drgnbzfan84 Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 hey guys well i deleted all older bac mods and only installed new mods bac 1.9c abd all updated mods to 1.9c6 but it still crashes before i eben get to main menu to start new game i have no idea what im doing wrong now the older version i had that worked is gone any advice

Check your load order again and look for any missing master warnings. Be sure to re-run FNIS as well.

The crowd scene in Riften could break, if there were too many npcs standing in that small area before Honeyside and the Master got somehow pushed though the railing and into the water. I made enough idlemarkers around the far side balcony for all those npcs to line up an wave at you, so they no longer clog the alleyway. Also, apparently skyrimfet planned for 16 npcs in the crowd in the script. The actual quest scene missed #12 reference, though, which resulted in a stopped scene whenever the collection found more than 12 )0..11) viable npcs to add to the crowd. The auction scene also did not leave enough time in the end for the pump to release you. As a side effect, the black screen time has been reduced, since it is no longer necessary to that extent. Upon moving the character to Riften, I deliberately turned the black screen off immediately, even though that means, you'll be standing there for some time until the crowd has been gathered and the master appears. But standing there in blackness does not help it either. As always, don't forget to run BodySlide. If you don't have all of them, whichever mod is missing its master mods won't function and won't let the game start. You should be able to see somewhere that you're missing master mods depending on your mod manager.

Those may rely on existing masters. If any of those is missing, Skyrim will CTD on load. Normally, the modding tool you use should tell you which masters are missing, alternatively you can use LOOT for load ordering, it should also tell you. My version of BAC needs additional masters compared to skyrimfet's version, namely Devious Devices (Assets) Heels Sound (I'm trying I just succeeded to eliminate that dependency, it will no longer be needed from next version on) Both versions need SexLab Framework SexLab Aroused or SexLab Aroused Redux ZaZ 8.0+ Edited March 16, 2022 by botticelli

But you would need to do that every time you change someting in CK, because that eliminates all hard dependencies on .esps on save. botticelli Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 (edited) So now version 1,9C7 comes along with: removed dependency on Heels Sound.esm, so that particular master is no longer needed for BAC added a slider "# Image Modif" in the quest settings on the Story tab. If you do not show up for your weekly date with Paul, he would start encouraging you with modifications. One such is the ImageSpaceModifier for color desaturation which sets in after about a day of delay. Up until now, this used to be applied each time the punishment timer ran around - up to 144 times. Each time halves the color saturation. The human eye cannot discern desaturation below 1/1000th, so I limited that to 10 (2^10 = 1/1024th). Depending on other ImageSpaceModifiers (from other mods or vanilla ones, like frenzy), even this may be too high resulting in some weird interface where you cannot see anything very well. So, you may turn down this slider as far as 1 (half color) to suit your gameplay best. However this will only be applied on any new quest started after your change. Any running quest will use the previous value. The "safe" approach is to delete all older versions of BAC (and only that), You can try with overwriting, but as I said somewhat earlier: The older versions leave scripts in data\scripts. My version comes with an archive (bac.bsa) where my scripts are located. But, when the game searches for a script, any loose script (of an older version) takes precedence over mine and thus will likely cause errors.
