What mods do you want now that you've played Fallout 4?

I want better romance with perks that make sense, except with that LL twist. I think Cait should be a bit more dominant seeing as how she was a fighter and heavy drug user. It would make for a fun BDSM story. Like she starts out submissive until

you cure her

, then she goes all dominant. Like even to the point of her saying "I'm tired of being the submissive one. Now it's your turn." and then showing you how dominant she really is.

 

I agree on better romances. I mean, romances that go beyond number cruniching and perk hunting. Jealousy would be nice. And same sex relationships fitting the character.

 

I mean, I can go with Cait, Piper even, to be bi or lesbian. But I can't imagine Curie to go down that road. I can also imagine Preston to be gay, but I can't imagine McGready or Danse to be into men. Well, maybe Danse, brotherhood and all.

 

 

 

Curie was a true robot before becoming a Synth. I have a hard time imagining she can comprehend romance at all. But the developers let you romance her. That makes me wonder if Fisto in NV was Obsidian's idea or someone at Bethesda is a techno-fetishist.

There was a quest attached to Fisto. So someone was a tachno fetishist ingame. You didn't have to go for a test drive.

 

As for robots comprehending love. Did you visit the schoolhouse in Diamond City?

No, I haven't. But then I haven't been able to bring myself to play for nearly three weeks now after rushing through the main plot and companion quests. Until the GECK comes out, and modders do what Bethesda failed to do--make this game interesting as anything other than a shooter and do actual debugging--I just can't bring myself to play it.

Settlements I agree is the part of the game that needs the most work.

 

Other mods from skyrim I would like to see.

Racemenu/Body Slider - either one that lets you have more options when making a character.

Frostfall - Or something along those lines to make the environment a lot more dangerous.

ineeds - To add in sleep, eating, drinking as needs. and bathing mod.

Weapon/armor conditions so they wear out and need to be repaired. Forget the mod name off the top of my head.

Sextech - of course.

Defeat - For me it is a must have.

 

To name a few.

 

Speaking of frostfall . . .

I was just chillin at the rocket, I think I'd just killed some raiders, and was up on the hill there facing the garage. I saw for a split second a little cloud of dust and then WHAM radiation +10 sec. I ran the fuck away a few steps, turned could still see the little cloud. I walked towards it and got another tiny bump in radiation prompting me to back up. I watched as this effect just disappeared.

 

It was NO MORE than about :05 seconds total. It was totally a "rad devil" that just puffed out of nowhere and disappeared just as quickly.

Better use of the Minutemen. Really feels like a missed opportunity. It seems Garvey wasn't the last Minuteman. Turns out the player is.

 

I'd love for there to be a purpose to being a general. Recruit Minutemen and assign them to settlements. This way they can handle those annoying Radiant quests, OR you can decide to go on one should you wish.

 

That would be good. I have the radio requests coming and it doesn't matter where on the map it is, im the only minute man that responds - that doesn't make sense since a lot of settlements have joined and I have at least 8 settlers at each settlement.

 

I would also like to see minutemen patrols going around.

 

 

 

 

 

Can I also add I would love to see vehicles.  Have minutemen driving around in APCs from military bases rigged to run on gas.  Same with the brotherhood of steel.  I would love to have a bike with a side car or maybe even a off road buggy.

 

 

this map is WAAAY too small for vehicles.

Commonwealth Defense

Based on the skyrim mod Tundra Defense and the NV mod Wasteland Defense.

 

In those mods, you built an outpost, it attracted people. Bad guys attacked your outpost. You used resources obtained from the dead bad guys to build defenses and outfit your people because the next time would be a more difficult attack. Your basic survival mode with resources.

 

The things I'd like to see different in it are

  • better defined rounds. You never knew when there would be an attack... which is fine, but it was a very long time in between so I was usually out adventuring.
  • Actual bad-guy goal. In skyrim, they just came into town and beat things up. In FO4 they could be trying to destroy your workshop which would disperse the settlement until you could repair it . . . which of course shouldn't be easy.
  • a scoring system. I'm sure there's a way to translate in game data (score) securely (to prevent cheating) to a leaderboard on the internet somewhere.

If it was a random intermission (say 3-6 ingame hours, modified by difficulty setting), you'd have to kick ass repairing buildings before the next wave.

 

I love the concept, the skyrim ver was just limited by the complexity allowed by the game.

I want plugs for Piper and Cait. Probably Curie as well at some point. And I want quest markers attached to the damn things so I can find them using my Pip-Boy.

Lots of good ideas here. I'd like to see placeable bedrolls and/or campsites so my char can finally get some damn sleep. And while we're at it, lets can the whole "ZOMG! Help defend xxxx!!!" 24hr on-call nonsense so I can get a proper roleplay going.

Been thinking about the Concord water tower lately, how about a quest to repair it and bring proper running water and sanitation to Sanctuary? Working showers and tubs with animations so I can show Piper what soap is used for.

Since I play 3rd person, can we tweak the 360 degree activation bubble around the character? I'm just as likely to select something in front as I am behind me. *clicks on door to enter... "Yes, mum?" Shut up Codsworth, and stop hovering.

And speaking of followers, when I tell them to stay put it doesn't mean they need a personal invitation to join the fight especially when they're engulfed in flames and soaking up gunfire. C'mon, snap out of it. You're on fire, for gawds sake, do something!

Those brahmin are a menace, they're running amok. I once had three supply routes from Sanctuary plus Carla coming and going. Seemed like every time I cross that bridge, I'd have to dodge some frenzied, wild-eyed mutant bovine. Reminds me of public transit at rush hour.

 

Tried to make a deal with Carla, her brahmin turns and pushes me out of the way. So I turn back around, brahmin turns and pushes me away again. This must've gone on for 20 seconds or more, the two of us just spinning around like we're ball room dancing. And Carla is just standing there like "yeah, whatever".

Oh, hell yeah! Moo...uh, mutations based on popular fetishes (cowgirls, puppy/cat/pony/bunny girls, futa, etc.). Better still, ones that provide some sort of an added benefit based on the mutation. Such as puppy girls that can automatically turn mongrels into friendlies and sense others based on scent (like taking berry mentats), cat girls with heightened vision (better accuracy and clearer night vision) and a bonus to Stealth, I'd better stop before I get carried away.

- Better char creation. Current one is soo dumbed down.

 

- Settlements. sigh. Great idea, but so much work needs to be done. I like the mayor idea.

drop a buncha gear/weps, tell him to outfit them and don't let the place get overrun.

.. note, could also have a warning that a major attack is expected and our help is wanted, (meaning some legendary types involved) but enough warning to give us time to finish up the current battle/quest thing, and get there.

 

- The Naughty Bits.  (I know, they all will get added, but had to mention it)

  Combining the naughty bits with casinos/brothels/settlements etc, that too is going to er, come.

 

- More races. Basic framework is there, just needs expanding. We have human, ghoul, supermutants, synths. no reason not to have more. Some of them could even be synth alternate races. (as I posted elsewhere, once we can do truly humanoid type robots, then you just know that everything our imagination can come up with will get built. )

 

- More on the companions. Some have a questline/backstory, some don't.  Some fleshing out of those would be good.  Ability to send them back to their origin would also be good (popular request it seems).  Ability to FIND them when they wander off.  Oh, and something has to be done with Nat. I mean, once you romance Piper the kid is just left there in Diamond City. Doing what? Piper isn't there anymore to make more issues of the paper, so.. 

 

- Lots more armor/weaps. Already covered.  Kinda torn on the power armor one tho. I mean, it's big chunks of steel totally covering the body. How to make it more feminine yet still be power armor... dunno. I mean I like the idea, but it's not really practical. Hrmm, we have stealthboy to make you invisible. Holographic projection to make it look like you're in a bikini?

- MCM/UI etc.  'nuff said.

 

- much better sorting of items, particularly armor addons. Trying to figure out right/left ARM vs LEG is sometimes a royal pain. The names get too long, and the arm/leg get chopped off. Have to inspect the item to find out. Or transfer them to the char, toggle them wearing it and see if it took something else off.

 

- more critters. Kinda pathetic how few there are.

 

- raiders. agreed on all said before. they are bland. Same for gunners. more for them (story, interaction etc)

 

- skip the entire into until you pop out of the stupid cryo tube. At least in skyrim you chose the char AFTER the longassed ride, and it saved just before you made your choices. Here, choices first, then longassed stuff.   Great once or twice (each gender), but after that,  bleh.

But if we go the puppy girl route, we need to make the dog dishes an interactable item so they can get on their knees and eat from them. And another idea::  sexy power armor.

I shot the core out of one of them, got into the abandoned armour and fast travelled for Sancturary. Then I started stripping the T60 parts where they were better than what I had. Well, "Piper dislikes that", "Nick dislikes that", "half of bloody Sanctuary apparently dislike that". And of course, I've just tapped "E", "E", "E", "E" and grabbed the lot, with each one being individually disliked.

Why didn't you open it like a container and take all? People still would have disliked that, but it'd be one shot instead of six.

Those cows are pretty usefull, actually. In producing jet.

 

A mod to make them do what a cow does, in short, ironing out Bethesdas bugs, would be sufficient.

Jet is refined from Brahmin waste, or "fertilizer" in FO4. And I agree with our minty fresh member in getting rid of them. Or putting Howard and Hines' faces on their heads and adding an in-game achievement, Expert Excrement Expediter (yes, after the FO2 perk) for killing enough of them. They really shoveled on the bull in promoting this game and look what it's a piece of! Especially since they're dragging their feet in releasing the GECK. I worry the dung analogy will apply even then: polish a turd...

Agreed. Those pipe weapons are retarded. America is the most heavily armed civilian population in the world, and that is one thing that didn't change between the real world and Fallout's alternate timeline. Small-time weapons like pistols, revolvers, hunting rifles, and at least double-barreled shotguns should be more than plentiful enough to keep anyone from needing to MacGuyver anything.
