It always depends on what you play as in battles: thief, assassin, mage, warrior etc.

In Skyrim there really is not difference,  IMHO.  This battle I think can only be won through spells -- everything else is too slow.

That's what I mean, if you don't normally play as a mage, the fight with Zoe can be very difficult.

I beat Zoe with a level 8 character. All you need is a Deadric greatsword and the fight will be over before Zoe can even reach her final form.

Exactly.

I think a lot of people forget the game aspect of the module and just play for the story.  Sure the first time you play the Zoe fight it might seem to be a BS fight.  But a little preparation ahead of time goes a long way to making this a fun boss fight.

My only complaint for the Zoe fight is how dark it is -- it could be just a bit lighter.  I use an ENB for stability the LE version, so it is very hard to get any sort of night vision working.  I have tried multiple mods, but I can never actually get it fine tuned enough.

For the Dremora Lord fight, I go into it with Bound Armor in the left hand and Bound Sword in the right.  I purposely lose as many time as I can until just before the mini-game becomes impossible to win -- usually just after the third loss.

Did you have a good strategy against the Phantom Archery?  The only way I can keep the imperials alive is to use the console to "teleport" my character adjacent to her.

Beating the Phantom Archery is easy if you have the Slow Time shout. Otherwise you have to use console command sadly.

I don't really understand this.  All Skyrim characters are fighter/mage/thieves.  Are you using an Alternate Start Mod to remove your characters spells?  You don't have to specialize in destruction magic to grab firebolt and the Atronach Stone for this battle.  I haven't really tried beating her down with the Daedric greatsword, but I do run up to her in certain places to make to avoid the fireballs and gain better accuracy on my attacks.

But even if you don't do the mage strategy, in the Block tree is Elemental Protection >> Blocking with a shield reduces incoming fire, frost and shock damage by 50%.  Combine that with the Atronach Stone and you can negate much, if not all,  of the damage from her fireballs.

With Alchemy, Fire Tongue with Bone Meal creates Resist Fire potions, both ingredients are cheap and abundant.  There are also lots of boots, amulets, etc. that provide fire resistance.

You can also up your magic resistance with the Lord Stone, potions, etc.  It is fairly easy to hit the MR cap of 85%.  The only real problem I have is if my MR is too high, Zoe's paralyzation spell can fail, which then requires a reload.  In normal Skyrim play, one can get to the point where dragon breath does zero damage early on.

So yes, I think this battle will kill most people the first time they encounter it, but with a little preparation it can be a fun boss battle regardless of how they specialize their character.

Also it doesn't require that high of a level.  I normally play with an XP mod, but the one I use now has a MCM conflict with this mod's MCM.  So the last time I played, I just used Skyrim's default leveling system and paying trainers (since gold is abundant here and I have nothing else to spend it on).  I finished the mod at level 20.  Probably fought Zoe around level 10ish, give or take.

But if you are just in it for the story, use the console and move on.

The problem with the Slow Time shout is that two of the word wall locations are quest locked. Labyrinthian is deep in the College of Winterhold questline.   Korvanjund is early in the Civil War quest line, but not normally a questline I pursue.  The final location Hag's End requires going through Deepwood Redoubt.  So a big detour if one is just playing this specific module.

The other problem is even with knowing exactly where she is located and having Detect Life running I still have a difficult time targeting her before she kills me.

In my experience if you hit her with a bow once she'll go down, so once you've saved and seen where she's shooting from, just aim on that spot.

Ich habe Zoe mit einem Level-8-Charakter besiegt. Alles, was Sie brauchen, ist ein Deadric-Großschwert und der Kampf ist vorbei, bevor Zoe ihre endgültige Form erreichen kann.

My game hangs/crashes when I defeat Zoe before she reaches her final form.

That is, when skeletons, draugr and atronachs are through and she starts firing her fireballs from everywhere.

Also, the other day I had the problem that she accelerated her attacks a lot, which means she only stayed at each spot for about 2 seconds and fired a lot of fireballs in a short time. - However, this bug only occurred once.

Dogma says he might give a rough release date when he finishes the last part of the branch hes working on atm. He is also abandoning the “citizen of Falkreath” branch for now, because thatd be additional 2 months of work. Imo the next patch will be available in early fall

Thanks for the update on the state of affairs.

Soo if I understand correctly the next update is 100% pregnancy focused and those who aren't interested in that topic don't really have anything to look forward in that update yea?

It will develop the side quest that will lead the player to discover who is the parent of their child, for all we know, it will be primarly a quest about tracking someone, only this time the PC will be pregnant and the NPCs will know. Dogma didn't give any details, but I believe the new sex scenes won't necessarily all have to focus on the pregnancy aspect during the act, although it is expected that many will take that into consideration. If you want to see the scenes without having a belly, that should be easy to do, brewmasterhal might post the console command to reset the belly when the update arrives. However, if you choose to take the potion back in the Skunkway, yeah, there is nothing for you since the quest will fail.

Nevertheless, the new update should have the latest patreon exclusive content. If you only played the public version so far, there will be two new side quests that isn't related to pregnancy.

Dogma has actually said that only the last part of the questline actually deals with trying to find the father, etc. and the first two parts will be pretty similar to stuff we've been doing throughout the mod story.

It's not like this kinky sex mod isn't going to continue to be about weird sex...

Dogma has plans to continue modding after Thief is finished.

hello guys, i've been wondering about mods like this but for a male character, I mean a quest mod you can use as an underdog backstory before becoming the dragonborn.

Any quest mod that doesn't acknowledge you as dragonborn should work, no? There are many like that.

But if you are specifically after quest mods that have sexual content for male characters, that might be more difficult to find.
