For example, leather (iron, etc) pony boots (corset, etc) that basically provide armor equivalent to leather (iron, etc) boots (cuirass, etc) respectively. These would obviously fall under the same armor type as they're equivalent to (light/heavy) with comparable weight.

Yup^ And that's probably the cause in this case. Another potential cause are some of the body-conversions floating around, which also haven't been updated yet, and can thus also cause such issues. ... DD For Him also caused the issue I had with the Harness Ring Gags. Damn it, I should have known to troubleshoot that mod as well, they did say it right on the description that it touches all items and attached scripts. So, sorry for wasting your time earlier with a pointless bug report. Now I'm off to DD For Him to post the bug report there, maybe it'll get fixed if they ever update.

DDx is ment to be a companion mod to DDi, and follows it's conventions quite closely as a result. Well that, and if you ever open up the DDx .esm file in Tes5Edit and have a look at just how much stuff is actually in there now, most of which would have to be duplicated to make armoured versions.. huuhhh.. that's a whole lotta work, and that's not even all of it, there's more work attached in the Zadxlibs script. There's more DD items in the pipeline, and i also help out with the DDa and DDi mods, so i think my time is better spent getting that stuff up and running, rather than creating even more duplicate versions to deal with. It would not be difficult for someone to make a plugin mod that does this though. Time consuming, absolutely, but not technically difficult. DD-FH uses override records, so that's the sort of thing that can sadly happen with it. It has to do that 'mind, to do what it does there's really no way around it, but it does mean it's overwriting the code of DDi and DDx, and that can cause some issue when we make changes on our end. Hopefully Wasps will have some free time to get it updated soon, seems a fair few people are using the mod. Looking awesome. My followers can't wait to be color coded I think i have some more stuff around here that might help with that.. lets see... ah yeah, Ebonite versions: I'm aiming for a release this weekend

Yea, I think many people have it installed as a soft-dependency for captured dreams even if they aren't in the habit of trussing up their own male characters/followers, just unfortunate that it unavoidably causes such issues in the meantime. Easy to forget you have it installed when updating. The new stuff looks amazing, will certainly be looking forward to it (clipping on my non-default CBBE body be damned). Good enough that I should probably try my hand at outfit studio for the first time as a hold-over for any bodyslide conversions.

My followers can't wait to be color coded I think i have some more stuff around here that might help with that.. lets see... ah yeah, Ebonite versions: I'm aiming for a release this weekend i'm curious if it would take much for you to test my results, maybe you could make a test esm (additional copy during save/edit) after coloring the boots, make the white boots armored and try it in game to see the effects then if was no good scrap the test file and nothing's armored ...if that'd be alot of work to test that out still then nvm, anybody interested will need to ask min for that type of update (atm we don't know if that's a bug in aradia that prevents it from recieving the defense bonus or if its something written into DD that prevents it)

The defense bonus relies on keywords attached to normal armours, keywords which are not used on the DD items as they are not armour, and which Gameplayer may not have added to the Aradia set's either, perhabs as a deliberate choice so they don't become OP, or maybe he just missed it. Truth be told, i haven't used any of those perks for over a year, so i could easilly overlook it aswell.

When I equip it it's not showing on my characters body. If I reload a save game it appears for a fraction of a second and disappears again. Any help appreciated, I'm using UNP TBBP btw

magicrealm Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Cooper, can you block other mods from taking your devious devices off ? if so, please do so. i see that harness is never taken off, and Pony boots, but SD, Mias lair etc take all other items off. thats not the sense of slvae Equipment, when it is taken off when it Comes to slavery games....
Coopervane Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Ehh.. that might be possible, but it would be invasive and with lots of oppertunity to break other DD mods in the process. I get your complaint with it, but handling this on DDx's side would be an ugly solution. Usually when mods strip you of gear, there's a quest important reason why they are doing that (often that the quest they have in place involves other devices getting put on you, and the quest would break if that can't happen), so i'd be breaking anything that relies on that functionality (maybe it woulden't break the mods you mentioned, but it would break others that i know of, and i need to stay mindful of the bigger picture here). So yeah, better to take this up with the mods in question. If they are stripping worn gear that they do not actually need to strip for quest reasons, then politely ask if they would considder changing their strip option from a global wipe, to a whitelist of devices that they need to strip to function.

Ohh well that's simple, you open up Blender and import the meshes, you select the verts, and then you rescale them. Then you follow the 500 page guide on how to export the mesh for use in Skyrim without having it all blow up in your face. I'm going to try re-installing some mods. Any other suggestions? You've installed a coversion, yeah? One of those bodyslide thinges.. It's outdated, the Armbinder changed slot since the conversion was made, take it up with the author of that mod.

Could be one bundled with another mod, will look into that. Just using UNP skinny 1.2. I do have a custom skeleton though, which I know is outdated. Going to look into that too.

The DDa installer had a wrong string in it for the UNP Skinny version, so it hasen't installed everything it should. The DDa download has been updated with a fixed installer, so you can just redownload it and use that, or you can manually install the meshes from the download you've already got. Either way, that should fix it.

Make sure you do not have devious devices for him in your load order, it is outdated and breaks armbinders in the new versions of DD.

Oh. XD I kinda thought I disabled that for a reason, but then re-enabled it when I updated all the DD mods, because I couldn't remember why. Going to test that quick... Aaand sure enough, now it works! No more invisi-binders that steal your hands, yaaaaay! Now to nuke DD for him, and make a note to never grab it again. Thanks!

What's needed is the High-Heel-System to make the boots work properly (which sadly also has "HDT" in it's name, and that seems to confuse everybody): http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36213/? Looks like the forum software is intent on breaking the links every time i update the OP. Guess i need to get into the habit of manually fixing them with every update. Well, i'll go do that now. For those of you following the thread, that was the update, i fixed links, nothing to get excited about.
