Fuck it! I'm just going to call it a curved sword. I don't want to get canceled by Elon X Twitter for this.

I was at the gym earlier today working the bench press, and I accidentally did something really stupid. I'm trying to work my way up to benching 225 lbs with reps, but I've been stuck at 185 lbs for a while. Today, I was feeling myself, so I figured, "fuck it, I'll go for 205 lbs." Loaded up the weights, laid my ass down, and started cranking out a few reps. Immediately, something felt off. It was like the bar was sliding off to the side. I don't know why, but I didn't feel like resetting, so I just did as many reps as I could before I needed to stop. After my set, I checked out the bar to see what the fuck was going on. Turns out, instead of putting a 45 and 35 lb weight on each side, I put a 45 and 35 lb weight on one side and a 45 and 25 lb on the other. I don't know how the hell I managed to do that, but I'm glad I didn't hurt myself in the process. My left pec got a hell of a workout though lol.

There's this older woman at my work that I sort of developed an attraction to. Long story short, she's not interested, I'm fine with this, but unfortunately I also have ADHD, and with that comes things like feeling emotions more strongly and obsessive compulsive behaviors, you can probably see why that would be an issue. So for a while, she acts cold towards me, then she seems to warm up to me again and I think "Oh, this is nice, maybe we can be friends or something", so I text her a few times (because I got her number much earlier, I never sent anything inappropriate to her, mind you), and she doesn't reply, then a few weeks or a month later, after she continues to be nice to me, I send her another message, after work to tell her that I will be out and that it would be helpful if she could let my immediate supervisor know, she doesn't even read what I wrote, she just sends me a message that says "I have nothing to say to you", which is pretty cold, I just assumed she must be in a bad mood or something. Every time after that though, when I have seen her at work, she averts her gaze, and just generally ignores me or threats me coldly.

This is why I think most women are kind of crazy. They don't state why they want directly, then send mixed signals, and get mad when you can't "figure it out". As a side, I think I can kind of see how this woman ended up as a single mother, I mean if this is just a sample of her behavior.

Do you know what the shittiest thing about making bad decisions is?... The shittiest thing about making bad decisions is, sometimes, you don't even realize they're bad, until after you've made them. Sometimes, it isn't that big of a deal, but then there are other times when, it's like finding yourself strapped into a rollercoaster that goes through the burning, stinking, lakes of Hell, I mean you can SEE the horrible path that lies ahead of you, at that point... and not only do you really hate Hell, but you are also terrified of rollercoasters, but by then it's too late, "no take backsies", you are strapped in. That is the shittiest thing about making bad decisions.

No, I'm not thinking of myself in this case, though I have made plenty of bad decisions.

The drama over the upcoming Odysseus film continues to mount. Both sides talking absolute bollocks for the most part but credit where credit is due - whoever came up with 'Helen of DeTroyt' deserves a round of applause.

The film makers missed a trick there as Sparta at that time was a matrilineal society (Menalaus is the king because he married Helen) but they seem to have preferred the DEI rage-bait route and eschewed the wimmin of power route.

Odysseus' wife Penelope was also a Spartan. Coincidence? 🤔

People are complaining about DEI still? I thought that was gotten rid of a long time ago. Wow people are such babies.

Fascinating fact #45745.

The Wild West only lasted for 30 years and was so recent that England had an organised football league for the last seven years of it. So cowboys were around when Everton was winning the league.

I mean the U.S. Civil War ended in 1865, and there were old timers who fought in it telling their combat stories into the early 50s. Does anyone here have grandparents of parents that were born or lived through the 50?...

So I've noticed something. I have an ADHD brain, and that comes with things like more intense emotions, obsessive compulsive behaviors, high anxiety, and so on. Well, most women (and girls when I was younger) seemed to become annoyed by me pretty early, and it is because of the way I would act around them when I fancied them to any degree. I think what has been going on is, since my brain craves dopamine to function properly, because it is deficient, and seeing, touching, or talking to a woman (or girl, when I was younger) that I liked was a dopamine hit, my obsessive compulsive behaviors have sort of been taking over, basically  my brain is like "yeah, this is a good source of what I need to function! MORE!!!1! I NEED MORE, DAMN IT!!!1!!", and you can probably guess what kind of reactiona that got me... The part that sucks about this for me is, it's not like it's something I ever had any real control over, and it has always felt like that has been held against me like I DO have a lot of control over it. The end result of this has caused me to become kind of jaded towards my existence and the society I live in to a degree, especially women, on occasion.

Sorry, I'm not sure what your point is. 🤔

I was born in 1957. 😃

You are not alone in this.

I used to DM while high a lot back when I was super into smoking weed (I'm from California, it's legal). It's fun in the moment, but it was damn near impossible to keep track of what happened during games. It got to a point where I started giving out inspiration points to my players if they took notes for me.

I had a dm that gave inspriation for session notes every week. Didn't matter if more than one person took them either. Then they would use those notes to help plan the next session and keep track of the various possible sidequest that might have came up. It worked well.

Later they explained when asked (by me) why give so many inspirations out. They stated that it didn't matter and if they knew there were a lot they would make some parts of the session harder and more than likely cause the inspirations to be used. both making the game challenging and fun while covering the notes. It was hard to argue with fellow players that something did or didn't happen with weekly notes from everyone.

I take notes for all of the games I play. Doesn't matter whether it is a full campaign or a one shot. Problem is I only write down the pointless stuff but I'm sure the DM must have something to use it for.

What perplexes me is there is always this joke usually with hetero couples where the wife is the ball and chain. Just say you want a dommy mommy already. Yeesh! Also don't forget to establish a safeword. Communication is key.
