I know this 1.63 is beta but also sometimes people say that its about as good as its likely to get and therefore totally ok to use. If not has anyone any 'guess'timate as to when an official version is likely to be ready? I am not being impatient as i am happy to wait. Its simply that a month from now i hopefully will have a pretty kickass PC and i really wanna fully mod skyrim SE but also fully sex it up as i used to with Oldrim but just wanting to get an idea where Sexlab is for SE and if its totally ok to use this beta version or if i should wait. I've been using it since it came out without problems, there are some known bugs, but the only one that I have noticed (I don't mod) is that animations are a bit slow to start. This is one of the known things.
1001ace Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 Hi, sorry if this is an annoying question, I just installed this for special edition, the animations work fine and all, however I cannot just use a specific animation. For example, when I try the animation editor, and select "missionary" and then "play" I follow the instructions to close the menus, and the animation does not change. Another issue I have is when i press the "O" key to change the animation, the animations that it cycles through are always the same. Im a little lost here as I dont seem to know where to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance for your help

Everything about SexLab 1.63 Beta and Sos-SE (full) has worked for me "right out of the box." No crashing, no infinite launch screens- no issues whatsoever except the lo-o-o-o-o-o-ong time it takes for an animation to start, which Ashal has already noted and therefore was excpected. That said, I'm running one version behind - SSE 1.5.23, SKSE64 2.0.6 - while I wait for everything I use to be updated to 1.5.39/2.0.7.
khumak Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Not sure if this is the place to ask this or not, but is there a bodyslide option for the strapon? I have my game set up to mostly remove the options where it would be needed, but in the few instances where I do see an animation where a female is using a strapon, it's clipping through her. I had similar issues with FG until he added a bodyslide for CBBE. I think the default assumes a vanilla body shape.
Remel Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 I keep getting CTD and not sure why. I've downloaded and installed each pack uploaded by Pfiffy and either it stops before it starts or crashes after 1 scene. No issues running Lite without the packs installed. I also installed Fores XXL file to handle all the animations, along with all required files to run SL. When I first installed the Beta and patch I tried it without any packs and just Defeat installed and crashed before any animations could start.
backflip1138 Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Hi everyone -- I'm returning after a long absence and taking my first crack at SE. I seem to recall in Oldrim there was an option for creating light during sex scenes in dark areas. I'm not seeing that in the SE version. Does that option exist? Thanks!

That's in SexLabUtil1 by Fotogen. Unfortunately it has a skse dll that would need recompiling for SE, and I don't think the code is available. I absolutely miss that mod in SE.
Danny_Dorito Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 It could just be me but the actors literally just stand there, im chaining the animations but nothing is happening.

Then run FNIS if you haven't yet and if you did, run it again and this time fix the issues (all errors and most warnings are usually fatal). If you aren't sure what the issues are, post the text from the FNIS output box here and we'll look at it and are usually pretty good at pointing out what you need to do to get it fixed.

I use Facelight in SSE- two versions each, for player and targeted NPCs: Facelight (which is bright) and FacelightDark (which, as the name suggests, is less bright.) I just leave it on all the time- it's not noticeable in daylight but shows up nicely in dark areas. Flower Girls also has a body lighting system that is still a WIP but works pretty well IMHO. If that's not enough light, console-craft a Ring of Candlelight which creates a bright orb above your head for as long as you have it equipped. You need to get the FormID for the ring you want to create, then use that and the Candlelgiht Magic Effect, which is 1ac6c, in the console command: playerenchantobject (RingID) 1ac6c and the ring will poof into your inventory. Obviously, you can wear the ring during any sex scene as well as in lieu of a torch or NightEye when exploring dank holes... but I repeat myself. Neither of my suggestions provides an effect as good as the old SexLabUtil solution, but I think they're better than trying to watch people screwing in pitch-black darkness.

Metalsaber Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Does anyone else have a lot of misaligned animated scenes? Hitting the realignment key doesnt really "align" them, but moves then around and they usually end up back to where they were.

Hitting the realignment key doesnt really "align" them, but moves then around and they usually end up back to where they were. Seems to depend on the animation for me. Some of them are aligned pretty well. Others are off significantly. You can adjust positioning manually with the positioning hotkeys. I haven't actually messed with them yet in the SE version but if I remember right from the oldrim version you can save the new position setting on a per animation basis and also reset it to default in case you make it worse. I think there are also global positioning settings that will affect all animations in case for example all of your animations have the actors too far apart or something. If you have a lot of animations installed it could take a long time to tweak each one. Also from what I noticed from the oldrim version if you use any mods that change racial heights it will mess up the positioning.
Metalsaber Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 yeah I've been tweaking them as they come but seems like I'm doing more tweaking rather than enjoying the scene. haha.

I have disabled and removed all of the non-consensual animations that I could find, so I can't speak to the alignment of those. With the rest of them, they all seem just a little bit "off" but only a little bit and it's easily corrected using the SL hotkeys... except for schlong angle - sometimes the SL "C" hotkey works, and sometimes it doesn't do anything. However, the SoS PgUp/PgDn keys always work, the only downside being that if I adjust the schlong angle using the C key, SL "remembers" it, but when I have to adjust it using the SoS keys, SL doesn't seem to know anything about it the next time and I have to do it again. 5 hours ago, Metalsaber said: yeah I've been tweaking them as they come but seems like I'm doing more tweaking rather than enjoying the scene. haha. Seemed that way to me too, at first, but it does get a lot better as you work your way through the animations because SL "remembers" your adjustments for the next time that animation plays.
rb888 Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 I have an issue with Sexlabs Beta 2 1.63 Sexlabe SE Light works great but soon I try installed with fresh the loader won't load up it screen pops up then crashes back to desktop? Maybe there some wrong with scripts or the sexlab main file it self? I'm trying see if I can fix this issue on my own. This is strange crash I even try installed on top of light replace everything and no go. And UI Ext doesn't work on my end with loader also. Here list mods I got to work with Sexlabs light. I have go each one by one to see why the loader breaks or each mod that caused it so far points to this one.
slydfox Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 I am honestly stumped, I have checked and double checked everything and for some reason I still can't get animations to load. I made sure to use the ones that were converted, downloaded all the prerequisites and used FNIS XXL after installing everything, made sure I installed sexlabs and the hotfix and they still just stand there. All the animations are showing in MCM and Sexlabs is on and working so idk what is going on. Asking for help was my last resort as I usually try to figure things out myself. Any suggestions? Added my mods and the results of FNIS in case that helps.

Ashal Posted June 14, 2018 Author Posted June 14, 2018 Starting major development efforts up again... Where should I be with SSE mods right now? I normally developed SexLab in oldrim stuff using more than 255+ mods (had to merge a lot of them) But currently, in SSE, my load order is pretty light. I've pretty much developed it mainly using just the select few mods I'd think "required" and/or necessary. So would like to hear recommendations for what I should put into the mix while I continue development. Right now, my mods for SSE are pretty basic... Basically just what I need to test SexLab stuff and little more. SkyUI, nude mods, a few basic armor stuff, FNIS, and then sexlab stuff. I don't need content mods here, no plans to finally actually play the game for once, unfortunately... Mainly interested in "game fixes" and what body mods I should be using right now to be honest, along with anything else semi-relevant. Not sure what the status of SSE SOS is for example. 1

SOS is wide spread. I saw it in a lot of load orders. CBBE SE seems to become the major Body for SE, SSE fixes might be interesting in addition to SSE engine fixes. And if you don't already have it, Mfg fix. (it finally fixed all gags....)
cinemagic Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Sorry for not reading the whole thread but I want to ask if 1.63b2 cannot select actor(default hotkey N) during sex scene? I noticed this and tried disable all mods that might interfering sex scene control, like sexlab tools, seperate orgasm etc, reassign hotkey of ZAZ SLAR to other key than default N, and make sure no other mods overwrite any sexlab file. But still cannot select actor during sex, using hotkey L/;/' can only adjust position for actor 2, which is often the male char.

The default SL hotkey for "change actor" is K. I realize that "change actor" is not exactly the same as "select actor" but I have never seen that function in SL (or any SL function bound to the N key) as far as I can remember, going all the way back to Oldrim.) Moreover, as I sit here trying to wrap my head around the concept of a "select actor" function, I can't figure out how that would work- after pressing the N key, then how would you specify which actor you wished to select? I can't think of any way this could fly, especially given the legions of us who use Xbox controllers instead of KB+mouse to control the game. The K key cycles through each actor in a scene, and flashes a highlight around the currently-selected actor. In a threesome you might have to press it twice, possibly 3 times in a foursome, etc. but it works perfectly well and is very intuitive to use. If you open SexLab's MCM you will find an area showing all hotkeys and what they do. There is no N and no "select actor" there. On the other hand, my brain turned to mush when I hit 30, so take everything I say with a grain of salt... ?

In that case I know it isn't a sexlabs issue, but I followed the instructions on this reddit page and I still am having issues. I do have the worst luck though. If I can't get it to work then I will just have to stop playing for a little while until I can figure it out. I am not very technically minded unfortunately. MM animations arent working either so idk if that makes a difference.

That's usually caused by the skeleton either being missing or being overwritten by another mod. If you're using NMM try reinstalling XPMSE. If you're using Mod Organizer try moving the XP32 Skeleton mod (I forget the exact name, but it's the XPMSE install folder) in the left pane to the bottom.
