Here is my latest troubleshooting guide for this mod, I still need to add all the links.

1. Shivering Isles installed with latest Official Patch from Bethesda.

2. OBSE 20 (the latest one) found here http://obse.silverlock.org/

2a. I highly recommend using Oblivion Mod Manager OR Wyrebash, besides both are excellent for installing mods they both come with a launch function that launches the game with OBSE. If your not sure which, use OMM, its easier to use. This will ensure that OBSE is used when the game starts.

3. Install BOTH Oblivion and Shivering Isles Unofficial Patches.

4. You need both Modular Beautiful People 1.4.1 AND Modular Beautiful People Plus Plus version 92 or higher. They are two separate files. The latest MBP++ is located here http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37368 and it has instructions on how to get the base MBP files. Just to be safe I would use the latest version of MBP++.

5. Enable boarder regions in the oblivion.ini

6. You need Lovers Resource and LoversPK89 with Lovers with PK.esm activated. Its not a stated requirement but I would also have the other base lovers files, Lovers with PK.esp, the two animation priority esps, and LoversFSE activated as well.

7. Use BOSS to arrange your load order (which both OOM and Wyrebash have functionality with). Place ZMCPlayerSlave.esp before LoversPK.esp in your load order. If you are using a merged or bashed patch, uncheck the lovers mods first, build the patch and then reactivate the mods (per Ashal's lovers guide)

8. If your problem still persists I would recommend using TES4Edit which can be found on Nexus. Run it and then right click on ZMCPlayerSlave, select check for errors. If you get a whole bunch then there is likely a missing dependency. Also, for NPC issues check their entries and see if the file path for their faces, bodies, skin, equipment, etc...actually exist in your data folder. Take a look also to see if any other mods might be overwriting ZMCPlayerSlave's entries, especially regarding NPCs.

@ thomthom:

While it's true that Skyrim will feature a new game engine, it seems like Bethesda still intends to let the fans do some modding, at least according to these sources:

http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/19/bethesda-confirms-skyrim-mod-support-will-release-creation-kit/

http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/07/06/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-pc-to-get-mod-tools-high-res-textures-and-upgraded-interface/

http://www.battle4.net/2011/07/09/elder-scrolls-5-skyrim-mod-tools-will-release-very-close-to-launch/

Of course, more than half the time many of us will be depending on those who actually have the skill and time to mod the game, so I seriously don't expect anything within the first couple of weeks or so into the game's launch. (Everyone's gonna be playing the game anyway. I know I am.) But nevertheless, it's reassuring to know that modding is still very possible with Skyrim. Let's just hope our friends overseas are still interested, especially when it comes to hentai material lol.

As for everything else about Skyrim, well, I guess we'll just have to wait for the reviews...

Back on topic, I'm glad to know that you're still into this project. Keep up the good work, and we all patiently await for updates! :)

Come one you guys, Ashal made a simple set of rules, keep within these boundaries and no trouble has to start.

These rules where set to protect this site from outside interference.

Piracy? o.O ??? Are you talking about MBP? Or illegally downloading GOTY? My appologies, when I was refering to download links I was referring to stuff like OBSE, TES4Edit, LEGAL stuff. I did not mean to indicate I would be posting piracy links...geeze.

illegally download of Goty. or bypassing it any way. MPB has nothing to do with that. and it wasn't you, but killerpinguin that is why his post post been edited and not yours.

That confused me too. I read and reread Reigor's helpful comments over several times and scratched my head repeatedly in total perplexity. Your note in Killerpenguin's post was in normal text. I think that's why we couldn't understand what was going on.

I, for on, am glad that Ashal's rules are there and that they are very basic and simple. I was on a forum once (unnamed out of respect) that you needed a degree in English and probably Law to follow.

Sorry, I'm off topic again.

(bows out having embarrassed self, with sheepish grin)

IT WORKS YAY IT WAS THE FACT THAT I DIDN'T HAVE MBP + + THANK YOU WHOEVER WROTE THAT GUIDE, now new question what does it mean when it says flogging issued, increase something something stat after going through a round of training. and is there any other sound other than the whip during it?

Think of the file you downloaded as a kind of sketch. A rough layout of what the mod, when finished, might look like. The important part that thom thom has here is the capture, long walk, auction, and finally BDSM torture of the player toon. A teaser. More to come when thomthom is happy with his work.

Cheers

Apparently I need to add a final step to my guide that states that the mod is an alpha concept teaser that ends in the training loop. Thus try it, be hooked, remove it, and then to try to wait patiently for the next release. :P

Thanks for helping people out, Reigor. Documentation and support is not something I do well at all.

I was actually tempted in the next release to force the player to click through a messagebox each time the mod is loaded stating:

"I understand this is a work in progress, and not complete. If the mod ends abruptly or appears to be in a loop, I will wait patiently for the next release."

But that just seemed too blunt.

I have already added a few checks for isModLoaded when playerSlave starts so it should warn and complain if you miss a dependency.

Sorry about taking so horribly long on this. Aside from rewriting parts I was unhappy with, my work schedule has been packed as of late with other development items.

I like this idea, although I think that "I will not post on the forums without reading the readme file, even if I have to translate it into my language" should be added too.

I had to laugh at the above. Mods with built in caveats/player health warnings - whatever next?

Sorry laughing too hard to type much more.

Good health and blessings to you both.

Needs more bureaucracy! A form for requesting use of mod resources, an accreditation form for mods to ensure that they're "fit for public release" and a waiver form for users to prevent them complaining about "inappropriate" content in mods they download. Filled out in triplicate using black ink only and failure to adhere to these conditions means their likeness may be used in whatever manner the mod author may chose.

There was a mod, not sure the name. But it forces you to read the readme and somewhere in it a clue is given to change in the ini, to activate it. Failure to comply means when you start your game or new game a screen pops up warning you you did not read the readme so it's dying time. Boom character killed. :P game over. :D

That mod was Unnecessary Violence and I remember dying with a WTF expression :D. An updated readme with an installation guide really should be enough, perhaps later when playerslave is more in beta stage there can be a configuration control that has a troubleshooting button to display or test for in game requirements.

Speaking of the mod itself, Thomthom you mentioned a few pages back that you were satisfied with an instanced camping system and wanted one that different locations done specifically. I was thinking, maybe you could use the work that you did on a generic camp and use it as a drop in default when a specific site isn't available for the slaver to stop at. Then with future mod expansions can add more sites along with more owners. Or perhaps better yet, perhaps a generic camp that is relatively easy for another modder to use as a template so that they can make up their own camp sites and give them to the community much like the discussion with adding potential slave owners.

Unnecessary Violence, yes that was the one. The pissed off looks on those noobs when getting angry on the bethesda board was priceless. :D

I missed out on that one. Must've been a riot.

thomthom, a mod called claudia's little secret is also being developed, account name on Tesnexus is grumpf, but he succesfully built a instance within a tent system, you should go and ask him for some help or advice on the best way to do yours. his part 3 of his mod series is already 1.8 gb uncompressed material.

donkey About before I am sorry for disobeying the rules, I didn't mean to, and I'm sorry for the disrespect I gave you many months earlier, and am thankful I have been allowed to rejoin this site.

On that note, Is that avatar pic of you? or just some random hot girls huge breasts?
