Hi there. Sorry for the late response. Life got in the way.

 

So I updated Bodyslide and reinstalled it, making sure to select the UUNP HDT options. There was a "Special" one too, but I went with the one labled HDT. 

 

Unfortunately, I seem to be right back where I started. Presets only show a UUNP- UNP option, not an HDT version. There is a UNP HDT option in the Outfit/Body window, but that's it. Preview shows the boots the right way, but even after rebuilding them in this new install, they still cut off right above the foot.

 

XPMSE and HDT physics are installed.

The options are found in:

\CalienteTools\BodySlide\SliderGroups\UnifiedUNPGroups.xml

You needed to select the right options in the Bodyslide installer dialog.

Those are the options I've selected, but I'm still not seeing any kind of "UUNP UNP HDT" Preset.  Here's my install selections:

So unless I just needed to morph that Body Unified UNP HDT to match the Preset UUNP - UNP, I still don't really know what I'm doing wrong.

But I still have the issue of the boots cutting off right above the foot, even if the character has nothing else in their inventory.

I'm assuming that this has to be a bodyslide issue, but even with the new install, the problem is persisting, and no other items from the DD series are having this problem besides the catsuit gloves if worn alone, but that's not limited to me. Sometimes there are problems of the items not fitting characters from a recently downloaded follower mod, but if I overwrite the meshes they came with with the ones other NPCs are using they're fine.

 

I mean, outside of issues like this.

I think that's racemenu preset issue actually, bodyslide changes how the belly, boobs etc are shaped. It started happening to me too although much less severe after i scaled the whole body taller slightly. I should propably test with that a bit more, and if in turn i scale it smaller again then Devious Contraptions arms don't align with the furniture.

Would Racemenu be affecting all female characters, be they playable, followers, citizens, and randomly generated though? I was under the impression it only targeted specific characters, either the PC during character creation or if you were using EFF to give someone tattoos or something.

 

Also, I haven't really messed around with most of the sliders in Racemenu. Usually skip the UUNP Morphs section, and the section that goes into making specific body parts differently shaped, or height. Tried messing around with things randomly while wearing the boots just now to see if some combination would fix them, but all I really managed to do was create a gap where my hands and arms met.

No it wouldn't. In my case though npcs and followers are perfectly on ground, just i'm slightly below floor. I don't know the reason right now, it's the same wether i wear any clothing at all or not. So it's not about building the armors right if the body itself messes up. I even set the racemenu scale back to 1.0 but it didn't do a thing. This might be nice topic in the tech support section. I was thinking maybe some high heel effect is mistakenly on when it shouldn't, but i don't know how that could happen. I don't even have the hdtHighHeels mod, only RaceMenu with nioverride.

(I mean lets be clear here, the DD's ballet heels and so on do not use hdtHighHeels, only nioverride.)

 

Oh hmm, did i do something to FootIK...

edit: No i can't even find a section of it in either skyrim ini. It could potentially fix it though because you can raise the feet that way. Just that it might raise the npcs too.

I still don't know what actually causes this bug. I gave some semi serious attempt at fixing it today, including Bodyslide rebuilding all items again with both UUNP XPMSE and UUNP feet versions, no changes. Tried skyrim.ini FootIK sections and also no effect ingame at all. But then i found a mod that lets you make custom nioverrides and got it perfect:

Basically i move the entire root node upwards a bit. There is another "body" node too but i think SexLab will reposition the root for animation. I don't know, it still looked well aligned in animations, while i can almost pixel perfect the accuracy of feet on ground. And on top of that the mod should be keeping the changes between all your saves. Easy reset also in the menu.

 

Edit: Also thanks @Rogwar002 i could recompile zadEquipScript and could open a "new era" of Skyrim for me ?  Needed older version of Notepad++ to have the Papyrus++ plugin compatible. But then after starting it from MO2 i could start seeing compilation errors and get more clues to why it still failed. It led me to this thread:

... which meant i had to install scripts from ConsoleUtil and FNIS Sexy Move. I don't use animations from it but scripts are required it seems.

Guys, an old problem has resurfaced in a new  play through of my game after a reinstall. It's the issue with the mangled formal hobble dress. Can't remember what I did last time I had it, so I hope someone can refresh my memory.  Screenshot attached. Thanks.

For anybody who comes across this and has the same problem, this is caused by  corrupt bodyslide build of formal_dress_1.nif and formal_dress_eb_1.nif  files in meshes\devious\devices folder. cbbe body only. Solution is to replace with the same files from an older version of DDX.

I can't find formal_dress_1.nif in the DD archive files. Doing Windows search can only find it from MO2's Overwrite folder for each profile. So the nif doesn't exist until you build it with Bodyslide. It is possible that you built it wrong and it got corrupted that way. Sorry i only use UUNP for actual playing/testing.

 

For me it (DD 4.3a UUNP) looks like this in Outfit Studio, but obviously yours will be different because of Bodyslide preset you use is personal:

It is possible that a bad bodyslide build could be the cause,  I use the cbbe  body and there is no history of the problem happening with uunp so it could also be ccbe body related.

I am having a problem where animations fail to start 100% of the times I am wearing a straightjacket (doesn't matter if the legs are free, legbinder or dress). It used to let all normal animations through prior to 4.3, and at least blowjobs make a lot of sense. Any fix for it?

I would say rebuild bodyslide files, re-run fnis, then in game, clean and restart SL  and if you use it, Zap. If that fails to resolve it then reinstall DD and DDX.  Make sure load order is right. Good luck.

Did you mean zaz? I don't use it, and bodyslide and FNIS were rerun several times. The load order seems fine to me, but tell me if you see a problem

I see a lot of animation mods there so you may well have a conflict.  You could try to turn off temporarily, all animations mods except the ones required for DD to work then run the game a while to verify it.

Thanks, but it didn't work. All these animation mods are registered via SLAL and I always make sure I don't hit the limit of 500. It would also be kinda odd if the extra animations are the cause for no animations playing, isn't it? (Maybe I am missing something here), but anyway the animations themselves aren't the cause of the problem. Could SLAL itself cause issues?

This issue could depend on the body used. I use cbbe and have no animation issues with the straitjackets, however there is one with the elegant/formal hobble dress mesh which I fixed myself.

Possibly stupid question. I have a seam issue with the full body catsuits where the neck and arms don't line up properly. When I loaded up the project in Outfit Studio to take a look at it (DDXSuitsCBBE.xml in slidersets, and then the catsuit), and then load the CBBE body reference, the catsuit itself is slightly smaller than the CBBE, which is why I'm getting seam issues. The issue occurs only with the catsuit; the zipsuit from the same xml file is the correct size for CBBE. I'm not sure how to fix this. Have I missed a file somewhere that I need to download?
