xanbalest Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Encountering a minor bug trying to do hunts as werewolf. New conquests are not occuring..... Additional, post the elf dance occurance further down in this post, it finally allowed me to perform a new conquest..... I think the scope is hitting outside my immediate court, it hit one of my vassals. Could be wrong. Still fails to explain why it wouldn't hit earlier when I had 6 unmarried women in my court who weren't already 'conquered' as it were..... Minor addition. The hunt choice event came up on it's own without me using the decision..... Further addition. The elf dance event occured despite my having performed a hunt about 3 months previous, and having no levels of the beast within. I was still within the werewolf hunt cooldown. said cooldown wore off less than a week later..... Fairy Tales Related addition. Belle seduction route was fine up to the point where I had her seduce beast. Then I killed him, went back later, and it was the choose what method I'd use to deal with beast while talking to belle. So I had her seduce again, let him live, but kept belle for myself. Then Belle was in my court, and no "Goodbye" scene with the villagers.....
Silmarion Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Yeah, this new dlc.... Might as well wait for when they balance it. Also, thinking about adding one more feature for werewolf sub mod. I don't suppose you're still planning on releasing that? I know, this close to an update seems like a poor time to ask, but man *arm scratches* I need my fix man.
Reaper Frank Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Im playing with all the DW modules the only events that work are lustful worship and the ones that the player can directly trigger IE Harley and the Wizzards tower ones, and the Lilith blood moon thing etc. so im not getting the exotic travaler or the Fairytale events.
DerekSorrow Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Thanks for the reply. I would use an overhaul, but I use a no Abyssia+no West Africa+No India mod. Also, After the End and other alternate worlds seems to be great to play DW on! And my Vlad spawned (on vanilla) with noculture and noreligion and noculture gfx. WAD? Suggestions: there are some other fantasy mods out there, maybe incorporate some of the "satanic" religions to use for the Vampires?

How long did you wait? It can occur one finds Belle and gets a hint to the village 100 years into the game. The exotic trader is as probable to get as a normal trader, in my latest playthrough I'm 12 years in and not a sign of the traders but I'm not alarmed. It can very well take an additional 18 years until they show up. /edit I just had the Exotic Trader. In the year 823. The game started 769. It can take a veeeeery long time until one of these events fire. The trader for example has a 10 weighting on a decade pulse. That means it has a 10% chance to appear once in 10 years. If you are lucky you meet them on day 2 of the game, if you are unlucky you meet them on day 12000 of the game.
ennethil Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I see, thanks for the replies though ! Are there already people who have made additional stories ? If it is then is there a thread about it ?
NinjaDork Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Really liking the newest updates-excellent work to everyone involved in them. My only question is; is there a way to see which portrait corresponds to which number before I select them?
xanbalest Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 aside from going through each portrait one at a time via the console command, one can also use the event txt files to see which portraits are called for which characters. Otherwise, not really to my knowledge. Sorry I can't help more than that.
xanbalest Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Interesting..... the mod immortal trait stats overwrite the new immortal trait in the DLC..... It takes the image from the dlc, but the stat boost is the intrigue from the mod, rather than the health boost from the DLC. 2 intrigue versus 10 health.... hard to decide which is better. Either way, a Core update might be on the horizon either removing the mod immortal or changing it's name, perhaps in the next cycle or two.

I had that same kind of thought, I'm all for simply calling it Immortality or something else along those lines. Something that makes it easy for us to take note of if we have or haven't had the immortal events trigger. Was strange to look at the events eventually happen after a reign of about 250 years and amount to no prize at the end of the dreary tunnel.
xanbalest Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Well, i'm only supposing the possibility of it. I'm quite happy to be wrong, though it might cause confusion. Still, as many, including myself, have stated before, this mod is Dew's brain-spawn baby (ala artemis (I think that's the goddess i'm thinking of) from greek mythology), so it's really his choice what he does. Speculation is what i'm pointing to here.
stefan65 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 i'm not getting the fairy tales event i have played the same game for two weeks(irl) and nothing pops up plz help

JesusKreist Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I randomly grabbed an old save and enabled Fairy Tales. After waiting around in speed 5 for a mere year: I can see nothing which prevents the bi yearly check for the start of this quest. That means you are either very unlucky or have a third mod which somehow conflicts with this mod. If you really really REALLY want to start the questline open the console and type 'event DWFairyTales.100'.

NinjaDork Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 SO I picked the lilith start, and I'm not getting an option to become a futanari like I expected. Am I missing something?
xanbalest Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 To everyone complaining that the fairy tales mod isn't firing the BatB events properly, the chances of it happening are just that. Chance. That means it relies on, for lack of a better analogy, the game engine rolling dice to see if the event occurs. It rolls said 'dice' once on the bi-yearly cycle (I think that's what was said), relying on a certain number to hit before it fires the event successfully. Take the Exotic Trader, the 10% chance that it'll appear (Not sure, just using the numbers on this page, too tired to go hunting through the rest of the thread or the event files to hunt down the actual numbers) means that on a d20 die, the die has to land on 19 or 20 for the event to fire. If it were rolling a d10, you'd be looking at a 10, and only a 10, for the event to occur. The RNG (Random Number God) is run by the games engine, and is actually a slight bit better in this case as dice are subject to a large number of manipulation like interactions, from shaving a corner/edge, to subtle changes in the texture of the surface it's being rolled on catching edges/corners and changing the random nature of the roll. TL;DR? Short version: you're playing the lottery with the same ten numbers, 91-100, every single time. Only one number is drawn at every interval. Expect to either be incredibly lucky, or incredibly disappointed, because it's entirely possible for the event to NEVER fire. If you can't wait for the BatB story line to occur naturally, follow these steps: step 1: Press the tilde key (english speaking keyboards, standard qwerty used in america). Said key is located above the tab key, and left of the number 1 key at the top, and typically, below the esc key. The symbols on the key are ` or ~ step 2: Type exactly as follows, no quotation marks "event DWFairyTales.100" step 3: Press enter. Congratulations, you 'won' the lottery. Everything else in the BatB story line occurs at the pace YOU choose with the exception of the 3 month resting period between using the visit decision again. Exotic Merchant events: Repeat step 1 above step 2: Type exactly as follows, no quotation marks "event DWFuta.100" step 3: Press enter Just as with the BatB starting event, the Exotic Merchant event should fire immediately. IF you have the mods installed, have them active, and followed these steps exactly, the events will fire. If they do not, if ANYTHING happens that is not the events firing, then you have either entered the event command wrong, have iron man mode active (Fairly certain Iron Man mode deactivates use of the command console), do NOT have the mods active, OR you have managed to win a different lottery, and found a mod incompatibility. In the case of the last occuring, please inform the thread of the mods you use, where you got them, and what they do. Given the event names are fairly long and mildly unique, I find it highly unlikely that another mod is using the same calling for events, however there are many different ways mods can be incompatible, and I have no idea about most of them. In any case, good luck! P.S. If it seems like i'm aggressive/angry/annoyed or otherwise posting this in a manner you find offensive, I apologize. I just woke up and i'm not filtering my thoughts very well yet. It's not my intent to offend or demean anyone, merely to help, and I figure it's better to teach a man to fish, rather than give him a fish. In this case, teaching how to use the console for the two events most requested in the last page and a half. For other commands to use in the console, google "CK2 Console Commands". Looking to add the character modifiers for werewolf/vampire rather than the traits, but you already chose to be a succubus/incubus? "event DWCore.1" as many times as you like. Looking to add the modifiers to OTHER characters? Open the console, and type in "Charinfo", no quotation marks. Find the character you're looking to modify, check their ID number Males: "event DWCore.2 (Character ID)" Females: "event DWCore.6 (Character ID)" This will open the dialogue to choose the campaign style. Recommended only to add the futa/trap traits, as the other options will give the AI the choice to become lilith/incubus or deny the dream, or choose werewolf, bitch/omega, vampire, or thrall, depending on the option YOU click on. Males: "event DWCore.3 (character ID)" Females: "event DWCore.7 (character ID)" This will open the dialogue to choose werewolf, bitch/omega, vampire, or thrall for the specific character. This means that YOU specifically choose the option for the character in question, versus the previous one, where the AI chooses. These methods work, I use them all the time, even since the update and new DLC. If they don't work for you, recheck your spelling, and make sure you're putting in the correct character ID. With all DLC, there are over 500000 specific Character IDs at the start of the game in the earliest time zone, and the game doesn't reassign those ID's later to my knowledge. Having the number wrong could mean either the event doesn't fire cause the ID entered doesn't exist yet, or the event fires for someone else in the world, and GOOD LUCK finding them if you're giving them a modifier. You can search traits easily enough, but modifiers? To my knowledge, not possible. Hope this helped!
NinjaDork Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 You're the real MVP, xanbalest. Thank you so much On a separate but related note, I decided to go browsing through the workshop to see what other overhaul/enhancement mods I could find and I found these two which look absolutely awesome; Fantasy! by JordanDoes Mythos by Stanley Yelnats IV (Both of those usernames are links). I don't want to activate them yet because they seem complex enough that they probably have conflicts with the dark world stuff. SO, the question is; can anyone tell me if these will conflict, either with DW or each other? If they will, would it be relatively easy to make DW compatible with them, or to incorporate some or all of their features into DW?

xanbalest Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I'm no MVP, i'm just trying to help. Dewguru has enough on his plate with the mod, his other project/projects, and real life. But I still hold him as the MVP, since he created the mod, and thus, the reason we're reading/writing here. If I can take a little off his plate by answering questions, i'm happy to, but my knowledge is limited, and hardly infallible, so don't take it as gospel. As for other mods, as Desmont said, check the "Last updated" statement for any mod you're looking at, the comments to see if it's still usable, and generally the mod creator will say something along the lines of "Compatible with" followed by whatever version of the game it was made for/updated to. I'm a bit of a hyper cautious individual as well, so I typically run a mod on it's own for about 4 in game weeks, then add it to the main mods I use. But most mods don't really interest me. I still use Eugenics, but I just recently added "Child marriage and seduction anyone", for a tiny bit more immersion for the time frame, as well as the DW:Reborn mods in their entirety. Unrelated to mods, until the last update, one could use notepad++ to modify the defines.lua to make the game a little easier, but now it seems this method no longer works. Anyone who uses this method themselves and are scratching their heads over it, I thought someone should mention it. Good luck and have fun everyone.

Also, a couple of other questions; 1) I haven't seen the option to join the lilithian religion in this games. Was that eliminated, or was it made a random chance thing? 2) Same with becoming a futanari after you finish becoming a succubus. Already checked the intrigue menu and saw nothing.

Futa is a separate module and the Lilithian religion isn't integrated yet. The latter of the two has been asked more than just about everything else in the original DW content. I understand not digging through the pages, but it seems to crop up every 1-3 pages. Oh, nearly forgot, there isn't an event to make yourself a futanari so I suggest just adding the trait after you add the Futa module.
coretex Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 @ Xanbalest - you can still use notepad++ for editing defines. Although you typically dont want to directly edit defines.. but do your own mod for it using the moddable method for defines to edit individual items. Else if you typo something or setup an invalid varable.. then yes. you will probably crash the game. if you want to make your own defines.. use the format like this: NDefines.NDiplomacy.DEMESNE_BASE_MAX_SIZE = 2.0 And put it into a defines.lua in your own /mod/"modname"/common/defines/"yourdefinesfile".lua you have to make your own mod enable file..but you can just copy an example and change as needed from any mod.

coretex Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Ninja.. just look at the files. check in common/traits/ for the trait file for DW
