I was using this. Aaaand I should learn to read forums.... LOL!

Heads up: this texture pack is no longer compatible with schlongs of skyrim. I looked at both and this mod's male textures, has feet texture where the newest SoS texture has the.. ahem yeah.

[facepalm]

Well, that's an easy thing to miss, so don't feel bad. I do crap like that all the time. You use a mod and read all the stuff you need to read when you install it, then just don't read it again for newer versions because you know how it works.

I might have to try out that Everybody's Different mod. It was on of the things I liked about SAM was the abulity to have different body hair, but loosing the SOS shop put me off and I liked the revealing armors (which I modded into individual armors instead of replacers). I used one of Ixum's body hair textures on a SOS skeleton and the only thing I have to do was move the nipples which was easy. But it doesn't work with some of Leito's schlongs so it looks like they have this big pubic bald patch. I've been meaning to try and merge the two textures.

That is a really cool ability. I mostly don't care about the other male NPCs, though. My guy is what matters to me, so as long as NPCs look decent I'm not fussed.  I have the "one schlong only" issue with the SOS for Skysight Skins Patch. SkySight hasn't been officially patched for SOS by fadingsignal, so another member got permission to do an Unofficial patch until he gets around to it. The only problem is that they only patched one dick, which I totally understand, but I usually use uncut dicks and when I used it with the SkySight patch he had a big wad of jagged pubes that looked horrible. I had to just forgo the uncut one, and deal with the other. I wish I knew how to texture better sometimes. :s

The unofficial sos skysight texture is... not even the skysight texture. The head is a mix between geonox and skysight. But... there is no normal map at all. I don't know how this can be a patch since there is not even the normal map. It's probably why you have these issue, because the normal is still not compatible at all.

the author even said it in his .txt file (note the absence of credit too...) "Diffuse only." The diffuse is useless without the normal. It's like making a painting without the board.

I'm sorry but his work is rushed when I've seen his diffuse. Not even close to skysight texture to be honest. The only thing cool in his "patch" is the head texture but it's not even compatible with his body diffuse.

I don't use the head textures. I use Geonox's original detailed with stubble head over the "patch". I wasn't complaining, just chatting. :) I like what I've got pretty well. Looks better than the base SoS textures. Will probably use fadeingsignal's conversion when he has time to do it, but I will still use the Geonox head over that too because my character looks wrong with any other face textures. The only issue I have with the patch is that it only uses the VP Regular and I prefer uncut.

I had a look at "Everybody's Different" ... installing Java under wine might be an issue for me. So I'll pass.

That sucks. I've not used it before, but it does look really neat. Maybe something like that can be better implemented in the SSE.

I'll live. ;-)  I spend far more time in CK than in the game, these days anyway. I just like to have nice eye candy when I am in-game.  ;-)

Hmm, I can think of a nice mod for Maniplat(or)ing the NPC that can get a new functionality, say a dropdown to select a texture for a NPC. Just thinking aloud, how cool it would be :)

I'm kinda the same. I think I enjoy modding and testing way more than playing nowadays. lol.

Would be pretty sweet, for sure! One of the things that I don't like about female bodies is that you install a body mod like CBBE or UNP or something, and you get these old ladies with cragedy looking heads and smokin' hot bodies.

The way I see it the complication with SOS (as opposed to CBBE for example) comes from the addons. There are some addons that will work fine with some textures and not others. So you need to have "sets" of compatible textures and addons.

Several weeks ago I made an experiment and assigned all elven races the shaven body texture that comes with SOS. All the other races stayed with the hairy one. The problem is that the hairy version of the schlong looks really bad with the shaven texture. In case of races this is not that hard to fix - imstall some hairy and some shaven schongs and set the probability for the races. But when it comes to editing NPCs, something more advanced is needed as a solution.

Haha.... ;-)

SAM manages to do this (kinda), somehow. No idea how, frankly. And given the current... er.... "situation" with SAM, I don't feel like digging into the code to see. It might end up biting me in the ass .... and not in a nice way.  :-|

Ah, the life of a modder. :D

And that was the function that could have sold me SAM. But I was too loyallazy.

Not exactly hot for gay action, but male beautyfication mods or mods that focus on males in general would be nice to see more of :D

Hi, in regards to LadyMoiraine's website, I've been trying to register an account there, but have not been receiving any confirmation emails to validate my account. Seeing as it seems to be the place to get SAM related mods (at least for the next two weeks), would anybody be able to help me with that? I have yet to try to contact the administrators to try and get some help, but figured this might be a faster solution ^^' Thanks in advance :)

I think the fastest is to contact the admin there, actually.  ;)

Yeah, kinda had that reflection to myself shortly after posting here >_< I just figured, since the conversation had been around that website, maybe someone knew ^^ Thanks for the reply anyway, I'll edit one of my posts to let other people who could be having the same issue know of a solution :)

Well, to any it may concern, I tried with a third mail account and it worked, seems as though the site doesn't like @email.com... Now, to enjoy all the sweet sweet male mods :3

So, that idiot drama queen called Vectorplexus had SAM removed from Ladymoiraine, all the armor mods are gone. Thoughts?

My thought is simple: The more VP retreats into his own cave, the more obscure SAM becomes compared to, say, SoS or the still-popular-on-nexus-because-SoS-was-pulled Better Males.

Nexus is the mainstream modding site on Skyrim. LL is a somewhat obscure but still the most well-known adult mod site. Ladymoiraine is an obscure male adult mod site that had clearly seen better days. VP's site is virtually unknown to anyone who doesn't already know the recent drama.

If you count VP-era SoS, you can see that VP has been steadily distancing himself from the mainstream modding community (SoS was voluntarily pulled from Nexus, condemning it to relative obscurity and ensuring the continued popularity of the obsolete Better Males; SAM wasn't released on even LL to begin with). It's really only a matter of time before he build a fort around his own obscure site if this pattern continues.

Just leave the whole mess be and people won't even know who VP is in the not-too-distant future.

It's funny how a modder who is the creator of SOS is still bashed because he just want his future mods to be only available for a dedicated people. Maybe people don't remember but Vector made SOS schlongs, be glad the mod is still available without any restrictions. He doesn't care about popularity, he doesn't care if new people don't know who he is, he doesn't care about how many people will download his mods, at all.

I still don't agree with his decision because of some issues with the modding community during these two years, but I understand why he is doing this. There is absolutely no need to be rude or continue to speak about a drama, even more since it's now over.

Emotional outbursts happen, and they should be treated as such, they are not of any major importance... just a few ppl expressing their anguish. Why that happens though is another matter. I think the big outcry here is nobody really understands why this is happening. I don't. Why does the mod need to be surpressed like this? Why can't ppl work on it, make it better etc. The more restricted the mod is the more likely it is going to die, and in this case by a deadly choke hold by its creator.

It's his own creation, he does what he wants with it. There is no need to understand why this is happening. You don't have any right with his creation. Maybe it's unfair for people that have invested in his mod these last two years (and I'm one of them), because he decided to share it at first glance, but it is what it is. Contributors can always go on his site and share their works.

Nothing is supressed. But I know you're IP banned from his site, so maybe it's as if this was the case for you.

There is a lot of mods no more available, with no words from authors. At least SAM is still downloadable and will be from another site. The only thing I dislike is the drama around it. If the mod was already on his site since these two years, it wouldn't have the same effect.

EULA are common these days. Even some popular mods have it but the authors just don't whine too much about it. (and it's what I dislike the most about Vector, he should learn to ignore hate and act directly against it instead of doing drama.I think doing his own site with dedicated modders/users is the best for him to be honest)

The free fluctuance of collaboration will certainly take a hit with this kind of attitude. I know I am banned, no good reason for that either, he cannot simply take any kind of critisim. The original reason of our so called "dispute" was I wouldn't remove my texture mod from nexus because there were some "gay hating comments" on the comments thread.... sorry that is no reason to give up, stopping what you are doing because of that means they win.

All in all I think VP does great work but his attitude does not live up to the same standard. To be clear, this discussion is not about hate, it is about the freedom to add to a great thing, the joy of creating and a chance of expressing oneself. I do not see any good reason to hinder that.
