HDT SMP for SSE?

I tried Improved Camera, albeit several alphas/betas ago, and the 1P views were very wonky and unreliable. Plus, the mod froze my game twice. I didn't give it a third opportunity.

I also tried JoP, which I found to be as wonky in SSE as it was in Oldrim.

Like EC, Improved Camera (apparently) uses vanilla 1P views and tries to extend the max "look down" angle to simulate an actual 1P view., but this just looks weird. For example, my "sneaking with weapons ready" stance with dual daggers involves one dagger high over my head and the other low (around waist level) and out to my side a bit. Only IFPV depicts this in 1P view- Enhanced Camera, JoP and Improved camera all depict the vanilla dual-daggers 1P view- daggers held in front of my face about a foot apart, pointing up and forward like the horns of an angry bull rampaging through the streets (and stupid tourists with a death wish) in Pamplona. This and other discrepancies between 3P view and 1P view is what kills Improved Camera and JoP for me.

One of the reasons I liked IFPV so very, very much in Oldrim *sob* was that it was rock-solid, stone reliable, did not crash or slow down my game and produced 1P views that accurately matched the 3P. Sadly, that's not the case with the SSE version of IFPV, and Bethesda's anti-mods strategy has borne fruit: meh321 has thrown in the towel, citing Bethesda's war against SKSE64 as the reason.

So from where I'm sitting, it seems as though we simply are not going to get a good 1P view mod for SSE, at least not for some time.

The developer of Improved Camera made the .NET Framework mod for SSE. He said on the Reddit thread that he is working on a 2.x update of Improved Camera that will use his .NET Framework mod instead... He plans to continue to support and develop the 1.x versions (SKSE) separately though. He hasn't said much but he is asking for feature requests on that Reddit thread.

The new betas are much more stable and you can change the 1P setting in the ini to use 3rd person body stuff I think. Really, I just asked because I'm always looking for the best tech out there and IC is the only thing that gets at least 70% of the job done. You even have 1st person body physics with CBPC. Not sure why body physics don't work with SMP on IC though. JoP had garbage compatibility and IPV had bad issues with 360 animations and development seemed dead in the water after January.

in le, if you enable first person shadows it also enables the first body physics for pe/smp for enhanced camera

bFirstPersonShadows is broken. (always on)

Seems like theres more broken about that parameter

this was the best i could tweak, maybe i can fix the camera position for head node

Thanks for sharing this. I'm on my way to install Improved Camera Beta 4 and I'll start with your ini. :classic_biggrin:

Really odd- I added two Feature Requests and then went off browsing something else, when I came back to that tab my comment had vanished. Not sure why since it violated no rules.

hey guys i have some question.

I installed UUNP Body (Gromilla SMP UUNPVaginaN), but the Vagina Physics was not pretty.

Did I take the wrong installation procedure?

How bout you start tweaking the margin values for sos xmls ,not to speak about sos size. Or you are one of those spoon guys?

from which mod it is?

It's by far not the best rigged hair out there, it's only the best he could find for "download-install-ready"-"plz share linkkk". If you want good rigged hairs with 200+ nodes get dints hair pack and write your xmls or wait a few days for our group to release the smp patch we are working on. Few hairs and some edits remaining.

I figured out why no link is being provided for Dint's Hair Pack- it's paywalled. :classic_angry:

Which version of Scarlet Dawn is this, Kokan? I don't think mine has the brass detail around the trousers laces...

It says it's not being publicly shared and then gives a Patreon link... it's at the bottom of the image I posted, off of YouTube...

Great news, I wanted to start porting myself, but there is no time. I wonder how "heavy" get ported nifs with SMP physics? 10-46 mb one orig nif file. My NifScope even slows down when working with them :)

On some nifs we can't provide hair to hair collision since its too much (some are made of 10+ shapes and the few we needed to split are even more). For physics simulation, there's not much performance impact at all. But yea, it won't look that bad on said meshes, for example hair17 you won't even notice the hairs clip through each other. We equipped every nif with collision shapes and by default they will be used together with the <private> tag to simulate collisions but the pack will also contain a .bat file to switch to <public> to have real femalebody collision. But I won't provide support or any form of help for setting your xmls up (squished breast etc). Racemenu hairs have been removed but the color of the wigs can still he changed there if equipped.

Testing stuff at 2080Ti/i7 8700k/DDR4-4000/970Pro m.2 no noticeable frame drop at all. Since SSE Smp only utilizes CPU I can imagine that people running low core cpus like below 3ghz may notice it. But I can't provide support for dusty old hardware. Also I can't say anything about performance on AMD cpus, it should've increased after the latest smp update.

in fact, the hdt ghostblade was done few years ago but was overlooked by the community. i never bothered to make it work with smp but it is a great workaround for pe on weapons.

Honestly, I don’t remember where I found this version of the sword (2b wepon), but it was made on scripts (unfortunately there are no sources) and an intermediate block of “armor”-weaponFX that “hooks” the weapon to the skeleton of the body and transfers control to physics. I'm trying to get the FX effects on the skeleton nodes to work, for example, here is a simple fire effect on NibillboardNode. But while it’s not getting connected directly to the skeleton, I need to study this issue in more detail.
And where to find this hdt ghostblade? It is interesting to see.

I found.
