winny257 Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 In its current state 70 % cut is still too expensive i wont pay more then 20% the current price if i even buy it. i will wait till the game gets in the bin it will probebly be really low price by then. If you want to wait, then you have to wait at least 6 months, maybe even longer. The current offer. DVD Version 44,99 € - 30% = 31,50 € Edit: the download version is much cheaper.
Dee383 Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 News Flash : EA & Bioware Are Planning To Fix The Animations . Im Supprised They Waited Until After The Game Launched .... lol
D_ManXX2 Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 i think they need to fix more stuff then just animations. how about those horrible female presets ?? wooof.. btw animations wont be fixed for long time. they still have other things like game stability black screen these will take priority so maybe 6 months maybe next year. in the mean time animations will remain like it is now. News Flash : EA & Bioware Are Planning To Fix The Animations . Im Supprised They Waited Until After The Game Launched .... lol btw this was already reported last year they knew there where animations problem still they did not fix it back then. now with backlash they will either be forced to fix it or suffer sales. So now they will feel the pressure witch is a good thing this game should never have been released in this state. I feel sorry for the people who preordered this game and payed the full price. They sure have been scammed from there money.

About 30 Euros for a not-perfect game is still acceptable. 80 or 70 Euros is not. My main concern is the game longevity without paid DLCs.

Here are some of the reasons why broken games are released:
Dee383 Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Tell Me How Many Patches Get Released That Fix The Actual Problems And Dont Break Other Things Or Make Them Worse .
Kargrin Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 From what we seen: 1-Leaked 2016 footage.. with way better graphics and animations (stakeholders saw that most likely) 2-Ea/Bioware hq overlook the game problems, (or they simply didn't know/ were deceived) 3-Trailers and early EA acess gameplay worsened the state of the release (negative hype) 4-And now the director himself says on Twitter they are working on fixing all the problems the game accumulated (even said he was going on many meetings, and we know who it was) The guy is probably being bashed as hell now when his game is the lowest scored Bioware game - outside of mobile- in history? I know Bethesda pays developers some bonuses based on Metacritic scores (happened with Obsidian and F:NV) Who knows how mad some business man are right now, since the sales will reach a peak for this first week, and won't recover even if they fix evrything.
Dee383 Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Well I Heard In A Video On YouTube That The Game Had Over 5000 Bugs .. I Wonder How Many It Still Has ....

This is the timeline 2013 Q4 - first rumors of new Mass Effect game. 2014 Q3 - reveal of Mass Effect: Andromeda, new Bioware Montreal studio with 0 experience (except for multiplayer part of ME3) was put on development. Almost nothing is shown (except for concept art). Now we know that the game was 2 years into development by that date. 2015 Q3 - game officialy announced on E3, we are shown more concept art and a short video of the mako driving on snowy mountains (3 years into development). 2016 Q1-Q2 - Few trailers and leaked videos featuring good graphics, amazing lighting and some decent looking character faces and animations. 2016 Q3 - News about Bioware Edmonton being now in charge of the development. Now Bioware Edmonton people are representing ME:A on E3, a trailer was shown (some animations look decent, other look terrible: Peebee, cringeworthy dialogue with gun disarming animation etc. First critic of the facial animation, on which Bioware guy said: "it's just a glitch, no way it will be like this in final product". 4 years into development). 2016 Q4 - Few new trailers, but a lot of characters have their faces closed by helmet. 2017 Q1 - realease. Fucked up facial animations, damn ugly faces(it feels like they just reused human head mesh from ME3), a ton of bugs and glitches related to the skeleton/animations. If you compare end product and leaked footage from early 2016, you can clearly see that they are using different head meshes. Graphics and lighting were severly dumped down. A lot of npcs don't have any facial animation at all, except for occasional blink, for example: "my face is tired" Addison. There are A LOT of them like this further into the game, mostly unimportant sidequest related npcs.(5 years in development). Something happened between the end of 2015 and early 2016, something that forced Bioware Edmonton to step in, scrap head meshes for humans and asari (notice that neck seam in Cora sex scene? no way it was designed like that as a whole body. It looks like a head and body from different models stitched together in 5 minutes. 3 months until release and you show characters with faces obscured by helmet? It means faces were not done at that point, or were being redesigned). I imagine that mocap for facial animations was already done by the time Bioware Edmonton started working on ME:A. But they decided to scrap head mesh and face model anyway. (If you apply already existing mocaped facial animation on a different mesh with different weights, the results won't be as good as on the face that was originally used for mocap).
Froggy Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 EA is pretty much the worst thing any developer can put on their resume. With that in mind, I can't blame any developer from jumping ship the moment they heard so much as a rumor of EA taking over the company, because sticking around just means that you're going to be forced into slave labor conditions for less pay to churn out garbage that nobody wants. The process of a good game studio is basically this: 1) New studio makes a great game full of ambition and new ideas. 2) A few more games get produced and their fanbase grows to impressive levels. 3) EA swoops in and buys out the company. 4) Original staff quickly bail and are replaced by interns, scabs and whoever is willing to suck up to EA's all-powerful marketing department. 5) Next game released is complete rubbish, but morons buy it anyway because they can't see past the name of their beloved studio to the slime that is EA using their decapitated heads for a sock puppet. 6) Game makes shitloads of money of preorder idiocy and then later fifty worthless DLCs bought only by those to stupid to just give up hope. 7) Having fulfilled it's purpose, the empty shell of the company is slowly embalmed into another bland, lifeless EA shit factory until the last hold outs finally call it quits. 8) Once profits dip below the critical threshold, EA discards the withered husk and uses it's ill-gotten profits to buy up a new victim.

Never EA Would Never Release A Broken,Buggy,Trash Or Unfinished Game Even If It Cost Them Money . Kargrin Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Now to wait on the new quarter earnings report. If they don't mention anything significant..
D_ManXX2 Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 This thread really exploded. we are on page 8 and general part of mass effect is still on page 1.

KoolHndLuke Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 OK. Question. Lets say this was a Beth game. How much of this would an author be willing to work on it and how much could they do? I mean I think its becoming a pattern for devs to release unfinished, broken games. And I don't think there are enough people acknowledging this to make any difference. If this tanks (and it probably wont) then EA will just move on to something else. Would'nt the middle ground be mod support by the devs so mod authors can work on it?
Aria Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 They should just stop being greedy assholes, hire competent devs and let them finish their games. I dont even want to immagine what would happen when each of these cancers would start to "support" modders. The ideal coorporation business, release unfinished games, let people buy them and then fix them...no just no.

A bug-infested game that is in the Top 10 List the Broken games! You play surely not Vanilla and for this reason is Bethesda, not a bit better than EA and BioWare. I would even say They are still much worse, Skyrim appeared in 2011, that next The Elder Scroll does not appear before 2020, rather still later!

Yep, got myself hyped like everyone and bought it, which was also the last time. Well my post was aiming at what Bethesda is doing right now, which is why i said if EA caught on the idea of doing the same, that would be another step down for games. That wouldnt probably happen though, since only Bethesda seems to have this sacred pass of "its fine modders will fix it".
