My goal is 2 weeks to a beta which should be fairly polished, it will have OSA+ do what old OSA does on a much cleaner foundation. It might be missing a few fringe features and some luxury stuff like fancy menu animations. I'll do that fine polish as we are debugging the beta. I estimate 1-2 weeks to debug beta and polish. Each phase will get some of the new animations. Reasonable estimate is that as an early christmas gift to the community everything discussed should be deployed. Edited November 10, 2021 by CEO 0S 2

(in terms of performance and papyrus impact) Much better, I didn't know how to code when I started this project and learned most of it making OSA. I been learning over the years since and I've improved a lot. The feature list is long but relatively unsexy. For immediate tangibles It will make life easier across the board for the end user, improve the speed at which I can work by a huge amount and increase the cool things people can do with the API. The center point is the animations though and I've got a large pack coming just consider osa+ an improved foundation that the project can grown and expand on. 3
Ahnassi Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 Have you @CEO 0S considered tails in your new animations? Most animators don't do that which results in the female's tail clipping through the male's body during most "from behind" positions (and a few other animations). 1

Parhaps Ahnassi for future animations I will consider it, the rig would have to be given tail control and long bendy things tend to be the most time consuming to animate a lot of the time but for the sake of completion it wouldn't hurt to give them a little animation so they aren't just sticking straight out. For now I have to focus on the task at hand but will keep it in mind.

Everything does count, thank you for your kindness and the supportive words, it's very appreciated! The plus series should not conflict with anything installed. For plugins that interact with OSA+ they will need an update. The trade off is it will the new api it will be easier to work with, so things that do integrate with it should have an easier time and new things will be possible as it can convey much more detail about scenes compared to the legacy OSA.
CEO 0S Posted November 17, 2021 Author Posted November 17, 2021 (edited) Progress on OSA+ Scribe today. Both in system and visuals. Screen shot of the new window and another of the Module Form list page showing the form types it will be dealing with. (Text hasn't been proofed.) Full Legacy Module Import completed also. I want scribe to handle outputting the animation documents for FNIS, so it's easier for animators and also having to type the animation name in many places causes a lot of typos when dealing with many animations. Scribe will automate the entire process now. Some of the new forms are related to aiding the fnis process If you haven't been following this is the writer tool for OSA+ to write scenes and other custom data that OSA uses with a nice and easy GUI. Here are some screens of it: Finished some branding for it as well in the spririt of the rest of the + series. Edited November 17, 2021 by CEO 0S 7

Ahnassi Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 WTF happened? What caused CEO to go from "the most awesome adult Skyrim modder" to this?
Akzyra Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Currently setting up from scratch for AE (lots missing, but SKSE mod get updated quite fast :D), wanted to use OSA, OStim, etc. Back to SexLab I guess... https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/qxdbjl/ostim_has_temporarily_ceased_development_due_to/hl8nhn5/ 1

Don't worry, Ahnassi or anyone wondering. I had to make a move that upset a faction of the commuinty in order to protect my work into the future. It was an unfortunate thing but there was no good solution at all where everyone is happy. The heart of the matter is I need to be able to protect my work as my own going into the future and it's not about bad blood, as I believe both sides are in the right, but at the end of the day this mod was made entirely by me and it's my right I can't move forward with development if people are always above me to inject themselves over my work. It is a complex situation however. In order to progress my work and the plans discussed this had to happen. Everything on my end continues and it will work out for the best all around in time. TBH if this is the quality of your coding I do not have high hopes. You understand this does not work unless the item you're looking for the user has installed and is in the exact position in the load order specified? None of your code has any comments, who's to say you come back to it and have no idea what you even did yourself. What about bringing other people in to work on the project? As someone who collaborates on codebases, I wouldn't touch this with the longest fucking bargepole you could find north of Carolina. consoleutil.ExecuteCommand("equipitem 1802376B 1") 1

I'm sorry you are offended and I would like to try to fix this if you give me the chance. Papyrus's only goal is receiving from the UI a few events to do things in Skyrim, in fact OSA can run on it's own without even being in Skyrim. I appreciate any feedback at all about my code and we can work on that line if it bothers you, however i slightly recall I had to use consoleutil with weird wording there to prevent items from being auto equipped back onto an npc. I tried a ton of things that night until i got something to work for the undressing system. Lastly, While I always enjoy help and appreicate the contributions I have received I made this entirely by myself except for the CPConvert DLL and the Hex Conversion method that I use to generate Unique IDs per actor. The community was both supportive and threatening to me also when I did this project originally, and I also had almost no one willing to help except for a few outstanding folks. Your threat of me having to work alone is of no concern. Edited November 20, 2021 by CEO 0S 4

What part makes no sense, if it helps ease your mind I'd be happy to show you examples of what I am talking about. I can show you the actionscript, the scale of it, and I can show you how the papyrus calls it. The mod has 10,000,000 total downloads, I've received mod of the month on every mod i've launched for both SE and LE, and I have the honor of being stickied on the front page of LL. If you can do that with shoddy work, then that's some pretty good shoddy work. 5

This should be interesting. And I'm not sure how you came to this 10,000,000 number unless you have metrics for mods outside of the nexus. Even adding up all of your mods download numbers doesn't even come close.

If it really is this important to you I might look it over with you if you post me more of the script so I can see the context. Best I can say right now is that since it has mod ID in it I was most likely using it for testing one of the systems. It wouldn't serve much purpose for the end user as is.
