Not to become another Tom12.. but......

Is there any chance that the requirement for MBP will ever be removed? I have tried to get MBP, MBP++, MBP C++, MBPwtf, and all the rest of the bat-eared creepy looking things to work with very little success.

I would love to play this mod.. after reading all 44 pages and diligently following the installation guide.. when I get to installing all that Japanese(?) stuff I am clueless.

So, and I do respect your work, please.. I implore you to remove the MBP requirement.

Sincerely,

Irish

I had quite abit of trouble with MBP and the ++. Faces were below ground and skin textures were missing. I just played with the instalation order until it worked. I think I re-installed the MBP over the ++ wich seems backwards to me. So you might give installing one over the other and see if that works. I haven't been able to find a readme, that I can read, that explains how to install them. But I got it to work.

Thomthom previously mentioned that the MBP requirement would be removed from the base mod, but that his plugins to his framework would still have that requirement.

Glad to hear you found 'A Dance with Rogues' Thomhom. It is actually what made me fall in love with the Lovers mod series. After playing that humble NWN mod I was forever ruined; any fantasy game that doesn't have sexual content, potential risk of rape (even if you work to avoid it, that just adds tot he experiance), and that same 'grit' just feels lacking to me.

Thankfully, the community has stepped up to add that 'grit' to both Oblivion and Fallout, and hopefully eventually, Skyrim. All that we are really missing is a mod that actually integrates Lovers into the games vanilla quests.

For those of you having trouble with Beautiful People. I think the install order is key to prevent issues. There is a pretty good demo of installing MBP using OMOD on youtube under the title "How to install Chanpon" (just forget the champon part) at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SDmT5FjUdw

FYI the install order they use is:

1. Install HGEC_Body_with__BBB_v1dot11-34442.omod

2. Install Beautiful People 2ch-Ed v1.8.0 Fixed

3. Install (MBP) Modular Beautiful People 2ch-Edition (Full) 1.4.omod

4. Change .ini settings to bFaceGenTexturing=0

5. Install MBP++094a

Thank you for finding this information and putting it together for people. I tend to just hack away and trying to get a mod working and then am never really able to explain it to anyone :D.

To re-iterate what has been posted before, yes the base esm wont have a MBP requirement. But the esp with the content will have an MBP requirement. Hopefully what this means is someone who wants to make their own mod using the scripts in the esm is welcome to, however if you want to use the content I have already created you will need MBP++ installed.

Progress Updates:

- Squashed more bugs in the camp code

- Message boxes at the "end" of the mod

- Started cleaning up unused forms/scripts/etc

- Added a prototype "narrative window" esp

I think one of the problems with MBP is you have to go to several different places to get parts of each requirement. There is the 4 part 7zip file from TES Nexus, and in order to use THAT you have to have a 2 part file from the Chinese/Japanese site.. then.. if you get that working you need to find the update posted at this site.. and THEN...

It's a rather brutal dichotomy. Wanting to play a game as a slave.. and yet having to surrender yourself to the torture of installing and troubleshooting the part that makes yo a slave.

(Please don't take the above post too seriously.. I AM going to try this one more time with the load order/install order new info.. TYVM for that!)

OK.. you mean there is a DIFFERENT MBP than what is posted on this site? (Ref #2 above) I found MBP++ v.094, 2CH edition 1.04Omod, and .094a, Choco elf ver.

Does a link exist that does not take me to a chinese/japanese/russian/klingon site. Meaning one where I can read what I am downloading?

Thank you so much for throwing this old gamer a bone!

Hi there Irishredneck,

I have some chores I need to do now, but if you can give me a few hours I will find and post links and explanations for MBP.

EDIT: Done. I didn't want to post it here out of respect for thomthom and his thread. Therefore, I have posted it under a thread called 'How to Install Beautiful People' under Lovers Lab » General » Tutorials & Guides (http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=1602). It is perhaps a bit too detailed, but hopefully it helps.

Hi aspirine2,

I think you're missing the base Beautiful People file. If you go to the link above (sorry i'm currently on an ipad and I can't cut and paste the link) to the tutorial page you will find the links to the critical files. From what I see above, you have all the MBP files but you do not have the Beautiful People 2nd-Edition file.

If you haven't seen it alread I put a detailed install tutorial for Beautiful people under the Lovers/General/Tutorials/How to install beatiful people thread.

asperine2,

The links and all the notes on how to Install Beautiful People are under the thread How to Install Beautiful People which can be found under Lovers Lab - General - Tutorials and Guides. the link to this post can be found in my post fromearlier today ( it is 5 up from this one).

Thanks Rogue13. Kudos to you and your information. I got it to work.

Might want to re-look at the link to "Beautiful People 2ch-Ed v1.8.0 Fixed". It links to an exe file that repeatedly crashed on install. I Googled the name and found a better link to a 7zip file that worked perfectly.

Again, Thank you for your time and patience with me.

To bring back the discussion to possible FUTURE additions to the mod after the beta comes out *eyes Thomtom* I would like to integrate activities like the animated bathing mod.

http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=359

This mod makes it possible for the player and an NPC to bathe together, perhaps with appropriate text boxes or future animations the slave can wash her Mistress or Master which can be intimate or scary depending on the circumstances.

Also if any sort of chore system is eventually implemented, where the slave has to do tasks around her owner's residence to keep in their good graces, keeping herself clean could be another task. Though she likely only gets a bucket of water and a washrag. :D

And back to troubleshooting:

aspirine2 - Again where and when is the crash happening? If its happening on game load you might not have Shivering Isles installed. So it might not be MBP related.

Very little is still doable- and although being dragged around gaged and bound seems like it would be fun after the first 30mins I start to yawn and walk off to do something else while I wait for something to happen. Upon getting to the training area I find myself wondering what I was waiting for over 30mins for. I understand its still heavily in Alpha stages, but not to seem heady or mean....

To me it seems the modder responsible should release at least some content to keep the players interested in the mod coming back to check on it's status. You have this list of interesting things that have been started working on or are now being talked about but we see none of these things in the actual test mod.

If the data is still buggy perhaps a note to the right of the data saying "not implemented due to bugs"

As of now the mod has very little value as something downloadable. It shows promise due to what could possibly be made out of it.

In short, thanks for the mod, please release a more complete version for testing as this one with its lack of things to do made me wish my character would be killed along the road by wandering mud crabs.

I absolutely agree with Rawrbiscuits!

Doesn't anyone read forums any more? The download that's available is an incomplete test of the mod to demonstrate the animations, the new furniture, and the following/quest/dialog scripting. It isn't complete and isn't designed to be playable for more than testing purposes.

But Galgat arranged for several versions of his LoversCrowningIsle! And we are stuck on one! I would like to test what is!

What Galgat does should have no bearing on what others should do. More over, some of the later Crowning Isle updates were made possible by what Thomthom made for people to use.

Thomthom is making a resource that he hopes other people will use to make more content. That mean he has to make sure that what he is making works, is easy to use and does what people want. That takes time. If he doesn't, modders like Galgat will have problems making new content for their own mods.

For your information I did read the post, I do know the content is not in the mod. But as they are developer notes they either mean they are basically implemented but not currently offered in the download or are only just now being thought of being implemented. My response was meant for the creator, saying that testers will soon get bored with a mod that currently has no or little playability as a stand alone mod.

So your point is nullified. My point is that there isn't enough in the mod currently to test to see if it works. As far as I can tell the little that is in the mod works perfectly, the way that the slaver stops turns and moves towards the character shows that it could possible trigger displaying a tent and camping but nothing happens and the walk continues.

So to sum it all up, it needs more features, options and information to make it worth play testing. After the download I did feel it was rather pointless to play test something that had very little to actually test.

Just to let you know, if you scroll between first person and 3rd person while wiggling your mouse and the wasd key's you can "break" the object and move around stuck in the pose dragging the object along with you behind you. (in the mistress area)
