More Nasty Critters Legendary Edition

question- about animation packs in general.

 

If there are animations that Im never gonna use- for example - slaughterfish, or spider...

 

I know of course I can turn them off through various mcm menus and so on.

 

What I am wondering though -   what if i delete the actual "Spider animation" folder from the animation packs?  would that do anything worthwhile?  *as in less stuff the computer has to sort through, checking 10000 animations to find 1 applicable vs checking 1000 to find 1.

 

Would it do anything harmful?  id wager might do it before running fnis..  so, install--> remove ---->FNIS..

Just disable the Animations on the SLAL and reset the Animation registry. If you delete the folder or any of the Files without enough knowledge you can get serious issues.

if you know what you do you can customize packs via their files. 
But you would have to repeat it for every new release.

 

Easy way:
- delete the entry of the animation in "SLAnims\json\ >here<" (can lead to errors if you forget a comma or ( [ 
- delete the entry in the FNIS text here "Meshes\actors\character\pack >here< (its a txt file)

 

you ll get FNIS errors but they dont matter. Your hkx file count will (I think) remain the same.

Long way (but faster when u know the process)
- edit the Source file for the JSON directly (remove the anims you dont like)

- run the python tool to create a new JSON and txt file 
- run FNIS for modders to create new behaviour file
- run FNIS for users 

- play

this last thing requires all knowlegde you need to built a pack in the first place :)

I do this for myself, but it took me a while, but now I built my own custom packs easily and fast. and I can even edit and improve them to my liking and add new content manually when it is released.

Just realized I'm on the LE page for MNC damn... right after I downloaded it and installed it. Although the frontpage says this isn't compatible with SE, if I optimize all the Nifs & animation files for SE would it work?

Lol damn... there it was all this time today I've been lookin for the updated SE version of it. Thanks. One more question, should I install Creature Framework  before I install MNC being the latest version of MNC  has an updated CF within it?

Hey, I'm hoping someone can help me out, I have this mod installed and the animations and everything work fine, but every creature I try to mate with doesn't get erect (they have penises but they either stay in the sheath or don't get erect at all).  I have tried re-registering the animations, the arousal threshold is set to 1, I have uninstalled everything and re-installed them.  I can't figure out what is wrong.  Here is my load order if that helps:

that there is your problem, you have MNCv9 installed, not MNCV12.

I have MNC V12_1 installed though? Should I get rid of Nude Creatures?

Ok, I got rid of Nude Creatures, ran FNIS again just in case, and re-registered all mods in Creature Framework, but it still didn't change anything.

it may have left files behind, Eg:

4. in Data\Scripts delete these files:

8. use a save editor to remove these scripts/script instances from your save file:
(note: not all save tools are the same and i don't know which one works best)

slncAddonDGScript
slncConfigMenu
slncMainQuestScript
slncPlayerAliasScript

 

9. in game go to the Creature Framework MCM and click on "Re-register all mods", then unpause the game and Wait a Minute.
note: you may need to wait a minute after the game loads before you can go to the Creature Framework MCM.

Sorry to keep bugging you, but I would very much love to get this working.  I did not have any files leftover, but I downloaded a save editor and got rid of the scripts that were left.  I re-registered again, but still no dice.

Yeah, just to be sure I just tried with a skeever and a deer and neither were erect.  I'm sorry, I wish I didn't have to bug you.  I can't think of anything to try, I might create a new profile tomorrow and try doing a fresh game and see if I can get it to work.  I don't really want to restart, so anything you can think of would be appreciated.  Sorry again.

have you tried reinstalling JContainers?

Hey so im having issues with these mods and im not sure where. Everything seems to be working just fine up until mating. The player and the creature (or human) will get into starting position but then just stand there while the sounds for the sex animations play. I have reinstalled every mod, as well as skyrimSE as a whole. The one thing i havent tried is starting a new save. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know because im at a complete loss.

try reading the guide, Animation Troubleshooting step 7, and then 5 & 8.

Okay thank you for this guide, looking at it it seems im missing some stuff that wasnt mentioned anywhere else (or at least from what i saw). Ill add what im missing and update here. UPDATE: So  i got it working thanks to your guide but the creatures still just stand there in idle animations.
