Popular Post ApoKrytia Posted March 14, 2015 Popular Post Posted March 14, 2015 Heels Sound View File Declaration This is a reupload with permission. The original author is my friend ybsj520. Here is the original link: http://www.skycitizen.net/post/66517 Description Ever think that high heels should have their own "click" sound? Now, the dream comes true! This modder resource let high heels have standalone sound without replacing any vanilla sound files. Sound variants including different surfaces and movements. For now, there is only sounds for pumps. From now on, I take care of the updates. Requirement Skyrim. And of course any high heels mod. Usage Reassign the foot step set(in AA) of the high heels to "AngelFSTHeelsFootstepSet". The esp you modified will make "Heels Sound.esm" as master. If you are using TESVEdit, you have to right click the esp to add "Heels Sound.esm" as master, first. For newbie: Open TESVEdit, right click and select none. Check Heels Sound.esm and the esp you want to modify. Right click the esp and select Add Masters. Check Heels Sound.esm and click OK. Expand Heels Sound.esm and expand Footstep Set. Copy FormID of AngelFSTHeelsFootstepSet. Now expand Armor Addon branch of esp. Select the high heels you want to modify. You can see the reference tab at bottom for help. Browse to SNDD – Footstep Sound. Paste the FormID to this column. Repeat again with every heels. Close TESVEdit and click OK with esp checked. Kyomujin Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Another way of adding the master in TESVEdit without creating a bunch of overrides, which may interfere with any update of the "Heels Sound.esm" you could just right click the esp you want to modify and select "Add Masters..." in the popup select "Heels Sound.esm" and you now have the master relationship which allows you to add the footstep sound to entries in the esp of your choice. 2

Thankfully, the foot step set is completed, so there won't be any conflict. I'll update the usage to this better method.
zupra Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I love the sounds. My PC is wearing heels about 99% of the time so yes this mod is great addition.
meleegladiator Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 can someone teach me how to install this mod? im new around here
ApoKrytia Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 can someone teach me how to install this mod? im new around here Same. What "AA" mean ? This is modder's resource, so you have to learn some simple esp editing. I recommend TESVEdit. Check my Bodyslide conversions to see some examples, which have modified esps. AA means Armor Addon. Contains additional information for an armor like race support, model path, biped slot, weight slider, footstep sound, etc.
ApoKrytia Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 Where can i download the AA tool/software ? Use CK or TESVEdit.
Arhon Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Can I just download it, install it (Using Mod Organizer) and it will work? or do I need to do something else?. Just asking because, I am a bit confused since you said something in "Usage" never did such things before so just want to be sure.
ScorpiusX Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Hi, I've just tried this mod in conjunction with your armour conversions, however i only get the heel sound whenever my characters right foot hits the ground. There is no sound from the left foot at all.

Hi, I've just tried this mod in conjunction with your armour conversions, however i only get the heel sound whenever my characters right foot hits the ground. There is no sound from the left foot at all. Strange, the only problem I encountered is the sounds may not synchronized with animations (mainly 1st person), and this seems to be caused by engine limitation. I can heard of sounds from L and R foot.
ApoKrytia Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 Update tutorials. I suggest you guys learn some simple armor editing with TESVEdit if you are a heavy outfits player.
zax Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 After trying this mod with your luxury collection's heels I realized how important the footstep sound is. Then I found that all vanilla boots dont make sound in my game, I never ever noticed it earlier, is it normal?

Then I found that all vanilla boots dont make sound in my game, I never ever noticed it earlier, is it normal? I always thought the vanilla sound sucks, and have been using Footsteps Sound Overhaul for a long time which except for a few surfaces sounds very good. It's not on the nexus anymore so I've attached the esp. While checking for the mod on nexus (and finding it's not there) I found Immersive Sounds - Footsteps. It may well be better, I'll be checking it out later. FootstepsSoundsOverhaul.7z 1
RuikoTwo Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 By the Divines! Just walking around is a pure eargasm now. This makes everything so much better.

It may well be better, I'll be checking it out later. Firstly I thought it could be that: Q: Why can't I always hear my footsteps in third person view? A: Are you using custom animation mods? Chances are some of them don't have sound triggers assigned to them, so that can only be fixed by editing the animations. and DragonFly's running animation not having sound triggers, but then I tried Immersive Sounds - Footsteps and its working fine. Is vanilla footstep sound really that bad? Btw, what movement animations are you guys using with these footstep mods?
Pinute Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I use http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29622/?, with http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13272/? loaded over the top of it. Requires some extra boxes ticked in FNIS.
