 

(You're too close to dragons bridge, the path up to the embassy is closer to Solitude. Just before the embassy there is a clearing/side path...)

Is it still a bug that "mines, mines everywhere" doesn't update when you destroy a mine but the quest isn't active? I destroyed the mines in riverwood and whiterun but the counter is still at 3.

I don't use the newest version so I wonder if it is still a problem.

Edit: So I destroyed the mine in riverwood with the quest active. The marker is gone but the counter is still at 3.

If it doesn't, it should. That would be a nice added bit of challenge; especially if used by the "Pink Chainbeasts" from the most recent walkthrough entries!

If you started `mines, mines everywhere' before completing beauty and the chainbeast that would break things (prevented in recent versions). There may have been bugs in that quest that got fixed, don't remember. Maybe the change logs say something... For the former skipping beauty and the chainbeast in the skip menu may be needed. If that is not it, stopping the quest in the console may be needed.

This is a radiant quest your goal will be in one of the three locations. 

After you check the marked boss-chest in each location and do not find it there, that marker should disappear, but no other update until you find the right chest.

The sexual content included in the mod is human only.

Optionally; for the beast with a gem that gem is stored in a specific place and might vibrate while the victim is traveling (depends on bodyslide version chosen and MCM setting set),  but that is as close as it gets to what you mention.

Three locations? There are no markers or locations named in the quest entry aside from the 2 I mentioned.

I may have to upgrade and start the whole mod over again. I use V065

Have you checked other locations (eg solstheim) ; maybe the quest objective is present but just not on the skyrim map?

V066 fixes some things but not related to the quests you mention.   No idea why the `mines everywhere' quest does not update. Maybe it's just the counter that is not working properly and the quest completes if you also take care of the third mine?

There's no chance of me ever creating a plugin to deal with this issue, LOL, but you maybe could consider 'Fill Her Up'? 

 

IIRC, there, if the PC/NPC receives a creamy deposit or dessert from a 'new' race/creature you get asked to add that 'being' to FHU and set what sort of size of load is being conveyed.  So sexual 'consequences' might be as simple as just sending a mod event to FHU when the beastie's 'vibration' happens?  

 

Obviously, my technical credentials are zero-, but might it be worth a peek to see if the thought is close to reality (thinks : reality in Skyrim? ?), even only if it makes you laugh hysterically?

 

Thanks for the continued progress on this mod, tho.  It makes every trip through the wilderness fraught with risk

The `vibe' events already sends out a mod event to increase arousal (slaUpdateExposure in OnUpdate() in SCB_VibeEffectScript ), so it may be as simple as also sending out a modevent that FHU listens for. 

If FHU doesn't have a (custom) event it listens to that would need to be added as a patch to FHU. (eg listen for "SCB_VibeEvent" and add me.sendModEvent("SCB_VibeEvent") at line 30 in SCB_ViveEffectScript).

I have discovered what might be the issue with the Mines everywhere quests; if you use the `destroy mine' spell rather than brute force; i.e. just hacking it to pieces (with spell or weapon) after weakening it, the destruction tries to register for the wrong quest, so the right quest never updates. If you use brute force on a later one though, the count should be correct again.  Added to my `to be fixed' list.

 

Still no clue about the "of Fangs and Chains" ;

if somehow there are less that 3 vampire dens in total, there may be less than 3 locations to look for, but then the tome will still be in one of the ones that were found.

 

What do you mean with does not update?  Does the marker not disappear after you open the marked boss chest?

Or have those to markers disappeared but they did not contain the tome?

Can you see what LocA is  (eg with sqv SCB_INT_AspectQuestMB  in the console?) This alias contains the location that has the tome?

I didn't even know I can just hack it to bits^^ i always use the spells.

Marker disappeared after looting the boss chests but nothing unusal inside them. The 2 locations were listed in the quest entry but not anymore.20230415225814_1.thumb.jpg.74c15baf82c3c72be04787af477f0f57.jpg
