Bad Dog Posted October 7, 2016 Author Posted October 7, 2016 @blaze, thx, that connects some of the dots. I knew there had to be an animation index but I didn't know where. And it's race-specific, which is what I want. @boo, mebbe so except I don't know how to swap skeletons on the fly and the thought of trying to move bones with a script makes me want to pull my fingernails out. @wardrake, wtf? If you're not running a mod manager, yeah, reinstall skyrim. Doesn't take that long. Then figure out how to use MO. I wouldn't even trust Nexus Mod Manager with this one.
wardrake Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 i am running a mod manager. nexus mod manager in fact. I found a file I missed from your complete khajiit (BDDigifeet.esp). Once removed the khajiit returned. I'm such noob for not checking for leftover esp's, but I wasn't expecting to find any left in my skyrim folder. Btw uninstalling all aspects of this mod from nexus mod manager does not remove all files from the skyrim folder. I am enjoying how this is progressing, I use http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51232/? for my argonians.
Blaze69 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 @blaze, thx, that connects some of the dots. I knew there had to be an animation index but I didn't know where. And it's race-specific, which is what I want. Well, I've thought about this, and I think there may be a problem with this approach. The .hkx file gets rebuilt and overwritten every time you run the FNIS Generator, and the .hkt would also need to be rebuilt so animations work properly. PCEA 1 got around this by having an option built into FNIS that also updates the .hkt while keeping the custom paths. The thing is, your custom .hkt would also need to be rebuilt as well, so unless a patch for this mod is built into FNIS itself just like PCEA 1 was (which IMO is possible but highly unlikely), your "custom .hkx/.hkx file" method would not be feasible. Now, I guess digitigrade anims would look kinda weird on non-digitigrade characters, and that's why you want anims to be race-specifc. From what I know, you have two options: Pack the modified anims as straightforward vanilla replacers and offer them as an optional download. Then you just state in the description the fact that they may look wonky on non-furries/argonians, and that's it. No scripting, no mod editing, just plain animating. Since the offending anims are sneaking and sitting ones, it wouldn't be that much of a problem, because the only character that actually sneaks is the Player, except for certain NPC's in scripted scenes (all of said NPC's are furries now IIRC). Sitting is more widespread, but I'd rather see 90% (furries/argonians) of the sitting NPC's looking good and 10% (anything else) looking a little weird than what we have now, which is the other way around. Use the "Alternate Animations" feature added in one of the latest versions of FNIS, just like XPMSE does for the weapon equip animations, DD does for armbinders and bound combat, or PCEA2 does for custom player anims. This has the advantage of being fully FNIS-compatible while still race-specific (sort of). You would have to use scripts to point to the alternate anims though, and while doing it for the player is probably easy, doing it on NPC's would probably require a cloak spell checking NPC races to find the ones needing new anims. I'd say the best is just to go simple and pick Option 1, but then again, I'm not really an expert on this stuff, so maybe Option 2 is easier to implement than I think, or even the FNIS patch can be built. Who knows? Anyway, your best bet is to contact Fore for advice and see how it goes.
Bad Dog Posted October 7, 2016 Author Posted October 7, 2016 @wardrake, as I said I wouldn't trust NMM on this. The way NMM works is by carefully tracking what gets put into the Skyrim folder and trying to undo the changes when you uninstall a mod. Works fine in in simple situations, and even when there are multiple mods involved as long as you uninstall them in reverse order that you installed them. But when you uninstall multiple mods in a different order, it's highly likely to get confused. Since YA is a collection of mods, it's likely to create a situation NMM can't handle. MO is better for that. @Blaze I'll check with Fore. Yes, option 1 is probably feasible. The only normal legs in furry skyrim right now are the orcs, and besides I bet I can come up with something that looks reasonable for both. For sitting the orcs might sprawl a bit and for sneaking they might clip the floor a bit, but a compromise might be reached. Seems to me that if I come up with a race-specific behavior graph file that would mean that FNIS wouldn't touch it at all... so no new anims for that race. But I'll check with Fore.
forestnashoba Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 i can't seem to figure out why some of my races are showing with no junk. trouble shooted sos, and all the required addons. but for some reason only a few races show right and others don't. like, imperial, breton, and redguard all show correctly but the others dont..... :\ any suggestions where i should start looking. i fixed my issue :/ for some reason old SoS files were not updating when i was updating. so i just cleanwiped mmo and reinstalled sos. problem solved.
Rockat Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Just FYI for anyone using Floppy SOS with this-make sure its above 2.2 or you will see CTD or corrupted saves (specifically for me in Mistveil keep, dragon reach and the bannered mare)

Bad Dog Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Dragon*REACH*, yes? Move revealing armors up before the furry mods, as per the OP. Move YA and YAW&C before LAL ... screw it. Go back and read the load order in the OP and do that exactly. Put your other mods before or after but make sure those mods are in that order.

Guest Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Hey there. I've tried quite a few times from scratch, but can't seem to figure this out. I can get everything working fine except they always have unerect sheaths. Is there something I can look at to figure out how to get erections/arousal going so they stop humping with sheaths?

Have you installed this: SKSE Register Custom Animation Events? If everything else is working fine except for the schlongs not being swapped for the "erect" variants whenever they are supposed to, chances are you forgot to install it. Note that it is NOT SKSE, it's a plugin for SKSE.

frear Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Hi Blaze69, did you ever find out what was causing the 'grey faces' bug you mentioned a few pages ago? I'm seeing the same issue on some of the bandits or generic NPC's.
Blaze69 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Hi Blaze69, did you ever find out what was causing the 'grey faces' bug you mentioned a few pages ago? I'm seeing the same issue on some of the bandits or generic NPC's.Nope, not a clue of what causes it, though it is true I didn't investigate much further because generic NPC's are not that important (hence the "generic"), and bandits are going to end up dead pretty soon, so I didn't care about it that much. Exported FaceGen works mostly fine on normal NPC's, so the only reason I could think of is that they are actually not supposed to have FaceGen. You know, because they are generic and the same NPC entry may be a Nord female once and a Redguard male later on. When building Facegen, I just selected ALL of the NPC's of the races changed into furries and exported them, so maybe I also exported data for bandits/generic characters when I shouldn't. Anyway, I would have to manually delete FaceGen data for generic characters and then check if they still have that bug afterwards, so while I don't rule out the possibility straightaway, I'd say that bug is here to stay. TL;DR: No idea what causes it, no fix yet, probably no fix at all.
Newbie2015 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Hi. Great mod. Thank you for your work. Finally i can play a male character! I have a little problem: looks like all "old people race" male/female and "redguard" females have body from your mod but faces from vanilla game Any idea how can i fix this? Im using UNP body and Yiffy Age of Skyrim 0.5. and i followed load order instructions.

You should make a clean install of the current version of Yiffy Age (0.8), your version is from before that bug was fixed and it's severely outdated.

Bad Dog Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 Okay, freaks and furries. Got a new version going up (V0.09, going up in a minnit). This one has the new argonian feet, just so you can have a look. They still need refinement--they are a bit spindly to my eye. But they are getting there, I think. This version also has a few more helmets, including the heavy dawnstar helmet. A few cleanups to the panther texture too. I also made a consolidated version that rolls up all my mods. I don't really recommend you run it on a save you care about, but I did try it and it didn't crash and burn. In fact, SOS told me it wasn't happy and was resetting itself--which might be a good thing, if you have leftover human schlongs on NPC's and don't want them. SOS did seem to re-schlongify everybody properly. I'm also uploading Yiffy Age as a standalone for people who want to upgrade with minimal impact. If you get the consolidated version you want the new version of the wet & cold patch too--this one doesn't claim yiffy age as a master. In animation news, I can now import a sneak animation and make a modification to it. Unfortunately, when I run it in game, the toon collapses into a sad little heap. I think something about bone rotations, but I don't know. Also I don't really know how to animate the tail yet. Skyrim treats the tail like an entirely separate thing--gets its own animation file and everything. Maybe if I export just the tail bones it will work... maybe not. But if it does, maybe I'll fix a bunch of the sex animations to move the tail out of the way. Have fun. Let me know what's broken.
Voldearag Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 That's delightful news, wonderful news. You make everything so pretty, I appreciate each of the directions you seem to be heading in, consolidation and tailimation. Thanks for the update, now I look forward to Blaze69's new helpful observations.
Guest Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Back with another minor problem. It seems that the revealing armor for the Imperials doesn't behave well with me when using sheaths, yet the Stormcloak armor seems to work fine. I've disabled all the human schlongs and it seems like Imperial armor is the only thing refusing to behave. I'd have assumed they'd be working since they're from the same mod, and I must have messed up somewhere. Any suggestions? Okay, freaks and furries. Got a new version going up (V0.09, going up in a minnit). Have fun. Let me know what's broken. Cheers again for another awesome, anything to consolidate always makes things much more smooth.
Bad Dog Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 There are a few of the Revealing Armors that don't have the keyword set right. Target the NPC and use the SOS MCM "player/npc" menu to see. There's a checkbox for revealing or not. If it's not, you can set it there.
Blaze69 Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I also made a consolidated version that rolls up all my mods. I don't really recommend you run it on a save you care about, but I did try it and it didn't crash and burn. SOS did seem to re-schlongify everybody properly. I'm also uploading Yiffy Age as a standalone for people who want to upgrade with minimal impact. I have tried the consolidated version for a little bit, and everything seems to work fine, so I'd say we're golden. I won't be able to throughly test it for a while, though. RL has been a bitch with the lack of free time as of recently . I would have to edit my addons (Seamless Orc Textures and Playable Dremora) to make them work with the new version, though. That will come later on. Sorry about that. In other news, I'm back with my not-100%-sure-about-it-but-still-helpful-enough-(I-hope) coments! Let's get to it: In animation news, I can now import a sneak animation and make a modification to it. IIRC, tails work exactly the same way SOS Schlongs work (to be chronologically honest, SOS Schlongs work just like tails do, 'cause tails were there before). Anyway, tails are kept in "auxbones" and have their own animations, which are played whenever a certain regular anim is played. So, when you character sneaks, the tail plays its own tail sneaking anims. Whenever a "regular" anim that is not linked to a tail anim is played, the tail keeps the default idle anim, and so on. AFAIK the "regular anim to tail anim" linking is done in the "AuxBones\Tail\TailProject.hkx" file, so it would be technically possible to create new tail anims and link them with SL anims so the tail position can be customized for each SL anim, which would be great. I think B3lisario actually posted a test file that included tail anims for some SL anims through the method I mentioned above, so it is a possibility. It was a long time ago, so unfortunately I can't find the file. One thing to consider is that 0Sex does include some kind of animating for the schlong, though I'm not sure if it is actually included in the regular animation file or it just calls for the regular SOS anims at the right times. I guess the former would make it easier (open SL anim, fix tail, export, done), but as I said, I'm not sure it works like that. You could look into it. Thanks for the update, now I look forward to Blaze69's new helpful observations. Well, thank you. I do try to be helpful .
Zebgo Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Heya, wanted to open up by saying that I am loving the mod and really appreciating the work you're putting into it. As for the reason I'm making this post: I was having severe problems with Redguard Females and Grannies not using the proper head (PC head options seem to work fine). After spending hours installing/reinstalling and reordering mods I finally figured out that after one of my clean reinstalls I did not download the very important facegen file listed in the installation instructions (woops silly me ;p) but that didn't help either... What did help was renaming it into from "YiffyAge.bsa" to "YiffyAgeConsolidated.bsa" so if anyone is having the head issue with the new consolidated version of the mod this should hopefully fix it. Cheers!
Bad Dog Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 Crap. Thanks for the catch. I'll update soon. Acutally, the facegen files should be part of the consolidated mod, I think. And Blaze, I thought I rolled the Dremora and orc textures in already.
