So to my understanding the new version doesn't work for anyone. Anyone have a link to a previous version?

 

Where in the world did you get that understanding from??

I consider the current release extremely stable, and use it in all my playthroughs - along with HSH.

Care to quote some facts to back up your "Understanding"?

Read this post and expand the spoiler.  The issue may be the bootup spell and the solution is contained within the post if this happens to be similar to your issue..

Someone here can probably help; we have seen almost every error there is.

Meanwhile do the usual:

!) Verify you have every prerequisite listed in the description

2) Verify you never ran any other version of PAHE in this save

3) Verify FNIS ran clean; no errors or warnings

4) Run LOOT

5) Can't hurt to run PAHE last in your load order

Thanks, looks like I just needed a new save.

 

 

and that wraps up about 99% of all problems

I've ran a few tests on clean saves, and I haven't encountered CTD on save when using PAHE without "leveledactorbase" turned on (but I will have the frozen bandit bug, not naked, but frozen in T-pose). Any thoughts?

 

My guess would be that using "leveledactorbase" is creating too much data that must be written when saving, and if I never turn it on I can save without problems.

 

On a related note, anybody known what might cause the frozen bandit bug? The bandits are not naked, but they are frozen in T-pose and using resurrect or recycleactor in the console does not fix it.

Typically, the best solution for this kind of issue is to use crash fixes http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/2551-crash-fixes/

and set the OSallocators to 1 in their INI file.  Also you want the skse preloader that they recommend.  Reas their front page instructions carefully.

 

The usual reason for crashing on saves is due to going over the skyrim string limit.  "Crash fixes" resolves the bethesda string limit by allowing you to use memory allocation from your operating system.

i can how ever tell you that a t-pose usually indicates you have animation issues. a bit odd that you're getting it on those actors in particular and not on all bandits or all actors even...never heard of an animation bug targeted towards clones of slaves. running fnis and checking it for errors usually fixes animation issues

 

i do recall some skeleton mesh issues that would cause co-save bloat and ctd if i didn't save from console before saving the game...the latest versions of xpmse also include default animation replacements, it sounds very likely that you have some issues with your xpmse and/or its requirements including but not limited to fnis---verify also that the version of fnis you're running is compatible with the version of xpmse you're running or vice-versa

It is indeed very odd. The T-pose only appears on the respawned bandits that have been previously captured by this mod, everyone else seems fine. I double checked my FNIS and xpmse installs and they seem to be installed properly, maybe I'll try the FNIS beta later.

 

For most people, do you recommend turning on "leveledactorbase"? Or is it too risky to recommend for most people?

Already using crash fixes, but thanks for the input! I've also tried using crash fixes with ENBboost. Neither option seems to help with my CTD on save issue. So far, the only thing that seems to prevent CTD on save (for me at least) is to leave "leveledactorbase" turned off.

for most people i recommend using it, but if you're getting t-pose frozen actors on respawns, who knows what you're getting on the leveled actor equivalents to cause ctd

 

post your papyrus log for further review and check your xpmse mcm for errors

it changed my game,

first i just installed it so i dont need to kill all those surrendering bandits,

but there is so much more this mod has to offer, especially in combination with "Home sweet Home"

and best of it all: its pretty stable, fits effortlessly into my gameflow and is easy to use

even my wicked mod combinations cant break it

Pahe works fine so far..  the warning was for Zaz extention pack.. but I can verify that it is working now as I am using it.  The one for Tara ultimate furniture pack would be obsolete.

 

So basically...   in testing, PAHE has no issues that I can see.  All works as it did before.

I will start by stating that I do not know if the problem I am having is caused by  PAHE but since it only happens when I do a capture I thought I should start here. To explain I have been using PAHE for several weeks and it has worked great. But a couple of days ago it began to malfunction. As soon as I made a capture I could no longer use my mouse to draw a weapon. I could hit tab and use the mouse to click on menu items but as soon as I re-entered the game the mouse would not function except to change directions. Also, on the keyboard certain keys would not work; for instance I could not shout to attack, nor could I go to my menu of shouts/weapons and add or change weapons. Otherwise the game still functioned OK.  The keys for movement still worked, I could fast travel, I could call up the NPC menus and select options, etc. If I reverted to a save prior to when I captured the NPC everything worked again. I reverted a half dozen times trying to understand what could be wrong with no luck. I haven't a clue what the problem could be. Have you ever had an issue such as this reported before?  Also, is there any other info I could provide that might assist in identifying the problem? Any help or advice or troubleshooting suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yours is not the normal experience. I have probably 100 hours on PAHE with no such problems.

Start by uninstalling any mod you installed after PAHE.

Revert to a save before this problem showed up.

Run Save Game Cleaner on that save.

You might mention how you install mods. If you install manually, or ever used a previous version of PAH, you may need to manually delete all traces

of the old installs in your Skyrim directory.

Your load list (between "Spoiler tags") might garner some comments too.

FYI anyone, I been using PAHE with several other mods and testing it all the time. the only thing that I have issue with that slaves still have a "full respect" dialog issues even after that are 100%. but that is something minor in my opinion while everything else works great.
...so far everything has been pretty solid ;) ....



Most of my earlier issues were old files that did not auto delete when cleaning out some other mod older versions. I had to manually clean my build of them.

but I look forward to when @CliftonJD gets free time in the future to do more, or wants some new stuff tested.

i "think" the respect issue is not enough dialogs to meet all the conditions so at some point i may have to add more there

I PAHE captured a dark elf mage attacking me. I promptly raped her as my slave. Fast forward through pregnancy and she bore a dark elf infant. Problem solved! I just tested a beta of the next release.
