That attitude is a great way to end up in a never ending series of civil wars.

If you change the lemon juice to lime juice that's a Cuba libre. Or I guess a diet Cuba libre. What is it if it's lemon juice? And what if you make it with Coke Zero?

Rum and coke is GOATed.

If you use all the ingredients that I used, then you get what’s called a “Cuba Libre, but I didn’t feel like going to the store.”

What, is Edge Lord a synonym for National Socialist now?

I have no idea who that is.

You don't know what an Edge Lord is?

Seems to be heading that direction regardless.

I knew an Edge Lord once.

I think I met them on the internet, yes.

I've also met a few IRL in table top RPGs. The thing about people role playing edge lords, or any cliche like the dumb barbarian or absent-minded wizard, in a game is that it can be done well and I've seen it done well. But it so rarely is. Most people who play the cliches play them in the most cliche way possible. My theory is that they think they're breaking new ground and have no idea how boring they are. If they did they wouldn't do it.

They admitted as much, so I took them at their word.

If someone on the internet says "I'm an edge lord," I'll take them at their word. If they say "I'm a multi-billionaire," I'm not going to believe them. But who cares, really? I'm never going to chat with them in voice, let alone video, let alone meet them in person.

I was just denied access to this site when I tried to log in without making use of a VPN. I am left to wonder if it was the rules themselves that caused it to be blocked. Telling people to not do a thing can be seen as an endorsement to those who lack the capacity or the desire to engage with the basic concept of Context.

I like you. However talking ad infinitum doesn’t always work even for you.

What’s that phrase? “If someone tells you they’re an asshole, believe them.”

Yeah, adhering to that phrase has helped out quite a bit.

On a sort of side note to that, some people seem to think that if they admit to being an asshole or a dick or a greedy turd, it's OK, because they've admitted it. Like it's not their fault. "Hey, I told you I'm a lying, back-stabbing son of a bitch."

Kind of like insulting someone and then adding j/k or lol at the end.

That only works in movies.

Which one?

That is a good question. I don't know.

I know some of the villains did say they were going to kill the hero of Princess Bride but ended up being buddies later.
