As a former employee in QA and development you would probably know better than anyone that the missing hooks for complex animation can

really hamper any forward progress in the creation of Sextec. And that saying SexTec feels like "vaporware" isn't genuinely very helpful at all, in

fact its detrimental, as the few who are putting in hours of their personal time without pay to create the mod are having a difficult enough time

without the negative commentary. But since you were a former employee in development how about you get in touch with some of these modders

creating Sextec and aid in making a merry Christmas for all since you're being so generous? I'm surprised you didn't offer your expertise before

now! They could have had Sextec finished if you would have said so sooner.

You aren't seriously expecting something by Christmas, are you?

Nobody thought to make any animations..........That's at least a year.

:/

Sarcasm my dear boy sarcasm. I highly doubt that individual was even with Bethesda.

first please for give my spelling as i am dislexect that said I have been following this Topic for a why'll now and all i can say is this people please be pachient. If it take anther Year or two to make Sex-Tec and the mods that go with it so be it becase I am shur that if and when Sex-Tec dos come out it will be well worth the wait. Hell their are people still playing The Originel Skyrim and New Vegas my self included and look at how old those games are and they are still actively being played and modded. All so personelly untill a script extender comes out for Skyrim SE I would not even worry about makeing a SexLab Se. All so lets not forget Mass Effect Andromeda is comeing out soon so a lot of gamers are going to take a break from Fallout and Skyrim and start replaying the Originel Mass Effect Trilagy in preperation for Andromeda my self included and i dont plan on playing Fallout 4 again untill after I am done with Skyrim New Vegas and Mass Effect and I sugest every one ells do the same and hop fully by then Sex-Tec will be up and running. All so insteed of complaing about Sex-tec takeing so long why not make some sugestiens as to what type mods would you like to see go with it like myabe Sex-Tec Being Female or Sex-Tec Breeder or what ever.

both F4se and SKSE64 are a way off. behippo recently spoke about the work he will have to do for SKSE64 on beth forums and its a huge list of things and by his way of writing it looks like it will take some time. this is for skse when they know what function they have to check and add, F4se is completely different they have to decode many things first from fallout 4 and currently F4se is not moving anywhere. so forget about F4se and sextec for some time let f4se team to do their research first.

Well it's not as if we don't already have a Skyrim so they should put all there effort into only F4SE as it was started on first!

now im no programmer (mostly just tinker with 3d modeling in my spare time)  but surely the coding for a new "MCM" cant be that difficult that we need to rely on the creator of MCM for such a thing. if we really need something similar why not just make it? i mean all it really does is act as a secondary menu in the pause menu for mod configuration menus.

as for skyui or rather a fallout version of it its the same thing, your just taking one menu and replacing it with a new better looking one. hell you can even keep the pip boy animation and make it act as if the pip boy is projecting a holographic screen or something. just thoughts though i have no idea how long the coding for that stuff would take and with my limited understanding of coding i doubt i could do anything similar myself.

i think the skyui team is on it: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4979480-skse/page-25&do=findComment&comment=45363980

and the fallout version is not that simple either. before fallout 4 came out expired said if no one makes an MCM menu for it, he would - he may have changed his mind or may not have time (F4SE is still too early in dev right now) but he did say it

It isn´t, but to get stuff like that you need a person that is skilled, has some time to do it and most important is willing to do that instead of other things.

And this combination is rare.

Maybe Bethesda doesn't like it that we turned Skyrim into a sex simulator with rpg on the side and made it a bit more complex for modders to add custom animations. Their goal might have been to make it so that modders mainly focus on quest, gear and companion mods, but no animations. Surely, they are aware of custom animations being added by modders and probably decided against creating animation hooks for easy access. Just a theory though.

They made it easier.

Once you have an animation all you need is the CK.

Absolve me of my negligence if this has been already asked but here goes: If CPU and Leito86 are doing a version and Ashal is doing another why do they not just pool together their collective resources e.g. their artistic minds and experience and just do a single version so that we do not have two competing mods that may be incompatible with each other or two competing mods in which one makes the other redundant? Again I apologize if this has been asked before.

quoth the raven, nevermodded.

first point of failure, its stupid hard in that its a terrible timesink of dealing with all the limitations of the game.

second point of failure, why havent you just made it then?

third point of failure, lack of consideration to respect the people who already been there did that on a simliar game. if it /is/ going to be that easy, those are the people it is going to be that easy for. so time is given to them in the event inspiration or a feature they are waiting on hits.

fourth point, interacting with the ui on bethesda games sucks balls.

Are you serious? Modding made Skyrim the #1 game in the WORLD.......Why do you think they did Skyrim SE?

Sure did, I don't think I would've played it as much if not for the adult content unlocked with mods. That said, I did a fair bit of work in adult game industries for graphics and moderating. There is a lot of controversy going on. It seems reasonable to think that they at least thought about the possibility of adult mods being introduced into the game and whether they want it to have that stigma or not.

On a different note. How are animations done for Fallout 4? I know there are some rugs or maybe furniture items that can have them. Since I have been animating before and can do rigs, if I really wanted to, I've wanted to know if there was a guide out or so? Even without SexTec, shouldn't it be possible to have sex animations by use of rugs or couches with alternative animations? This again makes me wonder if animation nodes as we find them around implemented in the game, can support two actors, that'd again bring me back to the whole "they didn't want us adding two actor animations". The game itself doesn't really have interactions between characters. The most you get is them standing infront of each other. At least from what I've seen so far, I've picked the game up rather late, hoping that with a years time there will be sex or slavery mods out already. I can understand why they aren't yet, just wondering if Bethesda could've done it better.

The way animations in the game are handled just weirds me out really. When I first saw that the spots that npcs hammer against the wall in Sanctuary were physical nodes, that made me cringe a bit. Reminded me a bit of an Avatar Chat Software I did animations for and it was a hell of a pain to have sex let alone interactive sex animations in the game, because, and here comes the bummer, they don't want it. On the other hand Second Life has a far superior system regarding custom animations, since you just start animations with other actors by selecting them and the animation. Which, well stems from the fact that they actually want creators to make actor x actor animations.

My whole point being: How are animations handled? I know there are idle animations, but that's just one animation so far that I know about that is not bound to a physical node. Running, Reloading, Crouching and so on animations aside. What I'm suspecting is that with F4SE and SexTec there is need to write a code that hooks into actors and performs those animations. Because there is no already implemented system in the game that grabs two actors and fires up an animation between them. Which, they clearly could've done, would've done.. should've done.

Ramble Ramble. Don't listen to my nonsense, but hey with a few answers I might be able to cook up sex animations once things have progressed. Or perhaps Pose Packs. Just don't know where to get the sceleton to import into max or how to export > implement it into stuff. I know there were guides for Skyrim, but I didn't bother doing anything there, because most poses I would've wanted to create already existed, different thing for fallout.

The guide you are asking for

Thats the Point.

SexLab ( SexTec will do it simmilar as far as i know ) is using 4 or more Animations per Actor,

wich means a performance with 2 actors consists 8 single animations.

You have to get the Actors, place them at a specific point and start the 1st stage animations for both actors simultaneously to get them synced.

After a number of loops the stage advances, so you have to start a new animation on every involved actor and of course you need to start these simultaneously again.

And that for all stages until the performance ends.

Leito86 has apparently stopped modding last time I checked. Just thought I'd point that out.

Very sad if true. His animations are amazing. I know at one point i saw a post with him talking about playing with FO4 animations with some gifs. Looks like he got banned on Nexus, might have soured him on modding for a while. Gonna miss his professional quality for sure.

He wasn't banned, he requested that his profile be removed.

It's all kind of odd.
