Hey man, I didn't say anything about sexual attraction.. 👀

No, I did.

I'm strictly talking about women being hotter than men. Ain't nothing sexual about that

And some people say sarcasm doesn't work in writing.

Usually it is the other way around. Where women are colder thus are more likely to wear sweaters and stuff.😋

I've had more than one job where I was in a meeting and if the men found the room comfortable the women were too cold and if the women found the room comfortable the men were too warm.

To be fair to porkybork there are people who don't experience sexual attraction but do experience other forms of attraction.

I can't blame chocula for mentioning sexual attraction either as that is one form of attraction.

Let's kiss and make up okay? Let's try and get along.

Wheel of Time got cancelled.

Diabolically poor writing; laughable wardrobe especially armour; risible fight and battle scenes; made up things that didn't need to be in there and book things that weren't in there but needed to be; naff special effects; and a host of other problems.

A lot of good actors in there but they were working with crap scripts and direction.

Real as fuck. I tell a lot of people that I run hot, but that's not because men are hotter than women, I just happen to be a walking human furnace.

If I say a woman is "hot" I mean she's sexually  attractive. Others might not mean that. I would not use the word "hot" to describe a person whom I found attractive in a way other than sexually. Others might do that. And if another heterosexual man said to me "That woman is hot" I would assume he meant sexually. If a gay man said it to me, I would assume he meant he thought she was a woman straight guys would find sexually attractive. I might be incorrect in either or both of those assumptions. But there aren't that many contexts where I would ask someone to explain what they meant by calling another person "hot." And me and my assumptions would go on their merry way.

I probably shouldn't have butted in but even so I wanted you two to kiss because I horny.

I think porkybork has an interesting take. I remember hearing that there is statistically more lesbians than gay men(Citation Needed). What I think you are suggesting is that the existence of gay men proves that hotness is a matter of opinion . That is a valid point and I should have mentioned that earlier.

"Hot" is clearly a matter of opinion. Takes some time to think of adjectives with objective definitions. Even words for color, which we might be inclined to think of as pretty objective, have subjectivity.

Adjectives are easy at the extremes, hard in the middle. The middle is where disputes lie, in all areas of life.

According to this page at Pew Research, in 2021 there were 44 million more men than women in the world. Assuming the ratio of hetero- to homosexual is the same for both biological genders, that leads to the conclusion that there are more gay men in the world than lesbians.

Is it wrong to wish pain upon others if the others in question wants to hurt innocents? That was a rhetorical question. I was shown a recent video of an arrogant Nazi asshole getting his ass kicked by a bunch of people at a punk concert in Vegas. This was very much a fuck around and find out moment. Freedom of Speech does not mean freedom from consequences. You do not wear Nazi shit at a punk concert. Duh! Nazis are horrible people that do not deserve sympathy. I’d say the guy got off easy but I wouldn’t be surprised if he is found dead in a ditch somewhere.

I said it is morally okay to punch Nazis in the past. This is still true.

Going to a punk show while wearing Nazi gear is like going into shark infested water with steaks tied to your waistband; you’re stupid for doing that and you deserve no sympathy when the predictable outcome comes to fruition.

> I agree with you and let me add one more thing, I believe it is just: not only nazis, but all nationalists and racist deserve the same. For instance, both sides, Croats and Serbs, are hurt because of the national war at the beginning of '90's. Now, imagine that a Serb comes to our country wearing chetnik symbols and uniforms and that a Croat comes to Serbia wearing ustasha symbols and uniform. It is nothing but provocation. So, nobody blames those who would beat them to death.

In the U.S., free speech has nothing to do with what happens at a private event. The First Amendment applies to the gov't. State constitutions might extend free speech rights to non-gov't settings.

The person in Nazi gear was guilty of bad judgment, but the people who beat him were guilty of battery. If their behavior was justified, then we could argue that it's justified to inflict physical harm on anyone whose views we disagree with. And then what, we live in a society where "I don't like the cut of your jib, so I'm gonna beat the shit out of you" is OK? Sounds pretty shitty to me.

Bottom line, does someone deserve to be beaten for showing bad judgment? Not is it unsurprising, but is it deserved? Extend this to not wearing a seat belt. If someone dies in a collision because they were not wearing a seat belt, it's not surprising, but is it deserved? I say no. In all these cases.

As for the guy being a Nazi, does anyone know if he was actually a Nazi? I use a Pride flag dice tray when I play tabletop role playing games, but I'm not LGBTQIA. So then what? it's OK to beat someone because he's probably a Nazi?

You mistake morals for law. Law can easily be bought while morals at least according to Merriam Webster is: "of or relating to principles of right and wrong in behavior".

You do not look like a Nazi unless you are going to start shit. Also I did mention he was an arrogant asshole did I not?

You cannot compare the LGBT+ community to Nazis. It is like comparing apples to shit(although shit is less disgusting than Nazis). The LGBT+ community is trying to spread love while Nazis are trying to spread hate. Nazis are bad period.

You mistake "objective" for "subjective," i.e., what's "right" and what's "wrong."

One does not have to be a Nazi to look like one. One does not have to be a Nazi to want to start shit. No one was comparing LGBTQ to Nazis. You saw "LGBTQ" and "Nazi" in proximity, stopped processing and jumped to a conclusion.

So again, are you saying it's OK for someone you think is probably a Nazi to get beaten up? Was the guy asking for it? No doubt. Does that mean it was OK, morally or legally, to beat him up? No. If we say yes, who gets to make the call that it's OK to beat people up because we don't like their politics, beliefs or clothes? Would it be whoever sees what they don't like and decides to beat the shit out of the transgressor?

If you are going to a punk concert wearing Nazi shit you are a Nazi. We've been over this before.

It sounds like you are the one jumping to conclusions. Most people don't care if you have a gay dice tray. Nazis on the other hand are the worst people in history and no decent person wants to be associated with them.

Not probably. Definitely.

I'd say ask your local government but since every country's government have legally done terrible things in the past I don't think I can give you a clear cut answer.

Anyway it is morally okay to punch Nazis.

Do you use your mind-reading powers for good or evil? Again, you don't know for sure whether he was actually a Nazi or not. He was certainly asking for trouble, we can agree on that.

If it's morally OK (from your perspective) to punch a probable Nazi, then it must also be morally OK (from their perspective) for someone to punch you because you are (or they think you are) whatever they don't like.

This discussion is going to go nowhere. My part is done before some dickhead jumps in and accuses me of arguing simply for the sake of arguing. Or of defending Nazis.

That attitude is a great way to end up in a never ending series of civil wars.
