This should be interesting. And I'm not sure how you came to this 10,000,000 number unless you have metrics for mods outside of the nexus. Even adding up all of your mods download numbers doesn't even come close. It seems a bit silly to fixate on a single line of code. If it really is this important to you I might look it over with you if you post me more of the script so I can see the context. Best I can say right now is that since it has mod ID in it I was most likely using it for testing one of the systems. It wouldn't serve much purpose for the end user as is. silvert Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 All I would like to say in light of all the hate that has been going around, is thank you to CEO for having made your mod. I installed it way back when it first came out and instantly fell in love with it. It was easy for me to use, and many of the animations were and still are, among my favorites. I still have it along with sexlab installed on every playthrough. I have tried out virtually every other sex mod there is, including Ostim, and uninstalled all of them. Thank you for having come back to work on Osex some more and I look forward to what you may do in the future. Hopefully you don't take all this criticism personally and leave again. You have every right to do whatever you want with your mod. 5

The community is incredibly dissapointing and it always has been, there are a few shining starts that have stood out on this journey, and i don't mean to paint with a broad stroke. The amount of insult and rage I got over the years for making something for free has been ridiculous, it's balanced with really rewarding support as well, like this. So thank you very much I got this under control but none the less with all the shit I've had to deal with today and all the insults, having some kind words means a lot! 7
ninjagaidenguy Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Protecting your work does not include putting malware into it, claiming all the animations were personally done by you and then today talking down your mod due to a "Copywrite claim" from a third party that according your take down message did a lot of the animation for the mod. This is incredibly condescending to the community and to the users of the mod and I will never be using or downloading anything of yours again. 2

Robo00 Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 (edited) Hi CEO, I wanted to ask you about the future of OSex development. First of all I'm looking forward for the new updates, new features, new animations are always welcome. Being said that I have to admit I'm a user who tried both OSex and OStim but didn't really kept using either of these mods. You might ask why: I didn't kept using OSex because it is just an animation mod. The animation, the interface and the usage is top tier professional, but it adds nothing on the gameplay or immersion side of the game. It's something you might launch when there is nothing better to do in the game, go through the animations, make some screenshots or whatever, but that's all. It's a minigame but it has no effect on the world. On the other side OStim started to add those missing gameplay, immersion elements. For example I really liked those which extended upon the spouse mechanics (both on the player-spouse, both on NPC-NPC aspects) or the arousal system. But I always felt that the development is really going one directional, the direction the author was imagining his game. So after a module was realeased on nexus, that module rarely got any feature or configuration updates, maybe only bugfixes. I also didn't like the paywall thing, but at least he released the mods after a month. So because I never really felt OStim was a complete mod, I didn't use it. But it was going somewhere, new stuff was constantly being added. So it became something many people considered could be a replacement of SexLab in their games. Speaking of SexLab, my main problem with it is it's slowness. But I really like that there is a huge freedom of choice from the many addons. My question is, are you considering building in gameplay elements to the new OSex mod, or is it something you wish other modders would create based on the new OSA APIs (and not on the OStim APIs)? Will you give support for these modders if they find that the OSA API is lacking in someway? If your answer to this later is yes, then these are really good news! Because we are at the birth of a new framework, something which could maybe be better than OStim was. If the answer to these questions are both no, then why don't you just let the OStim modders build upon your latest works? I'm sure you could just work completely independently on OSA/OSex the way you like it, pretending OStim doesn't even exists, and the OStim modders could keep patching their works for these newer versions. And if the paywall thing is what bothers you (it would bother me, too) then why don't you just say that you only allow their work to exist if they stop this behavior? I think this would be a win-win solution. Edited November 20, 2021 by Robo00 1

I think this would be a win-win solution. I really just want to sit down make a cool animation, plug it into a zip file that goes into my mod, post it somewhere, have the few members of my community say Thanks Ceo! Then engage and chat with me for a bit. That's what I've always wanted. Tonight i sat down with my community to relax after a tough, day, i did a few animations with them, some awesome hugging and kissing scenes. However, I can't release them because if i do they will be stolen. They will be monetized to someone else, and this project was never for money. If I say they can't be shared they will be posted to discords to make others profit. It's gross what has happened to the modding community. This is not fair to me, i deserve to be able to do work for fun that I can share with people and take credit just like I always have. I'll fight although there's an awful lot of forces out there strong arming me to back down and walk away, and very few allies. There was a time when I wanted a framework of my own, and what I did was animate for months, illustrate for months, code for years. If someone wants a framework they should make it, like I did. If their framework can't exist without having every mod I ever made included to make it function, of which only 1 part of 1 of those mods actually has open permissions then it's not really their framework at all is it? Akzyra Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 (edited) Nexus Archive Links pre-drama: OSA v2.023-SE , OSex v2.02SE-Alpha Well, you granted permission before leaving... from what I can gather you had no problems with OStim a month ago. I understand you want to flesh out OSA usage yourself now that you are back, but changing permissions for OSA does not affect anything that was done before that. PLus OSA is a dependency, if people wanted to harm you they would have stolen code and incorporated it directly. If you had just released a clear statement, there would not be drama. You could have stopped OStim development by asking nicely first, then taking action if they don't follow. But no, you put in a OStim check and accused user of using mods that "pirated" content, when OStim worked around limitations of an (at that time) abandoned framework. And you prevented the users from playing the game completely, not just blocking OStim! And there still seems to be a check for OStim in the latest version on Nexus. Use the old files! Edit: popup has been removed, but OSA still disables itself and thus OStim. The included uncompiled scripts are missing this code... if Quest.GetQuest((game.GetModByName("OStim.esp") != 255 || "OSexIntegrationMainQuest" as Bool) as String) as Bool || Quest.GetQuest("OStimSubthreads") as Bool || Quest.GetQuest("OStimUpdateQuest") as Bool ui.Invoke("HUD Menu", "_root.WidgetContainer." + glyph as String + ".widget.loveconquersall") miscutil.printconsole("O:66412389142") else miscutil.printconsole("O:1248") endIf Edited November 20, 2021 by Akzyra added links, added info about OStim check 7

Will the new version also be compatible with 0stim and other add -ons or will there be issues between these 2 mods? I am only asking because i am genuinely interested in the future of both mods.
