OK, I confirm that the scanning/selecting process of v 1.4.2 actually works.

Sexlife worked well before you removed "you" as well. I have never had any complaints, really. Though it is nice that I am no longer hearing disembodied voice in the game ;)

I'm having a problem where nothing seems to ever actually happen with this mod. I can check NPC arousal and whoever I check has never had sex even if their arousal is above the threshold. I tried to force it by using the debug options, assigning two people as A1 and A2 and lowering the loop speed to 20 seconds. Each pass it would name the two NPCs and most often nothing would happen. Occassionally the  male would approach the female and comment on someone else he found attractive. It went something like "did you see that piece of meat at the bar the other day?" to which she replies "fuck off". I'd also get a message along the lines of "gender correct but playing Matrix gender fail anyway".

 

Any ideas what's going on here? I have a crapload of other mods installed but as far as Sexlab-related ones it should just be the Sexlab framework one, the arousal one that this one needs and of course SLSL. I did have one called something like "willing NPCs" where you could directly ask them for sex but removed it a short while ago in case it was to blame.

If you can sometimes see such conversation like you mentioned above, then SLSL would works as intended with highly likelihood.

'Fuck off' refusal of A2 (woman) can probably derive from either

  1. A2 did not have enough arousal that met to say yes to A1's proposal to act
  2. The possible mismatch of Sexlab Aroused sexual preference between A1 and A2: From my experience I can assume that about 60% of actors are assigned 'hetero' in Sexlab Framework 1.60+, around 30% are 'bi', and around 10% are 'gay/lesbian'.

Also, 'gender correct but....' message occasionally (in fact, 25%) happens in the case that normally would resulted in the proposal of act from A1.

As far as I know, SLEN does not conflict with SLSL.

Gender matrix fail will play in cases as y_sengaku described, but also sometimes just from random chance. Even when there is not a single reason why the actors could or would not be compatible, this can still happen. It brings unpredictability to the mod, and is intended feature.

hmm lydia excample aproaches my pc and says :hey you yeah you and then some reason a dialogue to answer her dont show up .. so i cant turn her down or have sex with her 

this happens in an game which i installed sexlife after hmm 10 houers playing .

They sometimes speak to PC but there is nothing you can reply anyone since YOU was removed.

What is all the "YOU" references that have been mentioned?

 

Also two questions about how this works. I have a lot of NPCs in-game from various mods. The inns can get especially crowed at night. So (1) how is performance and (2) when NPCs get paired up, do they go somewhere else to initiate the SL animation or will they do it on the spot?

Just to burst your bubble, Dooge... I noticed something. It is not game breaking but since you are feeling all comfortable and smug, I decided to mention it anyway... Cos I am mean like that.

 

So what I noticed is similar to what Skippe mentioned above, but it doesn't involve the player. So for example, Farkas approaches Lydia and spews his lines, but Lydia doesn't have any lines. So only Farkas has the dialog. Is this also related to removing the You?

 

To make it clearer: only the accoster has dialog, the accostee has no lines at all, ever. Where before the accostee could have a line like "Go away before you get hurt" or whatnot.

The "You" was an invisible (vanilla voiced) person that was used for the player to interact with NPC that approached him/her. It's dialog showed up as "You" in the subtitles, hence the name "You". It was causing some issues, so the "You" has recently been removed.

 

As for the performance: I have never noticed any lagging in crowded places like inns at night. And when the NPCs (or player and NPC) get paired, they do it right there and then. There is no option to interact with NPCs through this mod to, for example, ask to go somewhere private. In fact, there is no possibility to interact at all. It is all done by script, based on the settings for the NPC and player in the MCM menu.

For the "You" NPC, what was its purpose, technically? Having an invisible NPC seems kind of odd.

YOU is no more. You spoke on behalf of the PC. I didn't want you in the first place, cos it makes no sense, but I am weak, I am merely a dog. In the end, all you did was torment the users of this mod for a year and more. Forget you ever heard of you. Happily it is you-free era from now on.

Hello,

I'm not quite sure if the problem I have is from this mod, but as it is the most recent I installed and I don't have any other mod that handels approach and random sex I think it is quite possible. And if not, then perhaps somebody here might have a hint on which mod is triggering it. I would really appreciate it.

 

And now about my problem. From time to time a follower or an NPC approches my character and says something like Hey you! You are exactly what I was looking for. Then it takes a about 10 seconds and a sex scene starts. I don't have any option to resist or anything. Might this be caused by this mod? I thought it was only for NPC NPC interaction.

Would be interesting to add dialogue options where NPCsto comment other nearby NPCs like "boy that girl is so easy, or he or she only goes for the big once" Or in regards to gold-digger traits "She is so stuck up- etc..." or for the rich guy "She knows what to appriciate etc..." or "She know what is importernt in life etc"... Not sure if this is feasable or remotely useful. Only trying to throw in some ideas,,,
