[Outdated] PlayerSlave 06202011

I'm having a weird bug that I assume is only tangentially related to playerslave, but I'm not really sure what would be the best place to ask and there seem to be plenty of smart and knowledgeable people in this thread so here it is.  Basically, my walk animations have all been changed to woman's walk.  At least, I'm pretty sure it's woman's walk.  It can be hard to tell with some of these.  I used to use umpa's sexy walk but then I installed a bunch of stuff at once (I know, never a good idea, but sometimes I just get impatient  ) and ever since then not only have my animations been (some other random animations are different too, like sword stances) different but I have been unable to reverse the changes despite my best efforts (which are pretty poor and uninformed tbh).  This includes the walk animation in playerslave where your arms are supposed to be bound.  It's not a game breaking issue or anything, but I really liked umpa's sexy walk and it kind of breaks the immersion for playerslave.  I've included my load order below.  Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Nothing further, yet. Next update (which might take a while, be patient) will include actual masters, along with escape and such.

Silk - Try following these steps, it should cover any mod dependency errors

JaisBane / thomthom - I've noticed while looking with TES4Edit (see step 7 below) that ZMC adds an idle animation that can possibly conflict with other mods, such as loverswithPKextender (it might, might not, I'm just looking at the entry).  It might be possible to patch this.

 

1. Shivering Isles installed with latest Official Patch from Bethesda.

2. OBSE 20 (the latest one) found here http://obse.silverlock.org/

2a.  I highly recommend using Oblivion Mod Manager OR Wyrebash, besides both are excellent for installing mods they both come with a launch function that launches the game with OBSE.  If your not sure which, use OMM, its easier to use.  This will ensure that OBSE is used when the game starts.

3. Install BOTH Oblivion and Shivering Isles Unofficial Patches.

4. You need both Modular Beautiful People 1.4.1 AND Modular Beautiful People Plus Plus version 92 or higher.  They are two separate files.  The latest MBP++ is located here http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37368  and it has instructions on how to get the base MBP files.  Just to be safe I would use the latest version of MBP++.

5. You need Lovers Resource and LoversPK89 with Lovers with PK.esm activated.  Its not a stated requirement but I would also have the other base lovers files, Lovers with PK.esp, the two animation priority esps, and LoversFSE activated as well.

6. Use BOSS to arrange your load order (which both OOM and Wyrebash have functionality with).  Place ZMCPlayerSlave.esp before LoversPK.esp in your load order.  If you are using a merged or bashed patch, uncheck the lovers mods first, build the patch and then reactivate the mods (per Ashal's lovers guide)

7. If your problem still persists I would recommend using TES4Edit which can be found on Nexus.  Run it and then right click on ZMCPlayerSlave, select check for errors.  If you get a whole bunch then there is likely a missing dependency.  Also, for NPC issues check their entries and see if the file path for their faces, bodies, skin, equipment, etc...actually exist in your data folder.  Take a look also to see if any other mods might be overwriting ZMCPlayerSlave's entries, especially regarding NPCs.

Feng - My vision is slightly different.  I was thinking that the late Emperor was the driving force behind anti slavery and perhaps other puritanical laws such as public nudity, sex, prostitution, etc...When he died and the Council took over the individual cities of the Empire started apply there own rules based on their own local traditions.  For example Cherdinhal near Morrowind is more open to slavery, especially racial slavery.  Other cities might be more affected by corruption and have a "Indentured Servitude" where criminals by law have to work off their sentences, but can end up in abusive situations.  Anvil, where the goddess Dibella has great influence, public nudity and sex might become accepted and even embraced like a form of art.

I have a little issue. It's probably been reported before, and probably fixed. There's 27 pages out there and it's hard to read every one of them. So bare with me please. I go to borderwatch inn (using that code, coc borderwatchinn, dunno if it's relevant) to test the mod, I sleep in for 24 hours, 4 hours pass, I wake up. There's a whole bunch of people in the room and.... CTD.

 

Tried changing the load order a little, but little to no help. They don't even do anything, I see them for a split second and everything goes to hell. I wonder if it's script related or something bugged on the models (in my experience, when something that shouldn't be seen is seen, crashes occur). I really dunno. Can anyone shed some light in this? Has this happened before? IF so, is there a fix?

 

Ok just an addition. On a fluke I decided to go outside Borderwatch Inn, and I also crashed. It's less than an hour to when the slavers are supposed to come in and supposedly beat me up, so maybe it's because the slavers were so close that I could see them (gamewise, which brings me to the above) or something entirely different. I think I saw something at the beginning of this thread about CTDs around Borderwatch.

It's probably because you don't have MBP++, it will either cause the slavers to be headless or crash the game.

banshe - I agree with leddis3, make sure you have MPB 1.4.1 and MBP++ .92 or higher installed. Also, take a look at the bottom of page 25, I've made up a mini-troubleshooting guide based on my experiences that lists the necessary requirements (known so far to me).

Alright, thanks to your advise I went and re-installed MBP 1.4.1 and MBP++ .92. But I ran into another snag, and this time it's path finding. Slaver that beats you up on borderwatch starts marching to god knows where (I assume its the auction that everyone talks about) but he goes on and beyond the edge of the map. Character gets stuck (but not the slaver), eventually the guy goes too far, I think the character is teleported to him to catch up, but he's beyond the edge of the map, message shows up saying sort of "You can't go there" (as in, actual pop up window rather than that small line on top right corner), screen flickers, you get stuck. It doesn't freeze the game, you can close just as you would normally, but you're stuck there.

 

-Edit- Oh I see now that it is a known issue and that the author is working on it. Okay. no probs.

Interesting, I never ran into that problem, but then I have border regions enabled in the oblivion ini. So you can try that. A a word of warning. The Long March is LONG, you might want to just move your character to Choral and just wait somewhere in the city. The slavers will eventually find you.

But it looks like something is not working for me.

I sleept in Chorol and got captured then "escorted " to Wendolyn where she took my character do "training " then back to upper floor and chained to the wall.

after a while she talked to me and then again took to basement. then again to upper wall and again again again and again.

Im doing something wrong or ?

Yes it is looping, as it should, she doesn't know how to do anything else in the published release. What the loop does is prove a few scripts I had been working on that I found quite itneresting, for example, she programmatically (albeit randomly) decided which device to use, and we are dynamically moving markers and having behaviors at those markers.

 

As a framework this is required behavior, for example in the version I have been testing and tweaking for a few days now, when I want to add another device in a room for variety, I just have to add it in the editor, and position it how I feel. No extra scripting or modding is required, for her to choose to use it. Or for example, if Wendolyn was in the chapel of chorrol and wanted to tie you up she would be able to build a package (procedurally) that determines the best (closest) place to tie you up at.

 

So yes its WIP, and I am still working on it as I get time. I have forced myself to close my feature list for now and work solely on bugs and polish.

I finally made it work. And thank you MtM for the video.

 

I had a little problem. I was at Border Warch and they captured my char. She then followed him. However it reached a point where the game started to say that I couldn't pass that point. The Slaver went away and my char stayed there, walking against the invisible wall. >.<
