i simply offered a solution which completely bypassed your concerns, its you who changed the basic problem from reseting the fairy tales with finding which flags are active

here come dat trouble o shit make it double.

waddup bras I've been busy doing shit in some of my personal modding time. Yes, I do that for fun. I need a life.

If you hadn't noticed earlier in the forum, I've had my own mod of sorts revolving around otters, because that's a thing.

Right now I've been whooping my own ass trying to figure out a religion mechanic for it; based around an initial Feminist religion that can later devolve into a patriarchal society.

This is supposed to be done through factions (Male landed characters of the player's dynasty with a claim on the throne that follow the religion's patriarchal heresy can create a 'Subjugate X' faction if they have the cruel trait), and through three different titular titles; two Empire-level titles (one's the religious head for the Feminist religion and the other is the religious head for the Patriarchal radical heresy), followed by a third Kingdom-level titular title handed out to the feminist religious head if the faction evolves into a rebellion and wins the war. This Kingdom-level titular title is a 'consort' title of sorts. Essentially the Empress becomes a figurehead, forced into marriage to the winning heretic revolter; the catch for the revolter is that even though the Empress it overthrown out of power, she remains in his council inside a 'Imperial Consort' position, where she can vote and influence other council members.

So far, I've got the titles all set up, but it would be nice if anybody with religious-modding wisdom out there could tell me how I can 'clear' the religious panel (currently it looks ugly as shit with all the empty would-be holy-sites in black, and since the Imperial religious head titles don't have a COA, those appear with a black screen for a COA as well).

I will make a request Pack the custom portraits why have things that are meaningless to the current in the dark world history has pictures not used so grab the old and put on them would be what I would expect from a next update.

.... what?

Okay, I can only make 1 assumption as to what they're saying here. They want the portraits to be part of the specific packs they are connected to rather than as it's own pack. If this is not what they mean, I have no clue. But I think it'd make the packs more complicated than they need to be and might cause problems. Not to mention it'd mean, what, a minimum of 3 seperate files manipulating portraits rather than just one? maybe more than 3. I could be wrong, please correct me if I am.

what I meant and that is 50 not images used in portrait 3:04 and a few paragraphs 1 and 2 only 5 complete TA and had important images that were excluded the old are files that remain in history as quests for example the event of jessica rabbit appeared and when he was to appear it appeared only one portrait obs: I am Brazilian excuse the bad English

Ahh.

So you are getting persons that should receive a portrait but they do not.

At least in your mind that is.

If I'm not mistaken 'Jessica Rabbit' is the singer which comes up in the bordello improvement quest.

Guess what. That quest is not in reborn so that means you are using the "patch" from the opening post and the modules at the same time.

Everything which is present in Dark World Reborn which should have a portrait has a portrait. The "patch" is not a patch, it is the old version made fit for the current version of CK2 and is neither supported nor compatible with DWR.

You should use one OR the other, not both.

Ahh.

let me see what I understand the dark world rebuild should not be used because it is an old version the current version and the dark world core.

Close.

Dark World Reborn is the new modular version of the original Dark World which was made for the Version of Crusader Kings 2 BEFORE the Conclave Patch.

Someone took the original Dark World, ported it to the current Patch of CK2 and named it Dark World Rebuild.

Problem is both mods are in very large portions exactly the same and if you use both one mod is overwriting the other.

Since they are not 100% the same (many things are not yet in Dark World Reborn that were in Dark World) that means there WILL be conflicts, bugs, Glitches, ...

Use either Dark World Reborn or Dark World Rebuild, not both at the same time.

Quick update - I have begun where I left off. Haven't had much time to sink into it yet, and I spent about half of it trying to figure out exactly where I left off and what I was in the middle of doing, however, progress has resumed.

Yay, our friendly neighborhood ork has returned!

Are you planing anything speical with the upcoming Reaper's Due DLC and 2.6 patches?

I've been encountering a recurring bug in  which characters are born (or possibly generated) without portraits, making them unselectable. When the educated child button popped up and let me 'select' them, all the portraits started getting mess up. All the kids have been with princesses from the Fairy Tale pack, if that matters (I have not had enough kids with 'normal' women to know if the glitch is related to the Fairy Tale mod or not)

Also, I don't know if this has been previously addressed, but futa's should be able to seduce both genders (if that is possible)

Very tired, so I have no idea how coherent this post is.

Never seen that before. What do you mean unselectable? You can't even click on them? When you say they don't have portraits, what exactly do they look like, and how exactly are they "messing up"?

Right now it sounds to me like something's funky with your installation. Just delete all the mod folders, re-download, extract the folders. Start over.

Missing as in a circle with nothing in it and cannot be selected by clicking on it. When I was able to reach their character screen using the educated child icon, the some of the portraits were just black and some were just empty. Twice one of the princesses was married to a character who only had a background in their portrait. I don't have a save available to provide screen shots, unfortunately.

I'll reinstalling the mods and, if it happens again, I'll try to grab some screenshots.

Make sure you have the visual DLC required.

For instance you WILL get an empty portrait for any mongol leader if you do not have the horselords content pack.

Similar with most nordic leaders if you do not have the norse portraits DLC.

Does anybody know how to create trade posts via code in ck2?

I'm trying to make a decision that would in theory allow me to create trade posts in the capitals of my tributaries.

Ideally, I would've preferred to just change the triggers for building it, but that doesn't seem possible.

There's a create_tradepost command, which is documented (to the extent that it is) on the CK2 Wiki.

I am aware. I always use the CKIIWiki for reference when modding. Thing is, I'm having trouble implementing it. Using a province ID would be undesirable since I want to be dynamic, so I need to scope it. I don't know how doe plis help :v

You might be able to do it as a title decision. Restrict it to counties so you access it by right-clicking the county title, then in the event's effect block use the location scope to turn it into a province scope which you can pass to the create_tradepost command.

Beware that the create_trade_post command only works if you actually fullfil the conditions to creating the trade post in the first place (being under tp limit, owning the province if in the silk road or bbeing a coastal province if you're a republic, etc.).

I've not been tracking what it entails, but I'll make the mod compatible with it and depending on what I see when I get it, I may plan something special.

The background only issue seems to be tied to Mongol leaders, despite the fact that I have the Horselords content pack.

Also, an unrelated but annoying issue, NPCs that I give to immortal trait to keep dying of poor health or just suudenly losing immortality. I think it may be tied to the ascend decision, but I don't know enough CKII code to disable it (or even know if I should disable it.)

EDIT: If there is a way to change it to prevent members of my court from ascending immortality, that would probably be my best option, assyming that is possible.

Posted

The mongols are split into two DLC.

One is called "Horselord Content Pack" and includes cuman ethnicity (far east of the map, asian looking guys'n'gals) while the other is called "Mongol Faces" and includes the portrait for "the rest" of the mongol hordes i.e. the guys'n'gals originating farer than far east.

If the portrait module shall change something that is not present this results in an empty portrait. Since that happens it is veeeeery likely you do not have a visual DLC which the module wants to change.

Please read the readme to find out how you could solve that issue.

NPC can choose to forgo immortality via decision in the DW Core Module.

If the NPC is incapable s/he will shed the immortality, if s/he is older than 80 years there is a 5% chance (per day I think) s/he will do so.

You can modify the simple .txt and change the values to your liking and even get rid of the decision if you want. Keep in mind immortality in CK2 is more of a curse than a boon as most age induced ailments are not prevented by immortality though.
