Never said that ANY sim can enroll. Shouldn't have expected it to be a given.

It could be that I AM a teacher. We just tend to take the basics for granted... :P

 

(Butthurt? Man, I'm trying Setra because you seem to think of it highly! Life's already complicated without entering verbal jousts on the internet...)

Well, We know that there are certain skills taught, and then tested. Then when a student graduates to a higher level, the teacher is free to assume the student does have this basic knowledge, so year after year, layer after layer, everyone can do their job without worrying whether the student has the necessary skill set to understand the increasingly difficult lessons without having to re-teach everything needed to understand these newest lessons. LL isn't a school, there is no testing, and it's folly to assume anyone knows anything when trying to explain a concept or situation. That's one reason many of my posts seem long as I try to remember there are possibly people reading them without years of experience or knowledge. People that already know can skim past the stuff they understand, while others can be guided through the process, or 'see' how it all works.

 

Given the nature of modding though, this is where i usually draw the line. There are many hundreds of pages on basic Sims 3 mod readiness elsewhere, and after they 'learn' that, then I'm willing to go to the next level and deal with the specialty mod called KinkyWorld.

 

As far as verbal jousts, Words like crucify and m'kay did exactly what you wanted: a triggered response.....

 

Once you get done checking out Setra, if your system can handle it ( it's the most difficult of worlds I have ) Try Los Aniegos : It's my favorite, but as it sits for me with all the customization, the longest to load.

Interesting. If I want say a bar manager for example to stay and not be randomly replaced I use MC to add sim to an available lot. This makes them a resident npc but normally I'd have nrass SP also installed as the NPC filter still applies to them so they  are prevented from marriage, pregnancy and so on. Not sure if that would prevent KW pregnancies. (This also fixes the npc respawn on the bakery register).

 

I originally tried using a resort but everyone just hung around in the reception will have to try a simpler lot and see if other rooms are used.

If so, it may be the culprit as one form or another of Story Progression swaps NPC's in an attempt to replicate 'life'.

 

If, I use the Callgirls and Whores feature with whores turned on ( amount >0 ) then I try to create a motel/hotel lot for them to hangout at although seedier clubs will also get KW 'venued'. The scripts attached to places like Resorts tend to make me think twice about having KW play nice with them. KW can be quite an asshole when scripts start colliding.

Yep, I think your right on the money with that one. I rarely see elder barstaff unless I lock one down as resident and they age up.

 

Also with a limited npc pool size and something like the bakery register constantly causing assignment churn everyone is volatile.  I imagine the service pool is more stable other than aging. Overwatch is the main mod I can think of that purges homeless.

Ha, if ever a mod needed a manual this one does.

 

For anyone interested the post on getting titles is here. Just ignore the difficulty level as I don't think it has been implemented and wouldn't make much sense if it was; why it would be easier for a virgin to progress through the ranks rather than a masochist is beyond me; there is a difference between kneeling down and bending over.

I don't have the EP with resorts, but "hangouts" are just that. Sims bring their kids, and almost never want the brothel service. I've also had success just assigning whores to bars, central park, library (I made a hot librarian whore). I've also had them not solicit customers at all.

I have aging on, but doubt that is the reason, as it has been only certain NPC types that go AWOL. The first was an annoying paparazzi. I hired her as a whore, and a day later, I began getting an instantiation error message, every 10 seconds. No pic of her in the friends list, nothing, but her name was still in the whores list. As I say, maids are probably the best choice as NPCs go. I haven't had one disappear yet. I use Nraas Register, and set the number of maids to 6 (of course, you can use whatever), so there will be several possibilities. Then, hire a maid, offer him or her a job as a whore, and even with always accept off, they seem to always accept. FYI... KW debug "always accept" means no free will at all, and a sim will always perform any KW related direction, including non-rapists committing rape, no "I don't want to do that", sims asked by the active sim will always say yes.

Huh? I don't know why, but half of the NPCs that are randomly selected to fill roles are adult, not young adult, age up, and I have 20 bars with elder bartenders and bouncers!

Was one... wiki and Fandom pages are gone. They weren't 100% on everything, but helped. I wouldn't be too surprised if the info isn't locked up on Patreon.

Can you guys help me out? When a married sim has sex with someone else, she/he gets the unfaithful moodlet. I even gave them the cuck trait. Sims don't get jealous (I turned everything off) but the unfaithful moodlet for married couples is pretty annoying. What can I do?

A couple of possibilities... It's new, and that's a bug that may or may not get fixed in the future... or maybe Oniki feels that even though your sim's partner may not get jealous, your sim is STILL being unfaithful, so should feel guilt. 

 

Only 2 things I know to remove the moodlet using Nraas MC must be rinsed and repeated as necessary, or the riskier and probably permanent way (make a back up copy) open the KinkyMod package in s3pe, open KinkyBuffs in notepad, and remove the buff from the list. 100% untried by me. Maybe a tech type knows?

That could be something I could maybe try. Right now I just delete the moodlet with testingcheats. It's not that big of a deal, just a little annoying.

My second supposition, that maybe Oniki felt that your sim is still being unfaithful, is as much my thinking as it may, or may not be hers. But, yes, there are some things which annoy the heck out of me, but the over all mod being part of my game greatly our weighs any thought to remove it over those annoyances. Moodlets are minor, and yes, can be simply (if not temporarily until the next time) removed.

 

Other things, I seek more permanent solutions. As I said about making a copy, and try removing the offender from the xml, there are several things that I have done that with, or similarly. Recently, I just got tired of creampie facial. You can use a condom to not have semen all over your sim's legs, vagina and butt, but... however... nothing to do to stop a facial, except to replace the image with a blank, which I did. I mean, maybe he DIDN'T blow his load on her face? Or... maybe she's a swallower??? )))))))))))

 

Also, currently rewriting my STBL with more "normal" stuff, and seeing if simply deleting certain strings there, will stop things in game, or if the actions are coded in the .dll? 

 

I often tell people that the answer is in the KW menu, or KW debug... In the KW menu is a sub-menu to change settings for many things, including autonomously putting on bras and panties... usually with outfits they don't go with, which is why I didn't add them in CAS to begin with! Or, taking things off... I make clothing CC, and it's a PITA when I dress a sim, and she is constantly stripping!!! 

 

A problem I've been having is that after going through that long list and setting things, save settings, and the import settings fails, and I can't bring back the work, and it seems KW resets to what Oniki set. So... I'm seeing if I can simply remove the strings. AND... yes, I made a BACK UP COPY!!!! ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

As you can see, I hold no grudges and as members get to know each other, misunderstandings will happen less. My issue was info was given, I tried it and it failed, and provided a form of documentation to support my 'claim'. When I found out I wasn't told the 'whole story', I felt irritated because that is the type of information that keeps players asking questions - why why why? how how how? etc. etc. etc. We already get enough of that crap around here :)

I am curious if this would work...

I think deleting strings would cause more so called untranslated keys as we discussed some 20 pages earlier .

The result I expect is one more such cryptic message with each deleted string, but as always I can be wrong.....

Which language you rewriting the stbl ? English ?  This would be nice for others too if you consider to share it, since I maintain my opinion

that the original wording in KW could be much much improved in favor of a far better and more funny in game experience.....

As I continue to mess with the idea behind 'above ground hot tubs' I live and learn. Surrounding a hot tub with 1/2 walls and raising the tub via KW -move- function won't work. The walls effectively deny pathing, but it looks great. I may try again using a single deck piece with steps as I did with full foundation/deck on these 2 efforts while leaving the single 1/2 wall section missing at the entry points. Anyways, here's 2 shots with both size hot tubs...

My suspicion (probably wrong) is that there may be a brief lag as KW tries to figure out what to do next when it decides to have a sim put on panties and the string to do that isn't there. Again, not sure how this will work out.

 

I am editing the English STBL as that is what I use. As I now live in the US and have done so for 10 years or so, I submerge myself in this language. My son is 6 years, speaks Russian, Ukrainian and English... but we live here, and so English is his first language. This is why I tell others to NEVER apologize that there English is poor. Most Americans speak poor English!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Over those many years, my naughty mouth (normal American as I came to learn) husband has taught me a few things. In return. In return, I taught him to swear in Ukrainian... he already knew a few Russian swear words that I did not!!!!!!!!!!!!! OY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

 

I think that much of the wording in KW is because English is also not Oniki's first language. As with everything I do, I may upload it if I think it is good enough. )))

 

Like this...... I plan to share her... eventually.... just as the FemmeBots and 100 other things, but I see too many things that I still need to make and or fix.....

Above ground is easy... use deck or foundation in build mode, and drop in the tub. I do not think you even need to use "moveobjects on". My hell is to make a basement in a house with a foundation and place stairs.

The original Idea came from a post in another section of the Sims 3, looking for a Hot tub with a small footprint. While I couldn't help with making the required space smaller, I found myself experimenting with 'above ground' looks and trying to keep it as compact as possible. Because of my experience with Kinky Worlds -move- feature I was able to do something different though. Raising the tub and using curtains for 'siding', and knowing a sim WILL path through the air, I made this as a proof of concept.

Removing the curtains on one side shows the EA default unfinished sides which normally are covered by the large catch basin and scaffolding which can be seen below ground/next floor down. This is a proof of concept as mentioned and would need a proper choice of curtains and some tweaking of their positions for the best effect.

I think that is the cheater trait as that uses the unfaithful buff. I don't think you can turn that feature off but it does seem to balance against being faithful (more than 10) so you could try keeping the partner happy. Not sure right now but I think those stats should be in the sim's woohoo skill details.

Localization is done in the user interface and empty or missing strings are ignored so the code will always run regardless.

Missing strings will not ignored, but the cryptic programmers message will appear I guess. (only in the language you deleted such string, of course)

Do a German localization since 3 years now and implemented more than 500 additional untranslated keys of what KW captured and save

into a localization export file after the game is quit. Meanwhile my game does not save such localization files anymore, since I have all strings implemented.....

Unfortunately not all such strings will be captured by KW. But there are not so many...... I.e. the WooHoo announcements.

See post 15409 on page 617 about this, if you like !

 

But even if you do not care about the untranslated keys, there is much potential for KW if you change the existent wording.

Lot of such strings are just a copy  of the untranslated keys. So, the wording in KW has not much attention from the creator.

Up to now I had no problems with this so far. If that would not work, you always have to re-implement all animations what KW does not load automatically.....
