The new changed game is awesome, I totally like the mood shift!

Now pet suit attached and detached properly, however again DFW got a bit broken:

1. No main DFW dialogue to pay up, set up deal, etc

2. Dialogue for device removal persists

3. Check for worn deal devices is broken, follower ignores PC removing and running around without her lovely piercings, corset and cuffs

4. However she removes clothes when entering town

5. No putting her hand on shoulder when speaking to other persons.

 

Waiting, sleeping, etc didn't helped to fix it.

Also, small test shown this partial break occurs on end of any follower games, so it's something common, like failed resume function?

We need some hints on how to trigger these games.  I have taken one deal at a time all the way to slavery and never had a game trigger.

 

Bug report:  (v 1.52 beta) I wanted to start over so I gave myself money and bought out of slavery and then each deal.  When it came to the piercing deal, he gave me the removal tool but didn't take the money, and I can't dismiss him because he asks for his share of the gold.  Which he didn't take.  I paid him off of regular debt using "follower will be dismissable".

Games/events are mini events when your follower catchs you off guard it is based on what you are wearing device wise/willpower/debt.
List of em.
w/ low will or over half enslavement debt. 

Inn- sleep in a inn with a gag 
Jacket - in a dungeon with a blindfold
Stables- Bondage boots in the wilderness (maybe dungeon)
Enslaved (babe2) - It's just on a timer.
They can be blocked by other devices (getting in the way) or quest devices. 

 

Note that the last line is important - the games usually involve putting at least one new device on the player unexpectedly and will not trigger if that slot is already filled.  I believe the non-enslavement games require heavy bondage, body slot, restrictive gloves slots be open respectively.  In other words if you took every deal I think you'd likely have blocked 2 of the 3 games from being able to trigger.

 

I think the intent of the games are for some random fun/consequences for getting equipped with a DD and having either low willpower or high debt.  You'd likely need a separate mod to put you in that position, like Deviously Cursed Loot or that mod that lets bandits that knock you down also equip you with DD items afterwards.

haha, decided to get it done, plus most of the dialog is very gender neutral already, its well worded

 

Appreciate all the work you and Lupine are doing to help out Lozeak,(who is updating like a mad man ) and everyone else to give people options when they play ..nice work

Not if you translate it. :D
Based on the mods content i had to decide on a gender because even if i find a neutral way for the translation, it would sound very artificial in some places.

? ahhh I did the easy part, once I get some time away from work , instead of just changing dialog I will add new dialog with the conditions that only a male will say certain lines instead of a female, so its all originals lines for each gender. what needs to be done to translate it besides the obvious, I can speak/write moderate Spanish, but I am not bi-lingual by any means

Don't go this extra mile because once Lozeak updates you may have to redo it completly if enough existing dialogue was changed ... unless you want to offer your work to Lozeak so it get's integrated into the mod because this would be awesome. But before you go though all of this, maybe ask him if he would integrate it because if not then the momentary method does suffice and i can usually carry over your work without much problems.

 

i know what i wrote about a mergable patch/mod but we talk about Lozeak and his highly appriciated update mayhem here. ;)

Yes definitely appreciate the countless hours he is putting into this to update and make it better, when I do get the free time, I will contact him first and see if its something he wants to use when we get to that point, so then he can just concentrate on everything he wants to get done in this amazing mod

Posted a patch, It should fix it. I can't really test atm.

I'll integrate it's not a lot of lines ^^. Lucky, at the start I tried to make it gender neutral as possible lol. (When CGi is done, no rush though I'm gonna be busy for a few days anyway)

Games trigger needs work but I can not do this till I have more.

Basically, if I make them easy to trigger.... you'll do the same event over and over and over (cause of lack of variety) ..... imo that sucks. So I have to make them hard to trigger and rare.

I think it works like this atm because there cool little Easter eggs and really fun.... but if i can make enough them I will make a system for it. It's something I will be thinking about but have no plans (I came to the conclusion the mod need more games first)

The P Deal sounds like a missing script or I mis-set a varible will look into it when I get time.

i'm sure @-Caden- knows how to make it easily mergeable using xEdit, so the amount of added dialogue wouldn't even matter.

 

Btw: The function They() in the MCM script saves versions of She, He, Hers and His. Didn't see it being used anywhere. What's it for?

 

P.s.: i edited a few functions like the gamble game notifications to cut down on strings that needs translation. i'm not fully done yet but we already have over 250. -.-'

One of the problem with the games not being known in advance is how unlikely the player is to actually see them. For instance: I'm in a dungeon, Cursed loot throws a blindfold on me. What to do? What to do? I know. "Hey, Lydia, wanna take this off of me. 500 Septims? Sure, here you go."  Who is going to keep a blindfold on in the middle of a dungeon? Same with sleeping in a gag; I'm home, sleeping, my follower will remove it for a few bucks or I have a key. The games being seen would be very, very rare, especially when there is a delay from when you get the item(s) attached to when the game triggers. I think I had to wait over 8 hours in a dungeon before my follower reacted to me wearing a blindfold. 

 

Definitely need more games and I for one am appreciative of the ones we have and for everyone's great work, especially Lozeak.  I like the randomness of them, for sure, but I think maybe there needs to be some games of varying difficulty, or in various stages of the mod, from no deals and low debt, to games with a few deals, to others while enslaved, and  maybe not just games. Maybe tasks, too.  For instance, "oh, you've made a few deals and you're enslaved, why don't you run to the inn and buy me a carrot. I'll wait here." And here could be anywhere, from a dungeon to your house. Heck, could spawn a certain item in an inn in Riften and be in Solitude and send the player bound across the map for the one special piece of pineapple upside down cake.  Or something simple, no deals made, follower throws an item on you randomly, giggling and saying "just for fun," add debt to take it off, or pay to take it off, or do something, masturbate in town for an audience, or fetch something or even tell the player to ask around, surely someone will help her.  Asking for help with Cursed Loot doens't always go well, but that could still be fun, too. Not sure. Still, love the mod and how quick Lozeak is to fix bugs. It is quite impressive. Anyway, thanks for the mod!

Honestly, now that we have the key game I personally wouldn't mind if Devious Follows stopped removing DD items for cash and just offered keys through the game.

 

The "device removal" option could instead be replaced with "I can't reach my locks with this key, can you help me?" to assist with tough items like mittens or heavy bondage items.  Even better if there was a chance of the follower screwing with you at low willpower by demanding a favour/to play a game/"accidentally" dropping and losing the key.  Don't worry, they'll just sell you another one if you play the key game!

 

I think "key game only" would make players more likely to stay in less dangerous bondage like pony boots/restrictive gloves/blindfolds/gags for longer, giving games a better chance of triggering.  The "instant gratification" of having the follower guaranteed removing these items for cash may be a bit too easy, even if the player makes the pricing very expensive.  Would be curious if any others agree.

When I edited the original English text, I tried to strip out everything that indicated the gender of the follower, but it made sense to keep it worded for a female PC, as that was how the original was written ... and DD doesn't really work for male PCs right now.

 

The original version was mostly gender neutral for followers, but occasionally threw in a gender specific pronoun.

 

I notice that Lozeak has set the mod up to use substitutions now, so the dialog could use correct gender specific pronouns and possessives where they're really hard to avoid.

 

There was one place where it was really hard, and that was a single line of dialog:

 

"Mistress!!!"

...the PC exclaimed.

 

I think I made this neutral by using just "!!!" or something equally weak ... but now we could put the follower's name in there instead:

 

"Lydia!"

 

Or, you can fill out a special global quest variables to a hold a word  or phrase of your choosing, based on arbitrary scripting (in this case Master or Mistress), so we really could have:

 

"Master!" or "Master J'zargo!"

and

"Mistress!" or "Mistress Lydia!"

 

if that was what worked best, but it would require Lozeak to populate a new global variable according to follower gender.

 

The limitation is that this only works in Topic Prompts and not Topic Info items, but for things the PC says, that's fine.

It would work in this specific case.

 

You might even be able to squeeze Master or Mistress out of the "Relationship" substitution, if you have set those relationships up.

Zaz creates them; I've never checked to see if they work in text replacements, but it might.

as far as the blindfold game goes i have had it trigger instantly, and had it take (i think) 6 game hours to trigger.  it depends on timing (luck of the draw there), and script lag .

he is working on making more games (i think) and while i do agree we need more of them, i like how rare they are to happen right now due to not enough of them (yet).

oh i do like those 2 ideas (random item to go get at random time, and random equipping of an item if you have no deals), but i think both should have willpower requirements

(if your willpower is to high they will not happen).

I've been thinking about this and I like the idea but IMHO it needs something. With Cursed Loot you can configure it so that keys pretty much drop with EVERY SINGLE THING YOU LOOT. You don't have to but you can.  With it set like this, it makes the key game kinda redundant since you will find a billion keys anyway. Same with having the follower remove your items; with all the keys you won't need the follower to remove your items. With easy access to keys, it becomes far too easy to get free making the key game and item removal unnecessary.

 

I think I'd like the idea that if you have a follower with you, and why wouldn't you with this mod, heck this mod is the reason I no longer travel solo... anyway, if you have a follower, then he or she needs to just take all the keys you find ("for safety" or "to keep my supply up. You never know when someone," she smiles at the Dragonborn, "will need to play a game for one.")  Part of your followers compensation package, say. You pay them and they get to keep all the keys you find.  If it's tied to willpower, then you just stockpile keys and can use them willy-nilly, unless you reach a certain willpower level and at that point your follower then confiscates your keys.  Then the key game / device removal means something. No matter the settings in DCL, the follower keeps the keys. Then if you get a non punitive item you can stick with it; do you really need to remove those pony boots now? Maybe someone will remove them for free when I get back in town? Not really; it isn't hampering anything and you don't have a key since the follower took them.  Or if it's a punitive item, where you can't go on like a blindfold, then you would have to play the key game. I think I'd keep item removal, too, but only in an inn, and keep the key game for out in the wild, running dungeons to make enough money to actually pay for the follower.  Can make the keys cost coin or debt, make device removal tied to humiliation, like suck off three patrons, or fuck a dog (or whatever) and I'll remove that armbinder.  Removal not for money maybe; then it's again a choice for the player based on how much money they have, what their debt/deal ratio is. Pay money for a key, humiliate yourself for item removal or risk your DCL settings asking strangers to help you get free.   

 

Anyway, that's what I'm thinking and no matter what comes I'll be happy with it.  I know that in DCL the Dollmaker can take keys as soon as you find then but since I don't know bubkas about coding I'd hate to see the follower confiscating your keys, you playing the key game, and your follower confiscates the one she (my follower is always a she) just gave you because of a coding loop. Unless your will power is 0 (ha).  "Oops, sorry, you don't mind do you?" Maybe randomly - not all the time. "Wan't to play again? I promise I won't keep the keys we just played for this time?" 

 

Kudos for the mod, as always!

In the past, quests have been broken by key-taking mechanics in DCL.

It would be a pity to relearn those lessons again in DF.

 

If the keys removed are only generic "restraint" and "chastity" keys, then it's probably safe. Don't touch any other keys.

 

But really, if you don't want keys to drop in DCL or whatever, don't make them drop. This doesn't need a change in DF.

 

When I have a DCL follower, most often I turn off ALL the key drops, and only enable the rare key drops if I get stuck in something that needs them.

That way, the follower is the only way out of generic devices, unless I want to take my chances with the DCL bondage dialogs ... which can be set to be a risky proposition.

 

Seriously, who sets a high key drop rate and then complains they have lots of keys?

 

This key taking and stuff, it's atmospheric and all that, but it doesn't add anything that can't already be achieved another way. I'd rather see more games, or updated slavery, or new DW stuff, or... the list goes on.

 

I still want a way to deal with follower fee balancing automatically so it doesn't feel like I'm either in easy mode or cheating.

Adding robberies via other mods brings other problems.

 

My current strategy is to make looting very dangerous.

I can't get money, or keys, without looting, which has around a 10% chance of getting me DCL trapped per loot attempt (or double that on boss chests).

It sort of does the job, but balancing that percentage is an issue, just like balancing robbery rates. There is always a rate you have to balance.

I need to error catch, people removing devices in games basically yea the mod will wait for the game to end to continue even if you escape. As for difficultly or system, until I have a good enough idea to work stuff out, I'll leave it and just make more game basically just for fun (for ur follower :P) ^^.

MCM settings so that people could decide that themselve, np!

I'll condition it to PL IsSex in dialogue and add it. Will be the easiest way for me. I hate text substitutions in the CK there so glitchy or hard to use.

You pay them and they get to keep all the keys you find.  If it's tied to willpower, then you just stockpile keys and can use them willy-nilly, unless you reach a certain willpower level and at that point your follower then confiscates your keys.  Then the key game / device removal means something. No matter the settings in DCL, the follower keeps the keys. Then if you get a non punitive item you can stick with it; do you really need to remove those pony boots now? Maybe someone will remove them for free when I get back in town? Not really; it isn't hampering anything and you don't have a key since the follower took them.  Or if it's a punitive item, where you can't go on like a blindfold, then you would have to play the key game. I think I'd keep item removal, too, but only in an inn, and keep the key game for out in the wild, running dungeons to make enough money to actually pay for the follower.  Can make the keys cost coin or debt, make device removal tied to humiliation, like suck off three patrons, or fuck a dog (or whatever) and I'll remove that armbinder.  Removal not for money maybe; then it's again a choice for the player based on how much money they have, what their debt/deal ratio is. Pay money for a key, humiliate yourself for item removal or risk your DCL settings asking strangers to help you get free.   

 

Anyway, that's what I'm thinking and no matter what comes I'll be happy with it.  I know that in DCL the Dollmaker can take keys as soon as you find then but since I don't know bubkas about coding I'd hate to see the follower confiscating your keys, you playing the key game, and your follower confiscates the one she (my follower is always a she) just gave you because of a coding loop. Unless your will power is 0 (ha).  "Oops, sorry, you don't mind do you?" Maybe randomly - not all the time. "Wan't to play again? I promise I won't keep the keys we just played for this time?"

Key stealing/key control is not in the works but asking permission to be able to remove devices might ! Honestly, I don't have a good idea for key control and it flows against some of the things in the mod not to mention you can lower you key drop rate/make key break more/make them get consumed per use.

Forgive me, but I seem to not understand how to get his mod to load or work right. Assuming I'm a complete idiot, I have everything installed for this mod on the most up to date version. The message at the top right says "CFQ Loads" when I load the save, but I'm rather unsure of how this works. I'm suppose to be able to have followers remove devices, have strange interaction with them, and even the feature of disabling the closest NPC works. But I can't seem to get my follower to do any of the interactions this mod says it can do. Follower behaves a vanilla follower still. It won't unequip devices is mainly what I tested for this.  This is weird as other mods such as Devious Devices Helpers work just fine, but this one does not (I am not running both at the same time, just testing them at the moment). Am I just being impatient with this mod and let it run its course while I have a follower, or is there something else going on that I'm not seeing? Any help is appreciated.
