how does we avoid slave attacker it comes from no where or if becomes slave how can escape from it

 

The ability for escape isn't in the version posted here. There are scripts already written and tested to support escape, but the player most likely will not be able to escape on their own (you might have to find help).

 

I am working as often as I can on getting a new version out. I might be asking some of you who either contributed or are mod makers yourselves to preview and test for me before I release the next version. Since there are now so many scripts and parts and pieces to this thing, I don't know if anyone could test the entire thing end to end.

 

Stay tuned for more details as I work through my buglist.

Well at the very least expand your testing-base.

I understand why you want fellow modders to test it first, but while I'm no modder I am a fairly decent troubleshooter and could try to help making it run smoothly.

Just posting to say that even though this mod is a WIP it's very well-done!

 

I just got it installed recently and my character finally got captured by the slavers at Borderwatch Inn. I'm typing this post as I see my character bound and gagged and forced to walk the long trek alongside the slavers.

 

I don't think there's any reason for me to reiterate what's been said already so all I'm gonna say is thank God for the "tgm" console command, if you know what I mean. ;)

 

Definitely looking forward to an update!

 

EDIT: Seems like idle animations need to be deactivated as well or your character will "fall off" from her chained stations.

 

EDIT 2: Ok, well it seems like I'm stuck in some sort of loop. The mistress just keeps on punishing my character. If not, she makes her wait all chained up, only to return to another session of punishment. Must have done this several times over with no change, so I'm guessing I've already experienced the "end" of the quest so far? :)

Yup! that's it until thomthom has finished testing for the next release. I think it will be worth the wait.

I just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with your work on this mod. This mod is conceptually and aesthetically impressive and the scope is ambitious. I appreciate the fact that you’re already thinking ahead and scripting as clean a mod as possible. Well done and good work.

- MtM has continued perfecting the collar scripts to a degree that I would have never expected.

- The waypoint/camping system for slavers is finished and working (see full description below)

- The auction system is finished although not as polished as I would like. I want to add more dialogue, etc, etc.

- Slave carts are partially implemented (horse driven) (see details below)

- Pluggy will be a requirement of the next version for some HUD updates I have been tweaking on (blindfolds maybe?)

- Messed around with particle system to try and implement a leashed effect (still working on this, lots to learn in that panel -- Anyone know of a good explanation/tutorial of the particle system?)

- Added some new and awesome meshes that have been linked in this thread and provided by GSBModders (You rock!) (Future releases might result in needing vipcxj's high heels system)

- Worked out a small program to hopefully allow batch changing/removal of MBP dependencies. (Some people like it, some don't... and some people, me, use MBP with XEO)

 

WayPoints

To help with the weird world pathing around the Imperial City, I have added some waypoints for Slavers to use for navigation. When the slaver starts the journey to take the slave to market, s/he builds an array of all waypoints between the start and the dest, then selects and builds a route based on those available waypoints. As the slaver reaches each waypoint the route is recalculated. Something special happens though when the slaver reaches a waypoint.... camping.

 

Camping

The slaver will place a portable tent (look around on tesnexus and you will see the portable tent/houses/pocket dimension mods) and enter it. The player follows and is chained to the floor to wait (similar to Wendoyln's waiting script). The slaver then proceeds to sleep/eat/sex/read for a few hours while the player waits. At this point a few different things might happen (and some others too, but I want them to be surprises). The brief is that while the slaver sleeps the player might be able to form an escape, or perhaps help may arrive in an unlikely way, or maybe things just got much much much worse. Once the slaver wakes and is done resting, the player is unleashed and they will continue on their journey.

I'm not sure if this is the thread to ask this sort of question, but is there a reason when the slaver clubs me... Afterwards all I get is a loop of him putting a gag in my mouth and nothing more? It doesn't seem to be working for me either way. :(

Thomthom I was hoping you could help me out,

 

I've tried reinstalling MBP which fixed a bunch of corrupt races. thankfully, but did not fix my crashes problem, and so far with what I've tried to do I cant seem to keep the game from CTD either when I do the wait and it tries to load, or when I get hit by the guy.

 

At one point I was magically able to get it to partially work, when I was stuck in jail at skingrad and served my time, lamaure was right outside the door hit me, which also crippled my strength making me over encumbered which made it not possible to have sex with him till I emptied my inventories, and then I got fucked then was doign the bound walk of shame for about maybe 4 to 8 seconds, then poof crash...

 

Heres my Mod Load order, also take note I'm using a torrent version of the game cause I didn't feel like spending more money on it when I already have a copy of it and all its expansions for the 360, which I got before I knew about all this epic mod stuff.

I've tried the disabling of the conflicting mods esps, sometimes it worked, the other 90% of the time it didn't, and the 10% of the time it did, it still crashed soon after...

 

I don't know how to properly set All of the oblivion files back to before I ever modded them, because when I try to uninstall and reinstall the esps and files stay the same.

 

If you can tell me how to do this so I can restart with my modding, and then give me a quick guide of what files I should put in first etc. That would be a great help.

 

 

Lastly, for the short time that I did get to see the bound walk of shame, I loved it, it was perfect, hope you can help me to see the full thing soon.

 

Oh lastly lastly, I had updated the lovers with pk from rev 89 to rev whatever the newest version is right now, if you think the glitch could be caused by me updating it, instead of a complete wipe of its old files and input of the new ones please tell me how to best do a clean wipe etc. thank you for your time when you read this. May Akatosh give you the power to do more of this mod to a completion stage and praise genetics that we have intelligent human beings like you!


Just realized one last thing, I have the shivering isles expansion and its unofficial patch, but have yet to go in and do any of its quests. if you have any reason to believe this could cause a problem please tell me in your reply.

I have only ever tested this mod at the absolute very bottom of the load order, like seriously, make it the very last mod. This mod has not been tested with any other mods, or is guaranteed to work with any other mods. I, myself am using a full FCOM installation with MBP/Xeo and have no issues, but YMMV.

 

If you are crashing it could be any number of things, check your obse version? Be sure it is the latest.

 

I mentioned somewhere in this thread or the old one that I did have an installation of oblivion at one point that ended up "corrupted". Any time I would visit a certain exterior cell the game would crash. This problem persisted even with uninstalling all mods back to vanilla. Perhaps your install is corrupt?

 

 

Because of the aggressive nature of the slavers and the looping end, I don't actually recommend anyone put this as a regular mod in their load order. I stated before that the version uploaded here is woefully out of date to what I am working on right now, so most of the bugs people are experiencing will be fixed in the next release. This is also still a work in progress test of the underlying scripts. I know that isn't the best end-user support, but it really is the best I can do.

onthe theory that negatives are useful I can tell you that the load order for me is not important. I have run this mod at the end of the load order and also prior to Lovers with pk.esp with no issues. Also, I have not even started shivering isles, so I don't think that is the issue.

 

Looking at your mods there are a couple that I understand don't play nice with with others like playerslave, particularly joburg and truecrime. You also have some mods that I believe no longer work at all, such as escaperape.

 

I also believe that idleadminpriority.esp and adminobjectspriority.esp should typically be below the other lovers mods.

 

lastly, you indicated that you are fairly new to Oblivion for PC, so if you have not yet downloaded from Oblivion Nexus the following, it may be worth checking out:

Oblivion Crash Prevention System

TES4Edit

Oblivion Mod Manager

 

Also, please make sure your video card drivers are current.

hi all,

personally, from what i've seen posted on this thread, this is gonna be one of the best mods around. I may be more lucky than most as I have been blessed with the ability to be extreemly patient, So take as long as you need to get it working just the way you want it. Also modders make the mod formost for themselves then for others, so if you want to make use of mbp/mbp++ then use it, if you find you need to use other dependancies, use them (links would be appreciated tho). As a side note once the updated version is released it'll definantly jump to the top of my list (a posistion currently held by wolfzq's cursed armour mod).

I have BOSS and OMOD I used the OCPS at one point but found it to claimed by many people could do more harm than good. I never downloaded TES4Edit because I have no grasp on how to use it etc.

I will Try Re-installing my oblivion game once more if nothing else seems to work.

 


Lastly, Thomthom, skyrim will be out in a few months, I suggest while updating this, to also take all parts of your mod that aren't place relevant like everything that involves scripts movements poses, etc. And copy them into a separate folder to be saved for when you might wish to remake this for skyrim. I also really hope that in skyrim, the npcs won't all rely on one .nif for their bodies, anyways keep up the good work. I guess Best thing I should do is wait for your update and try again then. Also I suggest after this update you try and find some women and men to do voice overs for some of the important parts of your mod.

also to whoever said that escaperape doesn't work, it actually does, you basically spam block till you break free, sometimes you cant other times you do.

 

using obse 19, will check for new version, will also re-copy all my mods files into my oblivion folder hopefully overriding anything that might have become corrupt. then try a few other things before trying to reinstall again.

 

But anyways if anyone has the official latest patch for oblivion, and can somehow make it so I could manually input the files instead of the autorun package, because it detects a change in my oblivion esm, and therefore wont complete the update. but anyways I'll try using the OCPS again.


Is it possible that in using Adultplayplusforssp It causes problems? if you could thomthom post the mods you are currently running that could greatly help me out.

Due to the engine change, it's highly unlikely that anything but dialog would be reasonably able to transfer to the new editor. >_<

Actually the latest OBSE is v20, and all the scripts in my mod are compiled and working with v20. The version I have been working on currently specifically has functions that were introduced in v20.

 

In other mod news, I scrapped my "camping" system and started rewriting it the other day. Having a "portable" cell in which the activities take place makes for easier mod making (like a framework) but I think it really felt generic and scripted, so I have started working on static camping locations (in a separate esp) that will work with the base ESM. The true exterior camping locations will allow for a better "rescue"* experience for the player during the long march. This also allows me to easily setup camps that might have specific "tools" at the slaver's disposal, like carts, horses, devices, more assistants, etc.

 

*Note: Rescue does not always mean "freedom"

 

I have successfully merged in all of the great additions provided by MtM and his wonderful scripting skills. I still have a bunch of dialog to clean up, and move to the split ESM/ESP.

 

I wanted to include some additional backstory of the characters, and I have someone in particular working on that right now. Lots of changes in the works, hopefully we can all remain as patient as possible.

 

 

I REALLY dont want to derail my own thread but...

 

On the note of skyrim, yes I will be playing and eventually modding in skyrim, but odds are I will continue to work on this mod and oblivion modding in general, for quite some time.

 

As far as I know, Gamebryo will not be the engine of choice with skyrim, and bethesda hasn't confirmed that we will even be able to mod like we do here (I may be wrong, but this is what I heard).

 

So if an engine change is in the works, odds are we wont get this level of modding for some time. The base components and groundwork laid by the morrowind modders in the gamebryo engine so many years ago, and carried forward to today will most likely have to be redone. The tricks/magic that MWSE/OBSE/FOSE do will need to find their future implementations in this new unknown engine. And honestly, even though it was rough at the edges, pure gameplay-wise I still think Morrowind was superior to Oblivion.... So I cant imagine (despite what the previews say) that Skyrim is really going to be a better game than Oblivion. Better graphics/engine/etc? Yes. Better "game"? Maybe not. (I want my armor slots and skills back!)

 

 

 

 

P.S. I might post again tonight with a status update on the new camping. between that and the ESM/ESP split are the only two major issues I want to clear up before I publish the next release.

Waiting with baited breath here! Loving the Idea that this is now an .esm/.esp situation... That means I can dig in and alter NPC looks etc to my tastes :D And all of the ideas you seem to have for this mod, just sound fantastic. Thanks a ton, Thomthom... Looking forward to it!

Always good to see another message/update from you.

I couldn't agree more re Skyrim. I almost never buy a game before the first major patch.

There is still plenty of life left in Oblivion yet and far too many unknowns with the new game.

 

This mod that you are making here is potentially too good to get impatient over hence I shall be content to see it when you are satisfied that it's fit to be uploaded.

I discovered that I did update to v20 of OBSE sometime ago, the OCPS did not help, and sorta made me crash or freeze when I tried to sleep in a bedroll under a tent. But found that I cant find the Elys Crashshield it said I shuold move anywhere within the folder. If anyone can help me get that file maybe it will help me with the crashing problem. Anyways I'm going to reinstall Oblivion hoping it works properly.


I tried looking for the non ++ edition of MBP and couldn't find it anymore I was looking to see if I needed to update it. Any ideas?
